- After a few misunderstandings in the RP, some of the characters are now starting to pay and leave the restaurant. About that... Any idea how much is a stack of four~five waffles worth in bits? Because Amber only has like 10 bits with her.

Well, currently, most of the characters are still in the restaurant, and the train itself (I don't know if you knew this already) was broken down and is currently being repaired.

 

Probably after a few posts, we'll be heading back, so you're probably a bit ahead, maybe a little too far... (It'll be a while, though.)

[OOC] How's about this instead: We all inadvertently board the wrong train, and instead of going to Appaloosa (which I had originally planned), we instead head off to Manehattan.

I propose an scenario for this event. With all the hurry that someponies have at the moment, when the group reaches the train station, they see the same train but in better condition, what they didn't know is that that train was headed to Manehattan, while the train that they are supposed to take is still under maintenance.

I propose another thing, somehow, one group take the wrong train, and the other stays in Canterlot and take the right train, then somehow in their journey, meet each other again, but I don't know how that would work.

Even though it does sounds like a nice idea, I personally think that would be kind of an exaggeratedly huge split-up... :|

 

I agree with the first idea though, about the group picking the wrong train in a hurry. We just gotta make sure that it's the same train as Leaf Orange, since he's already waiting inside it.

I had a similar idea. However, we'd need to separate the entire group into two distinct groups.

 

I have a way that can work: Leaf, as far as I can tell, has taken a head-start onto one of the trains, but as far as I can tell, it's undetermined whether he's on the train to Manehattan or Appaloosa. Chances are, he's on the Manehattan train.

 

He could call out to the younger group (Ganaram, Electrobolt, Amber, Jade) to board the train, unbeknownst to all five that it's the wrong one. Or they just coincidently board the same train. Or the "quartet" board the wrong train while Leaf, in actuality, took the right one.

 

The rest will board the right train, but such a divergence means that we'd effectively subdivide the RP into two RPs. There had better be a payphone at both stops.

 

Then we have Rook. He'll meet up with the others either in the restaurant or while the others head out of the restaurant.

So now we have several ways it can go. Which one?

 

- The group as a whole meet up with Rook en route to the train, and they all inadvertently board the wrong train. Leaf will also be on the wrong train.

I suppot Ganaram's idea... here's my scenario:

 

Since the original train that is destined to Appaloosa (apparently) is still under repair, with the conmotion of this evil salesmare and the royal guards, the characters rushed to the wrong train, in which Leaf was waiting, because the repair ponies moved the right train to the back of the station.

the fun part is that I would like to divide the ponies in unconventional or unpredictable groups, I mean, putting together ponies that haven't interacted or doesn't like each other very well, giving the opportunity to get to know each other.

My guess:

Train to Manehattan (wrong train)

• Leaf (waiting in the wrong train)
• Draco
• Amber (for the sake of the story, she must go to manehattan by mistake x))
• Ganaram

Train to Appalooza (right train)

• Electrobolt
• Sandweaver

Jade and Beat, still have pendant issues with the law, so I can't even say if they will be able to catch any of the trains XD ...but at the same time, they can be in their own group, because they haven't interacted with each other in the past.

 

I'd put Rook waiting in the Appalooza station. so he can follow along.

 

the good thing about this mechanic is that we are going to try something new, something dinamic, lots of adventure because of the ponies who took the wrong train, it would be harder because they don't have their belongings with them, so they would have to find the way to get back to the right train.

Also, the ponies who abord the good train, will notice the absence of the other ponies, so they also will try to find a way to establish communications.

haha shit just got serious in the RP, we are in a point in where we have secondary character with lines and interactions with our OC's, like the evil salesmare and the royal guards, so if you guys don't have any problem I would like to take control of them all in my later posts. Well, whichever scenario gets whichever ponies in the most awkward groups, I still had it in my intentions to have Rook "bump in" with the others while they're still in Canterlot. Perhaps, for example, Ganaram bumps into him, and shoves him onto the train (albeit, the wrong one). This is to get our ninth participant into the RP as quick (and soon) as possible.

This is what I'm seeing so far: Everyone has finished their meal, and they're about to leave. Then things are about to go ugly for at least two of the ponies. Whether Jade becomes the third is yet to be determined.

 

Ganaram (and at least Electrobolt and/or Amber) would be the ones who "rush out" of the restaurant, trying to avoid as much conflict as possible.

 

If there's to be a third group that originates out of all this, then there would need to be some way for everyone to regroup. Let's make a few stipulations:

 

- The train to Appaloosa would take more than 24 hours of straight travel. Unless something else happens to the train that stalls the entire trip, those riding the train will be the first to Appaloosa.

- The train to Manehattan would be the last train until the next day. By the time those passengers board the right train the next morning, they'll be half a day behind.

- The ones caught by the fuzz will likely have the most delay of all.

 

I think it's best to discuss how we manage what would effectively be a subdivided RP: Up to three different scenarios happening at once. We're gonna need to call in everyone here...

But I'll play along with anything as long as it doesn't get way too confusing. I believe we have a pretty decent amount of things to discuss here with every single player before we can continue with the RP, so I call for a pause.

I don't like the idea of us splitting up. If we all stay together, that will still allow Motion's idea of the different groups happening without forcing us into certain group dynamics for days until we all board the same train again. It'll be more fluid that way.

 

I do like the idea of us all boarding the wrong train, though. Perhaps we all link up with our luggage again somewhere further down the road tracks.

Well, some ponies (like Electro : http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png ) left some of their personal items on the train, and if they boarded the wrong train... Said items would be lost

As stated above, some of the participants left their luggage on the train, thinking they wouldn't be off the train for long, so that if they board the wrong train, they're screwed.

 

Plus, it's been suggested that we have at least one other pony be on the right train (I've yet to determine if Leaf is on the right train) so that said luggage won't be completely lost.
