- Walks in air

- Gets 8 hooves

- Predicts future

- Runs faster than Rainbow Dash flies

- Gets crazy

- Flies away like a rocket and explodes

- Confetti Sneeze

- Gets a party cannon from nowhere

Why not make her know everything?

Haha nah but she has probably met them before. Maybe at her old home?

Well, we actually don't know much about Pinkie's past don't you think? For all we know, the rock farm that she used to be in maybe had been swarmed by parasprites once. Or, it could been posted that her old home was attacked by parasprites and she determined herself to learn how to stop them in case they came to Ponyville. Plus, we don't know exactly WHEN did she come to Ponyville now do we? I don't think it was inmediately after Rainbow Dash's first Sonic Rainboom.

There really is no explanation for this. For starters, yes, it's Pinkie Pie. We cannot ever think that logic still plays a role in any kind of situation when she's involved.

Also, the entire episode was directed towards the moral/lesson of listening to what everyone has to say, no matter how weird they are or whatever. It was also to show that sometimes, people can have something to offer, whenever they usually do not. Most ponies wouldn't dare let Pinkie's ideas ever go through with a serious situation, but that was the point of the episode. People/ponies can sometimes have some unexpected surprises about them.

But really, it was the writers' ... "laziness" I dare say, though it's not so much "laziness" as it is coincidentally easy to pull off. Pinkie is weird. She breaks all rules. No explanation needed as to how she knew about them. The writers knew that, and used it. That is all, really.

Pinkie's personality helped with the moral, and also avoided needed explanation. That's it, really.

I don't know... maybe she read about them(and Twilight hadn't for some reason)?

Maybe she encountered them before?

Maybe she saw that one episode of Spongebob?

Who knows, but hey, at least somepony knew how to get rid of them.

The thing that sorts of annoys me is how Celestia doesn't know what a Parasprite is.

But yeah, its Pinkie Pie. She knows everything, even more then Celestia!

Actually, that would explain why there were hardly any crops or trees where she lived.

He old home pretty much only had sand and rock. Maybe a few dried out trees.

Isn't it obvious. SHE CREATED THEM!!!

LATE ONE NIGHT, IN THE BASEMENT OF SUGARCUBE CORNER, PINKIE WAS CHANNELING THE COSMIC FORCES OF THE FOURTH WALL IN A WAY NO MARE WAS MEANT TO. RISING FROM THE DEPTHS OF OF HER MIND, THEY BECAME FLESH. THEY BEGAN THEIR RAMPAGE, SO PINKIE USED THE LAST OF THE FADING CONNECTION TO HER MIND TO GIVE THEM ONE WEAKNESS.

Or, you know, plot convenience.

Most likely Parasprites are rare in Equestria and haven't been documented a lot. Remember they don't have a lot of information on dragons, either. Pinkie probably just happened to come across them at some point and is one of the few that knows the danger they pose and how to get rid of them.

I think, and purely out of speculation, that I have created a more or less reasonable explanation. If you notice the Parasprite Polka, the song used to lure the parasprites away, is exactly the same as the song playing at Pinkie's first party, back on the rock farm. My guess is that sometime during or after the party, the song lured parasprites to the farm, thus showing Pinkie their weakness to it. Huzzah!

To be concerned about being 'grown up', to admire the 'grown up' because it is 'grown up', to blush at the suspicion of being childish; These are the marks of childhood and adolescence. Oh, no, please. That's too much. Seriously, you're embarrassing me! I didn't say stop. Keep going.

But now in all seriousness, I'd say that mine is a totally reasonable explanation, and also total bs. Were the writers to explain how she knew, I'm fairly certain that is not how they'd do it, but, seeing as they are unlikely to do such a thing, this is about as fine an explanation as we are likely to get.

Now talk more about how great I am, if you don't mind.

Oh no, since you're so modest, I will stop really, I won't mind in the slightest. I will, however, agree on your idea. The writers WON'T say anything about it. Because they'll keep it that way. Kind of like the game Shadow of the Colossus. The less you know, the more you wonder, the more your imagination runs wild...until your mind just want to say "Okay...I'm tired...everyone take 5!" or something like that, and so you go "Meh, she's Pinkie Pie, screw logic" .

I had thought of the whole faced-them-on-the-rock-farm thing, as it seems many bronies did, but I never noticed it was the same music! Good theory :)

Pinkie Pie defies gravity and you're wondering about this? Theres probably some backstory to it but it's not plot-hole material. Id say just go with it haha.
