many of the show's characters were a mix of different things, like food, objects and animals. Or else just fictional animal-looking characters 

although I admit panini and gorgonzola were a rabbit and rat, respectively.

I laugh at kid shows rather easily still xD Espesally the stuff i saw on baby tv today. Blobs rubbing bottles o.o;;; LOL and....animals sounding like they're in heat xD
