How abundant are the song portions in the show? Because just the other day as I was watching MLP on YouTube (I'm too ashamed of watching it on TV, but that feeling may go away soon) it seemed like pinkie pie was about to start a song so I skipped about 20 seconds of the episode. I ask because I don't like song portions in tv shows, now unless this show has such good song portions that I MUST watch, I'm going to naturally skip this.

After a little while of watching the show I found that I absolutely loved the songs, so I guess it really does 'grow on you'.

 

My favorites are Smile Smile Smile, This Day Aria, and of course Winter Wrap Up because you cannot get that song out of your dern head.

They're more frequent in season 2 than in season 1. In season 1 there's like one song every other episode. However, in season 2 the song quality and length really starts improving (songs such as Flim Flam Brothers, This Day Aria, and The Smile Song); so it's worth giving them a try. Also, in season 3, there will be an even greater number of songs.

Theres some songs that arent that good but only last like 10 seconds, all sung by pinkie (if im correct) , and dont make much sence. Just ignore them if you wish. Songs like Smile Smile Smile, This day aria, and Winter wrap up are longer and harder to avoid, but thoose are usualy better to Very good level. I like most of the songs, but the ones sung by pinkie pie can annoy me sometimes.
