"No! Sapphire, I will not let you get caught up in this! I did this on my own! You will not be punished for my actions!"

For the first time, he sounded a bit worried. He didn't want his commander to be hurt for what he did.

 

Sapphire turned to Fire. "No, it was my decision to bring you, therefore your actions are my responsibility." Sapphire replied to Fire, adamant in her decision.

 

Algid met up with the unicorns he had assigned previously. He saw them ready. "Wait for further instructions." He told them as he wrote another letter. He handed the letter to a unicorn and it was sent to Vinyl.

 

The letter arrived in front of Vinyl, it had the same envelope as the last letter and same words written. If Vinyl were to open it. It would say,

 

 

Empress Vinyl Blade,

I have a team ready to infiltrate earth pony territory to recover Commander Sapphire. Should we commence the operation?

Velnir sighed, "Miss Sapphire, what your trying to do is commendable, but pointless. We have overwhelming evidence that he was not acting under orders, and while you brought him here, he made the concious decision to kill. If you bring him back to the unicorns, what will happen? Court martial? Dishonorable discharge? Death? If your system is anything like what Fatigue likes, very probably death. At least this way you get out. But if you like being disconnected from your magic and in a cell, I guess I can keep you here instead of sending you over the border in good faith, and let you explain to whatever pony comes to liberate you."

Listening to the two unicorns go back a forth......BOTH OF YOU BE QUIT!! Now i am not here to punish you....yet that is. For the fact that you just happened to fall into my hooves is what i wanted. I was just at your kingdom wanting to work things out. But.....Looking at FB....Since your here i have no need to talk with your leader. Walks over to Sapphires cell..... And its good to see you again commander. Its been awhile. I just wish you were here on better terms. Also the harvest this year was a bit short. But we have your food stored away in the village and it quite large. We knew that things were a it scarce this time but thats why we took care of yours and the pegasus food first. Do to your poor farming skills in the winter. But all your food is right here waiting for you. But you never sent our weapons and doctors. So thats why you never got your food. But now....things are going to be harder to do. Walks back over to FB cell. And FB is right. Unless you gave the order i can not hold you. But i can hold you for spying on my kingdom. But.....I am willing to let you go Sapphire, under one condition.

 

Fatigue was in the town armory sharpening all the blades to a fine point. I cant wait to mount one of their heads on my wall

"What condition? If it has to do with her staying any longer or her being hurt, than no, I will not support that. Just let her go now! She doesn't deserve to be here!"

Fire Blade was at the edge of his cell. If he could break Sapphire out, he would. He hoped the others wouldn't think it was love, because in truth, it wasn't; he just cared for the safety of his commander.

"Shelby," he said with a note of warning. He didn't want her to attract to much attention here; it could be dangerous. He didn't trust Surge right now, he was too influenced by Fatigue. "I think handing her back to the Unicorns is our best bet at peace, especially if she is unharmed."

 

"It is," Shelby replied. She questioned why Velnir was talking to her, but she agreed. "If we keep Fire Blade, though..." She was worried. Although he did kill the guards with little to no instigation (or so the story was), he was a Unicorn, and there could be some riot about that.

 

"Don't worry about me," Fire Blade responded, almost making Shelby nervous as he was replying to her. "They shouldn't worry too much about me."

Ill let her go if and only if she does this for me. One get me an audience with you leader. Two, stop this lie of us hoarding food. We have your food set to the side. Just bring us what you owe us and the food is yours. Three, i dont want us to be a broken union any more. We are both of the earth and should act like it. I want a trues between our kingdoms. I am done fighting with our sister breed. And lastly tell your leader this....this is my A.R.K(act of random kindness) to them. They will know what it means. Every leader does. So Sapphire....Can i trust you to do this?

Fatigue walks in with a sharpened battle ax. So Surge...Witch one of their heads is going to roll first?

Velnir turned and hissed, pulling his knife out an inch. The change in his mood was dramatic, from diplomatic and reasonable to loathing, mistrust, and a hint of fear, "How's your face, blunderbuss?" he asked with mock-kindness, his grip tight on the knife.

Sapphire turned to Surge and nodded. "I agree to these terms. I will request for Empress Vinyl Blade to meet with you as soon as I am able." She replied to him. As Fatigue walked in the room Sapphire noticed his axe, his stance, a power stance relying on the brute force of the weapon to attack, yet still having technique and the ability to dodge and parry. Velnir, unbeknownst to him also took up a stance, his being more agile and fluid. "Are you two going to fight each other? Because it sure looks like it." She remarked.

Oh Velinr...if there is one thing i can do its adapt to pain. I live off it. Its what keeps me going. So this lil rash here is nothing now. Looking at his knife. Ha.....really V? You think that little tooth pick will hurt me? Pointing his ax at him. I have you beat in size, distance, and power. Your dead where your standing. Looking at the two unicorns. Oh yea these two were in the woods. But...there was one more. Wheres the noob who had the spell book?

Sapphire slightly chuckled at Fatigue's statement. "You may have him beat at distance and power, but he has speed and evasiveness with his lighter weapon. It is a fool's decision to underestimate that. As for the other one, she has probably escaped back into unicorn territory by now." Sapphire told Fatigue.

"My border scouts, the ones I bother to train, if you remember, saw a unicorn pass the border. She was in their territory before they could get there. And in order for any of those things to work, Fatigue, you'd have to hit me. Axes are slow, and this knife is sharp enough to cut you up." (His knife is like an elongated Bowwie, fyi)

She giggled, blushing, and dried herself off a bit more.

"Well, that, and make the other preparations for your plan. If you need to add anything, I can leave you alone and go assemble the troops... If not, then... then I'll need your help getting everything right."

She hung her towel up and started moving towards the door.

 

"Nope, my design is all set. All we have to do is put it into action..." he gave her a sly grin as he held the door open for her. They left the room and started walking out of the Congressional Hall. A few moment's after leaving the building, Martin asked "So let's take a look at this grand military of yours. I've heard great stories about it from all over the world..."

"Well, considering the dilemma with the food, we haven't been able to train too much, but that hasn't stopped our determination. We are still going strong. And all I have to do is get somepony to go out and yell that I want the army assembled right now."

Greylight and Martin had reached the Congressional Hall in no time.

Greylight looked at Martin and smiled. Then, her face changed from love and joy to shock and horror.

"Martin, please tell me you brought your hood. If Vinyl hears of this assembly, she'll come running up."

"Oh yeah, thanks" Martin may have forgot his hood but he didn't forget his saddle. He always kept his saddle with him, it was second nature, and it just so happened that he had his robes in it. After he put the robe on and thew up his hood, he looked forward and beheld as the Pegasi Legion quickly lined up in rows right in front of their eyes. "How the hay do you possibly strike such devotion in your empire?" he said, mouth agape.

"O-Oh well the spas are actually very relaxing. And the fact that they use a lot of water is no problem, but you could even stay there all day if you wanted to. They have private hotel rooms and such." Cherry Blossom smiled and proceeded to flying down the cloudy side walk.

 

The letter arrived in front of Vinyl, it had the same envelope as the last letter and same words written.

"If Vinyl hears of this assembly, she'll come running up."

 

"It must be really nice. I can't wait to get there." As she was walking toward the spa, a letter appeared before her. She sighed and pulled Cherry into the nearest shop. She asked if there was a bathroom and the storekeeper directed her to the back. "Wait here. I'll be right back."

 

She wrote a response letter and sent it back.

 

 

Negative. Sent the unit and a large portion of the military to the pegasus kingdom. They are ordered not to attack under any circumstances.

They walked back out of the shop and continued on toward the spa. Vinyl noticed what seemed like the entire pegasus army swarming toward the Congressional Hall. "Looks like we might have to postpone this spa day. Or maybe not... Lets just keep going."

Cherry Blossom nodded and continued walking to the spa with Vinyl Blade. After what seemed like afew minutes, the spa was just right around the corner. "S-So have you ever been to a spa before? I mean you have gone to something like a spa right?" she asked.

Fatigue looked to Sapphire with a smirk....He may have a so called lighter weapon. But one thing you fail to see is how light this ax is to me. Not only does it complement my size, but it is much lighter than your normal ax. The metal in it is so light i can wave it around like a knife. But then the metal is so strong i can cut trees down it one swing. So the term "lighter" is all in the wielder. And now that i think of it she was at the UPK. She was being taken to the med ward or some crap. But anyway.......

Must i remind you....Turning the face of the ax to Velinr. But Surge had had enough of both of them and their fighting. How bout both of you put your weapons away before i take you both out. Now.....Sapphire im letting you go as of now*opens her cell but does not un-cuff her.* Me and Windscar will take you to the boarder and let you go from there. And i will bring a quarter of your rations as a sign of good will. After that the rest is up to you. Why are you bringing me into this? Because i missed you. And besides im leaving Velinr in charge while im gone. And Fire Blade......Looking in his cell seeming to be standing over him. Ill deal with you when i get back. Fatigue you are not to touch FB at all. For no reason what so ever. Agggg....Fine. Putting his ax on his back.

Velnir slid his knife back in carefully, tossing, "It really doesn't matter, all I have to do is cut you. I always poison my blades," he then looks Fatigue up in down, "Of course, nuerotoxins may not work on your hemitoma and possibly lacking grey matter. You seem to have managed a way to stop using most of it's functions, which is impressive. Perhaps I should change it to something more violent." He had purposely used big medical terms that the Unicorns may have been able to understand, but he knew for sure Fatigue wouldn't.

 

(Hemitoma: Brusing of the brain. Nuerotoxin: Poison that targets the brain, slowly shutting it down. Grey matter; Brain reference. Explination of my rather lacking vocabulary xP I actually know someone who didn't know what grey matter meant. It was funny.)

"Easy. Just yell some motivational phrases," she joked. She smiled at him, then noticed Vinyl walking on. Her heart stopped until she noticed that Vinyl had gone by and not stopped. "We may have nearly been in trouble, Martin," she whispered to him.

"Well... Eh, not quite. I've had my hooves done, I've had massages, I've had... Countless things, but I've never been to a spa. It usually happened inside the castle, if not, then at a marefriend's house. I really need to get out more." She walked a little bit closer to Cherry and rested her head on her (Cherry) shoulder as they rounded the corner.

They made it to the spa and Cherry Blossom walked inside. She pulled out a few bits and handed them over to a mare behind a counter. "W-Well then, you're really going to enjoy it here," she said as 2 mares came and gave some bath robes with a towel for the head.

"You sure? The Earth Ponies already know what I look like. I'd be more vulnerable than hidden. But,you can teach me your invisibility spell. Then they won't see me at all. They'll just think that I'm not doing anymore missions in their territory when really I'm there, just not able to be seen!" said Star Rain.

 

"Well I guess I could teach you my invisibility spell but it will take a lot of effort for me to teach you it and if you don't master it and put to much magic into the spell you'll become unconscious which could make you a great burden on missions. So you sure you want to learn this spell?" Letrix asked curiously.

Vinyl put the robe on, draped the towel over her hoof, and smiled shyly at the mares. She followed Cherry and the two spa ponies. This was the first time she felt shy like this. She didn't know why she felt like this and she really know how to react to it.

"W-Why don't we go and get some back massages first, or wherever you like getting massaged?" she asked as the spa ponies opened a door, revealing two massage tables. "My back isn't really feeling too well at all and I was dying to get a back massage." Cherry Blossom laid her chest onto the table and smiled in relaxation.
