Satsuki Kiryuin 1,155 May 13, 2014 Share May 13, 2014 Beats by Dre are trash headphones. MLP FiM isn't anything special, it just has a bit more appeal and quality compared to other shows. This fandom takes things to the extreme and overreacts too often. You have the right to an opinion but that doesn't mean you have the right to shove it down other peoples' throats. However, to others, this is considered what an opinion actually is. 1 ~Felicity~ @OtarineMusic | Otty's Facebook | Otty's Youtube | Otty's Soundcloud | Otty's Bandcamp
~Chaotic Eddie~ 479 May 13, 2014 Share May 13, 2014 This is the most underwhelming console generation ever, and I am so glad I am not participating in it outside of Nintendo. I agree - I shifted to PC this generation, and I also got a Wii U. Best move ever, if you ask me. I do poetry. multifacetedbrony 88 May 13, 2014 Share May 13, 2014 I really dislike hot sunny days I don't see the appeal of manga, anime or J-Pop I think Star Wars is overrated I don't think people should be allowed to discriminate because of "religious reasons", e.g. the scandal a few years back over here in the UK about a guesthouse who refused to let a gay couple stay. I just want to say here, I do realise there are a lot of people on this thread who's opinions of their right to do that are going to differ wildly from mine, and I'm not here to fight or be hateful towards anyone about it. But the thread is state your unpopular opinions, and that is one of mine! I find the whole social justice warrior thing self-important and pointless, it seems to be less about making a real difference and more about squabbling over semantics I think people being constantly connected to their smartphones etc is detrimental to real life connections, conversations and friendships Pony related: I find Fluttershy annoying I think Rainbow Dash is overrated I actually really liked Equestria Girls I also like Flash Sentry and support Flashlight I don't have a problem with R34 but I think Grimdark is disgusting (I don't think the people who create it are disgusting or anything, I just personally have a very strong dislike of it) I don't really like Spike I love Princess Celestia I really enjoyed Rainbow Falls I think that's more than enough for one post lol!

Away 2,077 May 13, 2014 Share May 13, 2014 (edited) I wish people born in the 80s or 90s would stop with this 'stuff used to be better back then, now it's shit' mentality. I hate it when I go around on YouTube or anywhere on the web and I stumble upon a comment that says, "I'm [insert age here] and I watch/listen to [insert old game/music/movie/TV show here]. Sorry for what my generation did to blah blah blah". And this is coming from someone who was born in the 90s. I agree. It's annoying when people do that. They have the Internet at their fingertips and they use it to bash today's music/shows/movies rather than using it to find some they might actually like. Also, people who constantly bitch about certain things in the fandom (clop, drama, etc.) are just as annoying as whatever it is they're complaining about. I would have to take that word, "asexual," and somehow twist the meaning away from the context by which you understand it and transform it into something else. I love everyone as people, and I love all the parts, but I keep them as separate as possible out of respect, I think. I'm not in the slightest interested in dating or marrying, but I do know that I like to spend as much time as possible around certain people that I really click with, yet I also don't want to impose myself physically on anyone unless they share a similar mindset and find me to be the exception. What would that be qualified as? I don't feel like it could be the target of the label of being pretentious or promiscuous. EDIT: I don't want to derail this topic. Then you aren't asexual. It just sounds to me like you aren't big on commitment. Being asexual means that you are %100 percent, not attracted sexually to ANYTHING. No porn. No "wow, that girl is pretty cute". No anything. Which...by very definition...contradicts the mindset we, as a species, have attained as a survival instinct after thousands of years of existing. You, generally, can't just one day decide to get rid of said mindset in the 10 seconds it took you to decide in High School. I've even seen people post in the SSP thread claiming they are Asexual. Dattebayo 2,850 May 14, 2014 Share May 14, 2014 I'm willing to bet my testicles that most fans of the Red Hood are only fans of the Red Hood because Jensen Ackles was the voice actor. Don't you think there's a coincidence that the same Tumblr fans who like Supernatural ALSO, seemingly out of nowhere, started liking Red Hood? And, if questioned, I can assure you that their Batman knowledge only extends as far as the movies reach. It disgruntled me as a Batman fanboy and pissed me off as a denizen of the internet. ^Click for my Deviant Art^ You truly are the Rosa Parks of not understanding what r34 is. baba_booey 4,302 May 14, 2014 Share May 14, 2014 (edited) I don't like Tosh.0 and Daniel Tosh is a terrible comedian. Honestly, he's not really different from one of those guys who commentates Youtube videos (*cough*RayWilliamJohnson*cough*). I think he's way too.. offensive, even for a comedian. Also, most of his jokes were already made on the same videos before he took a look at them And before people go "its becuz he mad fun of brones" I never cared for him, even BEFORE he made fun of bronies. Also, Emulators aren't half as good as the original consoles. In fact, I feel most of the CD-based emulators are laggy, glitchy and a pain-in-the-ass to setup. They may be good for playing games that cost a million bucks or testing (classic) video games, but honestly I feel like they're not half as good as playing on the original consoles. Adachi 772 May 15, 2014 Share May 15, 2014 I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this, and I used to think the opposite, but... Johnny Test is better than Dexter's Laboratory Seriously, Dexter's Laboratory was usually good, although now that I think of it, Dexter's personality just rubbed me the wrong way. Dexter only really cares about inventing, and he will even try to further his goals at the cost of others, and he is unapologetic. Johnny can be mischievous, but is usually actually a pretty good boy, and although he never really learns from his mistakes and has zero development, he is genuinely sorry for them, and always tries to do the right thing. He's just so much more human. And his sisters, although they can come across as dull, they do really care for their brother, and they're not Mary Sues (Gil is their weakness). And it's always funny when they ban him from the lab, and yet, he sneaks in anyway xD 1 “I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man’s reasoning powers are not above the monkey’s.” — Mark Twain

Seriously, if I see one more Let it Go or Do you wanna build a Snowman parody, I will flip. Pewdiepie is nothing special. When you've followed other lets players like chuggaaconroy and proton Jon, who pulled the funny reactions bit better, he's is just nothing special and I don't know how he got so popular Nickelodeon might as well change their title to YouTube TV Not everything from the 90s was good nor was everything from the 2000s bad I never was all for wanting crysilis to return. I just think there are better villains Well I liked Rarity takes manehattan, I don't find it as the amazing episode everyone says it is I don't care for a lot of YouTube celebrities. RWB 229 May 16, 2014 Share May 16, 2014 Also true. Some people do view the Bible as only a metaphor. But that raises the issue of where to draw the line. If Jim can be a "Christian" while disagreeing with a couple passages of the Bible, then maybe Sally can be a "Christian" while viewing an entire chapter as flawed, and perhaps Billy will disregard a whole book and still claim to be a "Christian", or Jane could be a "Christian" who doesn't believe anything in the Old Testament. And eventually, you could wind up with people who claim to be "Christians", who say they believe in the God of the Bible, but who don't believe anything the Bible says. Yes, some degree of interpretation is unavoidable because languages don't translate perfectly, and because society wasn't the same back then as now, and for other reasons. But there comes a point in interpretation where the original words are twisted beyond recognition to suit whoever's reading them, and at that point the Bible has become little more than a vague advice book. A person who treats the Bible like that is not a Christian, not really. You do realize the current lines of thought in the church only exists because one group of later believers killed the earlier dominant one, right? The original christians were likely the gnostics, and their beliefs were condemned as heresy. The Bible of today is written by the same people that killed these people to force their beliefs not to enter the canon. Never mind the bible is written by many people all with differing opinions on how we should act. True, simply professing a faith in the God of the Bible doesn't automatically garner the opposition of others, but simply professing a faith in the God of the Bible doesn't make a person a Christian. (I know that's not what you said, but I'm getting to a point.) To me, a Christian is someone who takes every word of Scripture seriously and literally and who truly lives according to it. And as I see it, there's no reasonable way around the fact that the Bible doesn't make any room for homosexual intercourse. So if people are claiming to be Christians but still believe that the God is alright with homosexual intercourse, they're not holding to the Bible but are compromising for the sake of convenience. But an uncompromising, genuine Christian is one who holds to the belief that homosexual intercourse is against God's commands, and as you allude to, that does tend to garner a bit of opposition. It's not always necessarily homosexuality, though. Just generally the unpopular views expressed in the Bible. Christians these days are often given a choice by society: We either have to sacrifice the integrity of our beliefs to accommodate society's changes and please the world, thereby rendering our beliefs essentially meaningless; or we get shunned for what we believe. 1. Following every word of scripture is needed to be a Christian? Then there are none, because following some of the words means not following others, as the bible contradicts itself in this regard. 2. If your beliefs make you a bigot, no integrity or religion excuses that. You are still a bigot. 1 "The meaning of life? Humans create their own meaning. They always strive onwards, upwards, to break the limits of their knowledge, the limits of their bodies capacities, and the limits of their technology. We have to take the good with the bad. We created the nuclear bomb, but we also created penicillin." Max Lundgren, Author, 1981 (Translated from Swedish)
