Need some critic for a WIP

Okay so I am slowly working on coloring in some of my pictures with GIMP. I have been working on doing some pictures like the one below. Just wanting to know what others think of it as I may be using this a normal style of coloring in my fan art. The unicorn on the bottom is an OC I made for the picture he is basically a monochrome colored pony (except his eys).

Well i think it looks good so far, maybe that's cause idk how to add color to my art without using colored pencils. I think your going in the right direction. Keep it up.

It all looks like it is coming together, i think the mouth on the black and white one is a bit messed up. otherwise your golden!
