She turned on her walkie talkie and linked up with Red, "Remember to cover us with your rifle and to notify us of any dangers nearby." she ordered as she exited the hospital and stepped into the outside of unknown horror that awaits them.

Octavinyl turned on the flashlight in the thick fog that covered Ponyville. "It looks safe for us to move now, so let's go!" She ordered to the following scavengers. "Watch your sides, who knows where they might pop out of." Octavinyl added, making sure to be cautious of their surroundings. "That school supply store over there." Pointing out a hoof towards the direction of the shop. "Let's grab some knapsacks and backpacks to carry as much as we can. Get a extra ones for everypony back at the hospital."

Flame awoke panting and in a cold sweat, he poured him self a glass of water and walked to the main lobby where he saw Octavinyl getting ready to go out and find food. Hey Octavinyl, Can I come and help look for supplies ? He asked, walking over.

"Alright fine, but you're doing this at your own risk. And stay close, I don't want anymore of you guys dying." Octavinyl said to Flame Dancer as she tossed him a bag. She then turned to Silver Heart, "Can you take control of the hospital while I'm gone? Or do you want to come with us as well?" she asked.

"I wouldn't mind coming along but I'd rather be where I would be most useful. If you think I have more to offer with the group then I'll come, otherwise I'll watch the hospital." Silver Heart replied.

"I think you should take control of the hospital until I get back. Besides, you know more about this hospital than I do." Octavinyl replied as she left and started to fly towards the school supply store.

As Emerald moved towards the door, aiming for the supply store, a sudden dizzyness overcame him.

"Wha-?!, hey....Urrf......"

He stumbled towards the exit, collapsing just beyond the door

'What happened? Why is this happening? Was that something like an explosion on the roof just then? I wonder if they'll bother pulling me back inside...I appear to be a deadweight right now......Can I move?.....Can't.....Drifting off...................'

He lay in a heap, slowly being surrounded by the creeps, completely unconcious.

 

(OOC: Nearly at 666th post, Can someone screenshot the 'Dead silent Ponyville 666 replies thing? I'm hoping I'll get it, but just in case...)

 

(OOC2: Sorry about fainting and waking up in weird places so much, it just fits so well with my internet state. Feel free to throw Emerald around just about anywhere while he's unconscious.)

Octavinyl dragged Emerald into the supply store. It seemed strange that he just passed out like this. After she put him into safety, she went off taking a pink and white backpack from the back section of the store. "Hurry up everypony, we have to get to the market quickly!" Octavinyl said to them as she picked a few extra backpacks for the others at the hospital.

Ruby had entered some weird kind of slumber because of lack of sleep, though it was no nice sleep. Nightmare after nightmare haunted her, and she suddenly awoke with a quiet shriek, shocking her head back in the process. Miscalculating the distance to the wall, Ruby hit the back on her head right on. "Ouch... well, that is a way of waking up I guess" Ruby quietly said to herself, holding her hoof to her head.

Emerald was caught in a trance-like state - having awoken in some form of store, he could feel and partially see, but he couldn't will his muscles into working. catching a glimpse of the almost healed cut,

'What's up with that? It's kinda odd...Like it's bleeding...But that ain't blood!....Infection maybe?...Am I becoming one of them? Why can't I move, It's hardly fair letting everyone pull me around, especially in that they're injured and tired too....What to do..?....'

He tried to speak, his jaw muscles disobeyed him though,

"Oct..a...l....Muh, cu.....Urrf....."

He tried to move his affected leg, ending up in it twitching slightly, causing a far amount of pain to him.

Octavinyl's ears had perked up when she heard some noise coming from Emerald. She flew over to him and sat in front of him, "Hey is something wrong? You don't really look so good." she asked him, concerned about all the ponies around her.

Hypno had stayed back at the hospital, knowing there wasn't too much he could help with. He decided to guard the hospital, staying up on the roof and keeping lookout for any zomponies.

Emerald could see Octavinyl mouthing something..No sound...He tried to motion to his leg but failed to do more than a small shiver.

He tried speaking again,

"Uh, my...My, le-...Infe-...."

He managed to stutter. The pain in his leg grew worse, now he could feel the infection, spreading, attacking his very blood...Wearing down his defences....

'well,'

He thought,

'what am I gonna do? I refuse to become on of...Them...I would never attack these guys...A few have survived it I suppose...Does that give me a chance?....Oh! That felt odd.....Hmm...Again?....Drifting off......'

He blacked out again, bathed in a slight fever sweat and an ever-growing puddle of dark ooze coming from his wound...

Octavinyl saw the strange black liquid on his leg, "W-What the!? Have you been bitten? Please tell me!" she said to him as she tried to keep him awake, but he passed out. The wound on his leg didn't look so well, but she tried to patch it up with a few bandages in her bag.

Air headed inside, leaving Earth to deal with the zombies. The ruckus had drawn an agreement between them that one of them should check what's going on. Looking at the oozing black liquid coming from the unconscious pony's leg, he calmed himself down as much as he could and asked, "What happened this time?"

Fading in and out of conciousness, Emerald struggled against the poison, infecting his blood and his thoughts.

'Wake up! Come on, why can't I wake up?...'

He tried to reply to the questioning ponies,

"I....I....The....Infec'd.....cut....Uh..."

Then he blacked out again, this time, seeming to fall calmly asleep, rather than his frenzied fitting earlier.

'maybe It'll pass......I hope.....Seems to have calmed a bit.......'

Octavinyl covered his leg in bandages, hoping that it'll stop the strabge bleeding. 'Is he turning!? This can't be good at all!' She thought to herself as she just stared at Emerald. If he turned into a zombie, then things would get much worse.

Morning star was thinking of escaping but how will he make it out with a testsubject.

They had to hurry up and get to the market, time was surely ticking and it was getting darker. Octaviinyl tried to carry Emerald, but he had the weight of a stallion which she couldn't hold. "Can somepony help me carry Emerald out of here? We have to get to the market for supplies!"

 

Octavinyl looked around and the area seemed clear of any zombies. "I'll go scout ahead to the market place, but if any zombies come by just go back to the hospital. I'll contact you guys by radio if the area is clear or if something comes up." With that she said to them as she left the store and headed out into the fog. Things just seemed too foggy at the moment, but nothing her flashlight can't counter. She then turned on her flashlight and flew straight towards the marketplace of Ponyville. There were a few zombies here and there, but afterwards she finally made it to the area. Octavinyl flew around and checked for any dangers that may harm the group. All seemed pretty clear, except for the fog as she kept flying through the shops and stores that were on her sides.

Vinyl Blade marched out of the Everfree forest in full body armor. She was one of the last of her unit, however the others branched off to try to survive on their own. A whole battalion... reduced to just a couple ponies. The thought of it just blew her mind. She had her pulse rifle drawn and at the ready.

 

She kept walking until she got to a market place and saw several other ponies there. She aimed her rifle at them and asked, "Friend or foe?"

Starbolt saw Vinyl Blade and readied her magic. "Friend, unless you attack....." She replied with a cautious tone in her voice.
