It doesn't seem slow to me at all. Then again, I'm naturally slow with these things. Don't worry, I have no intention of leaving this! I'll try to post something in the morning after I've gotten some sleep... :blush:

There, I've posted again and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. It's embarrassing to say but I couldn't live without my computer and I've got nothing else more important taking up most of my time so plenty of time to RP.

 

It will be interesting now to see to different stories unfolding for a while, should make things flow a lot faster as long as people post regularly. I can't comment on the speed as I haven't been in any other RP's before and have only watched one that died out pretty quickly.

Damn, it's sad to see you go. :( No one was really an important character yet, but we all had good potential. I hope whatever you decide to spend your time on now goes better for you.

Nuuuuu! I respect your decision, but I am sad to see you go. :(

 

I really was looking forward to seeing how your character developed over time. It was far too early in the game to discern which characters were “important”. (Personally, I think that every character is important because they all bring something to the table. :D)

 

As far as the speed of this RP goes... Given the volume of text being posted, I don't think that the current speed is too slow. It takes me forever to write up an RP post and my existence is fairly busy, so if this RP went too much faster, then I would be pretty overwhelmed as well. :o

The speed has improved slightly. Due to this, I won't be opening the roleplay to new people as I had planned. I'll only open it if our numbers dwindle significantly. Part of the reason I accepted so many applicants is because I knew some would die off in time. That's basically how a roleplay works: there will ALWAYS be people of the initial set (if it's a bigger one) who will become inactive and fall behind. In this, a core cast of roleplayers is established. They're the ones whose characters become naturally important over time, take the most actions, and drive the roleplay. It's still too early to tell what our core cast is, but it seems to be developing as expected so far.

Arg!!! So many posts to catch up on now! Oh well, all is good fun. I'm working on my post now. It should be up within um.... well, I'm shooting for the next hour, but depending on how long I end up making it, it could be more... I make no guarantees... ^_^

Are you planning on having your character eventually get so tired that he can't mantain the light source before everyone can find their way out of the forest? That would be a great action catalyst :D

I was originally thinking of managing to get out and then collapse of tiredness but this would be more interesting, I'll just have to rethink my future posts which won't be much trouble. I'll continue to build off what you guys post and keep an eye out for the right moment.

I edited my last post slightly to better reflect this which really I should have put in regardless now that I think about it.

 

Also, your post was quite good. Not every post needs to advance the plot otherwise the story would move too fast. I was considering waiting for you to post first because I knew what I was going to write would advance it a bit but It ended up just giving you more to work with which turned out well.

 

I'll let Ice Storm reply before I do again so she can catch up on what's happened and also give me more to work with.

Seems the Everfree group is active (and I've kind of lost track of them) and the group that stayed behind is not. >< I'm still waiting for my dang boyfriend to say his stuff. @!
