I do have to say I'm honored to have placed second in the voting polls. I honestly have to say that I wasn't really expecting people to like mine at all, considering it was my first serious attempt at writing :3

 

All in all I had fun! I will no doubt compete in future contests, and hey: I may just win one some day

Seriously though, compared to this 500 word entry (which had a rushed ending that bugs me), my 1,400 word flushed out version I made of the story for FIMFiction is a lot better ^^; Here's the link to it, if any of ya'll who liked my story are interested. Still, I'm very honored that, holy crap, thirteen people liked mine enough to vote for it. We got a crap-ton of competition, something that was very awesome to see on a forum contest that wasn't even hosted officially by the staff. On past forums I've been on, something like that would never happen xD Even staff-hosted events rarely got more than a few people...

 

Anywho, yeah, it was really fun, and every story I read was really good. Lots of talent. I'm curious to see where you now want to take this now, @@Ashbad. You seemed to agree with the multimedia idea, in that the contest morphs in media type as well as requirements each time, so that artists, as well as video and music makers can get in on this action as well as writers. The contest would focus on one or two of those categories each contest, most likely, which would give the other category participants a break till the next contest, which is nice too.

A terrific idea it was Everything went smoothly and efficiently apart from the fact Ashbad never posted an official ending announcement post in this thread.

 

Turning this idea into a multi-media contest that changes from story to art to poetry to etc etc etc was the top idea before this ended. I'd like to see that happen.

I remembered that there was this thread of a bunch of tiers for a contest of MLP forums bonding together, I believe...? It wasn't long before MLP forums' first birthday. I wonder why it got inactive...
