Greylight blushed.

"I'm sorry, I needed to do that as one of the first things... I'll let you sleep in my quarters... I can have a guard roll in a bed... Or... There is a queen sized bed in there..."

She was really red now. She knew everypony was out of ear shot, but she still blushed hard.

 

"As much as I'd like to do that..." he got out of the chair and put his hooves around Greylight's body "And I mean really like to do that... I think some ponies might get suspicious if the Commander's assistant was sleeping with her..." he caught a glimpse of the sunset through one of the large windows in the room "But I think it'll be fine for tonight" his face was now just an inch from hers.

He was soon completely out-numbered, though, and on his back. He tried getting back up.

 

Greylight looked around, then made a motion to Martin.

"Hey... Vinyl's gone. Presumably, you heard it all. And I have a really bad feeling about this..."

 

The mob held down his hooves while a wiry earth pony held cuffs nearly identical to Sapphire's, but newer. (They do the same thing) He snapped them on one hoof, and the ponies on that side got off. He snapped on the other hoof, and Fire's magic disconnected from him, "You're coming with us."

He struggled a bit, but found it impossible to win in the end. He was snorting and steam rose from his nostrils at every exhale. He glared around at his captors.

"And if I decide I'm going to stay right here..?"

"You can try, but I don't think that's going to be an option for you," the pony said, dusting off his uniform. "This one goes to the dungeon; maybe that pitiful place will make him more grateful for more pleasent things." The mob lifted the poy up on their shoulders and paraded him through the streets, going towards the dungeon.

Okay, so the leader of the Unicorns is in love with me. How did this happen in the first place? Cherry Blossom thought as she started walking back and forth in her bedroom. Maybe I should just go back to the Congressional Hall. she said in her mind as she hesitated to open the front door, but after a few seconds. She was blushing as his hooves were around her. When his face was close, she kissed him softly, yet passionately.

 

He kissed back "Nopony" he said in between breaths "I'm just trying be cautious is all... aww the buck with it..." he pulled her in closer, feeling her soft fur against his and her breaths becoming in sync with his. Just then the door opened and Cherry entered. Martin jumped back about six feet and quickly said "We weren't doing anything!" He nervously looked at Greylight "We were just umm... planning. Yes planning!" he rushed over back to her desk and furiously began to pretend to work on is drawing, facing away from Cherry to hide his extreme blushing. Edited October 27, 2012 by Krystal

An imaginary question mark appeared over Cherry Blossom's head as she started to wonder what Martin and Greylight were really doing. "O-Okay, but you wouldn't mind if I saw this 'plan' of yours would you?" she asked as she flew in closer to the two officials.

Greylight almost felt like shoving Cherry out, but she decided she would only do that if she refused to leave on her own.

"Y-Yes Commander Hurricane," she replied as she walked out of the room and into the hallway. You shouldn't have been so emotional back there. I should've just stayed and took the notes, but I just went ahead and ran out the door, just because they mentioned 'war'. Am I really that weak? she thought.

Star Rain woke up in a daze. Her head was hurting badly and her hoof was sprained. She didn't let any of it get to her for once, as she was determined to return to the castle to deliver the news about Sapphire and the hoarded food. Star Rain then limped back to the castle, dizzy,hurt,and tired.

Once Cherry was out the door, Martin fell to the floor and exhaled. He put his hooves to his face and said "You're gonna have guards outside your room to make sure that doesn't happen again right? Because I'd hate for that to happen while were, umm..." blushing, he looked up at Greylight and gave a sheepish smile.

Inside the bedroom, a slight sliver of daybreak could be seen through a crack in the closed curtains. Martin and Greylight lay in bed, holding each other, their fur and manes were a little ruffled.

Star Rain limped into the castle. "Hello? Is anypony here?", she said rather meekly. She didn't notice anypony else inside. "I have news to deliver and I need medical help!" she shouted, forcibly. She let her saddle bags fall down and collapsed, still conscious.

As Surge and the other two sat and waited outside Fatigue saw a pony he remembered seeing in the woods when the the guards were killed. In a calm voice he talks to one of the guards. Sir that unicorn that just walked in the palace. Can you get her for me please.

Greylight awoke first. She left her eyes closed, and smiled as she remembered she was holding Martin and last night. She moved a bit, nuzzling Martin, but trying not to wake him.

 

Shelby sat at her house, hoping Velnir was ok.

 

Fire Blade awoke in a prison cell.

Cherry Blossom kept walking down the hallway, but she would might as well talk to Vinyl Blade while she was here. She asked a guard where she was and she started hovering towards the room. After arriving in front of the door, she heard a bit of movement and opened the door.

Guards were flying around moving furniture that wasn't even there in the first place.

Windscar woke up the next morning in Surge's bed. He still was not back yet. She hopped he was ok and be back today. She puts on her coat to hide her wings and walked in to the main room. Oh Surge....i hope your ok. You are in a unicorn land. And they dont really like you guys. As she gets to the room with the cells she sees two unicorns locked up. Well...it looks like they caught the kills. I wounder if hes back. Yea you two who brought you here? Did a big green pony with stripes bring you in.

Vinyl turned around from supervising the guards. "Ah, Cherry. Just the mare I was hoping to see." She turned back to the guards. "Everypony out." They flew out and she turned back. "So... I take it you got my letter? I guess you now know how I feel about you." She sat on the bed and welcomed Cherry over

Cherry Blossom walked closer and gave her a confused look. "A-Aren't you worried about what might happen?" she asked as she pulled over a chair and sat down. "I-I would also like to ask why you even like me. If that's o-okay with you." she gave a little smile and just stared at the floor.

Letrix teleported back to the castle and found Star Rain on the floor badly injured. He called over a medic and waited to see if she was going to be all right. As he waited he informed some of the high ranking guards what had happened on the mission and told them to tell Vinyl Blade about it as soon as she came back.

Star Rain simply sat up and was shaking little bit. "Th-thanks Letrix", she said. "I got some bruises from tripping on a bunch of rocks and I banged my head pretty hard on a low branch. But I have some b-bad news. S-Saphire...Sapphire was...", she took a deep breath. "Sapphire was captured, and I don't know what happened to Fire Blade."

He grumbled something under his breath, barely audible and something about a lack of communication. He didn't try magic because he knew that if he did, he would injure himself. Something about the hoofcuffs.

Sapphire woke up to a horrible headache. Last she remembered she was attempting to knock some of the guards out then a sharp pain at the back of her head. "Uhh.." She mumbled as she stood up from her cell, she saw a pony in a hood talking to Fire. 'Damn, he still got captured.' She thought to herself.

Greylight awoke first. She left her eyes closed, and smiled as she remembered she was holding Martin and last night. She moved a bit, nuzzling Martin, but trying not to wake him.

Pleasantly, Martin woke up to a beautiful mare to his side, enveloping each other in their arms. Without opening his eyes, he softly kissed her on the forehead and said "Did you sleep well?" he moved a bit to rest his head on top of hers.
