This just in from the blog, PYROMANIA IS LIVE!

 

They just announced the day 3 content as well and OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH it contains the fantasy stuff from Meet the Pyro!

Darn! Can't craft the SMG... I managed to get the Scorch Shot, Hitman's Heatmaker, Baby Face's Blaster and the Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol

I main Pyro, Engi, and Medic, the later two mostly when there are none on the team (happens quite often).

 

I might have a hat for you, then. Friend me on Steam, and when the item/trade system stops flipping out, maybe I can give it to you.

 

Speaking of trading, I'm in need of 2 Direct Hits. a Flare Gun and a Machina. I can give a scrap each. I thought I'd be able to craft everything, but the items needing 3 of the same weapon threw me off. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

I have now played TF2 for 700 hours.

I also just got the Sultan's Ceremonial hat as a random drop. :D

So, does anyone else find those Pyrovision goggles disorienting as hell?

 

Between all the Pyros and the terrain of the new map, I find it terribly distracting. It's hard for me to get settled into a groove, though I like the concept of the new game mode.

It's a weird penalty. What is the strength of a Scout who cannot jump? The only time that made a modicum of sense was when the Sandman's original drawback was losing the double jump.

 

The Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol is effectively useless until most of the Pyros disappear as a result of this update---unless you like dying frequently.

Yeah, I found it's best to use the Pocket Pistol on maps with a lot of high open areas, like Hightower, that way the Pyros have a harder time hitting you and you can make use of the "No Fall Damage." The Blaster is best on maps with plenty of choke-points and corridors where jumping doesn't really give you an advantage.

What I don't get is why are the Pocket Pistol and the Blaster in the same set? Don't they work against each other?

I think the Pocket Pistol's "no fall damage" goes well together with the Blaster, since you don't have to jump in mid-air to save you from falling damage.

But why would you be in the air? Most drops at short enough to where you already take no fall damage.

The stock got a 10% damage increase so I'm probably going to use it more now.

If I can get some money on my Steam account soon, I'm tempted to try opening one. Everything that can come from them is good, I think.

I got the Hitman's Heatmaker from one of those ash piles. Mostly crates though.
