Also! Because today's new items contain some Meet the Pyro spoilers, we're gonna hold off on announcing those until the update’s ready later today.

 

But! We are announcing something else RIGHT NOW: The beta release of the Source Filmmaker, the tool we use internally to make all of our "Meet the Team" shorts. You can check it out here.

 

 

 

So there are more items being announced today, but that doesn't mean they're being added today.

I don't play TF2 a lot but the videos are funny. One question though: Wasn't the Pyro shown as a female in a video before?

 

Video before? Which one are you talking about? The pyro's gender has always been a mystery. Although now there is controversy because in Meet the Pyro, the Scout said this (according to subtitles) "He can't hear me, can she?" I'm assuming the gender of the pyro will be and stay a mystery to everyone...

Well, considering the Pyro's mind, i would say shes female. At the start it even says "In a young Girls heart, how music can free her whenever is starts.

So, based on the speech commands, the Pyro can obviously tell what is really going on. As such, I propose that the "Candy-Land Fantasy" is Pyro's way of "getting in the zone" or "activating bad-ass mode."

Fair point, but he's slaughtering everyone on the outside. Another contradiction. Maybe the pyro is a robot being tricked into causing harm when in his mind is peace? Idk but on his mask it says "optical mask" instead of "oxygen mask," supporting my theory of mind control...

Basically, Pyro looses grip on the little sanity it has and becomes a killing machine whenever it pictures itself in this "Candy-Land"

 

If thats true, then I feel sad, i wanted to go insane so when I started killing people, music would come on and I would be firing rainbows.

I don't know, but somehow I remember the pyro sitting down, taking of her mask and being a blonde female. Maybe it was just my imagination :ph34r:

It would work like a "Happy Place" in the mind. People make "Happy Places" to help them cope with stress, fear, pressure, etc.

Perhaps Pyro, while being a pyromaniac, simply doesn't want to hurt people. So it created this fantasy to avoid feeling the guilt of murder, while satisfying the job demands and the urges of pyromania.

You probably saw one of the fake Meet the Pyro videos. Those aren't accurate at all and are fan made.

actually am i the only one who scare to wear a hat because if i do wear a hat then about 6 person instantly asking for it?

 

Doesn't usually happen to me often. Although I do get that occasional "r u selling dat hat" and a simple "no" and a cancel trade usually gets them off my back :)

Well that would be an option but i already tried to say just simply "no" but people still annoying me for my gear :(

"why you not trading", "okey but have you got a backpack extender what you can give me?" etc etc...

I main Pyro, Engi, and Medic, the later two mostly when there are none on the team (happens quite often).
