In my opinion I think Norwegian black metal is the most controversial genre of music. Sure gangsta rap was violent and anti-woman but, black metal started church burnings, murder and suicide. Dead (singer from Mayhem) shot himself in the head, then Varg Vikernes killed Euronymous. Varg was sentenced to 21 years in prison. So what do you guys think? What do you think is the most controversial genre of music?

Agreed. Black Metal and Death metal are the most controversial in my opinion. Even when the bands don't do extreme things like church burnings, just the lyrics and imagery used by the bands are enough to scare most people :P

It's too bad, cause there are some really talented Black Metal and Death Metal bands out there. But people get freaked out and don't give them a chance

yeah Death Metal was pretty controversial same with black metal for there lyric's and devil worshiping yet people ignore the barney theme being played backwards.

also black metal fan get it worse then any one Goth have been assulted for being who they are Sophie Lancaster being the most known because Stomp Out Prejudiced Hate In England was formed after.

other then that i would say it the biggest horror that if we do not stop will ruin all the music we know.....

Dubstep this think is killing music techno mainly but i saw dubstep remixes of metal song that just make want to murder the person who made it i literally would prefer Justin Beiber over dubstep

Black metal and Death metal. Have you ever seen Cannibal Corpse album artwork? (protip: Never look at it.)

Black metal in what... Norway, I believe, is very problematic for the church. Their morale is that the Church is claiming their land, which was originally based on Norse gods. It's a big reclaiming thing.

Anyway, there's more to that Mayhem story. Not only did he kill himself, but the band members made necklaces out of his skull fragments :P

Yea, I have The Bleeding and Euronymous did make a stew out of bits of Dead's brain and a necklace out of his skull. Pretty scary.
