Gem overhears Jade's phone call and decides to butt in. Then, Rook will explain what his journal was for and requests the help of the others, both in the apartment and on the Appaloosa train. They may be using telepathy, but at the same time, I don't think it would be interesting to have only the two unicorns to hear and talk to each other. Well, I initially thought that the call was directly transmitted into the unicorn's head, but I guess that doesn't mean that they could switch on a "speakerphone" mode whenever they want...
