A song popped into Scamps' mind as she thought about what Airy had said. She had seen some ponies dance to it before, and the lyrics had stuck with her. She began to sing to Airy again, only a new song this time,

 

"I don't want this moment

Airy carefully listened to the song and words Scamps sung, and while he heard the tones she was singing, he also took care for the text. It was a nice song she sang, a song Airy didn't know.

That wasn't too much of a problem, however, as the melody wasn't too hard to recognise. He was about to get his ukulele and try some harmonies for the melody, but as this special moment with Scamps wasn't over yet, he didn't want to let go that early.

"That's a nice song... Could you teach me when I have my note sheets again?"

"Of course," she said. She looked at him, right in the eyes, trying to gain psrt of the moment back. She knew that it had ended too soon for her.

 

She looked up, trying to see what time it was based on the sun. She could barely see anything, let alone sunlight. Scamps then looked back at her injured wing and the cut in it. 'It'll heal,' she thought.

 

She laid down on the ground. "Sorry. I know we should be trying to find our way back, but I'm exhausted. I wouldn't mind taking a nap for a second." She said as her words trailed off into a yawn.

Airy nodded. "You take a rest. I'll try to find a way that leads us anywhere. Once we find any place, somepony surely will be able to help us find the camp again." He also took a look at the sky.

"My father once told me that you could figure out which direction is north by looking at the moss covering the trees. It normally appeares at the northern flank of a tree due to the missing sun. This way we won't run in circles."

Scamps was slightly sad that Airy didn't stay with her, but she knew she would be okay. She fell asleep, glad she had gotten lost. She slep with a smile on her face, hoping that her wing would heal a bit as she rested. She knew that she had to leave the next day, and she wanted to be able to fly back.

 

Her grin disapleared. 'It...it ends tomorrow,' she thought. She then shook it off, remembering that she would be close to Airy back in Ponyville.

Airy was a little surprised when he saw Scamps fall asleep, and this also made his plans a lot more difficult. He didn't like that, but he had to wake her up again.

"Hey, I didn't want to leave you here. I wanted you to come with me. Just take place on top of my wheelchair, so we won't be seperated."

He grinned at the sleepy mare. "I mean, if you feel more comfortable lying on the ground, all alone, I won't force you to come with me..."

She woke up with a start. "Sorry. I wasn't kidding when I said I was tired." She got upand walked alongside him. "I can walk. I'll be a bit groggy...." She trailed off, feeling another wave of tiredness.

"Okay, maybe I should sleep." She said as she climbed on the back of the wheelchair.

Airy waited until Scamps had made herself comfortable on his wheelchair. Scamps looked so cute when she was asleep...

He slowly started to move. Of course it was way more exhausting now that Scamps lay on him, but leaving her somewhere, all on her own, maybe not even being to find her again... It was way better this way.

When Airy took a look at some of the trees, he noticed that the moss really grew into one direction all the time, so the trick seemed to work. He decided to just go north, not knowing if that was a good idea anyway...

When Moonbeam didnt reply Stacy figured she didnt hear her call out. She slowly snuck up to the book and stole it and ran to the forest. When she was far away she chuckled to herself. She got to a clearing in the firest and thought it would be a good place to read the book. She layed down and opened it...

Star looked up at Moonbeam. "That... is a good question." She said, shrugging her shoulders. Then she noticed Stacy grab the book and run off into the woods. "UGH, Stacy, Just learn to trust Yavolin." She thought, Spreading her wings and flying after Stacy.

When Stacy stopped in the small clearing Star landed right next to her. "Stacy. I am not your mother and I am not going to stop you from reading that book but... You need to Trust Yavolin. And he needs to be able to trust You... And taking that book is obviously not going to help." She said, Confidently.

Stacy was now annoyed that Star was folowing her. "Why do you have to folow me?" She got back up and continued running into the forest with the book. This camping trip was getting more intresting by the minute and Stacy wasnt sure if she liked that. She thought about just going home.

Star shook her head and started trotting off towards camp. "Stacy is making a huge mistake." She thought, trotting into the camp site and back to Moonbeam. "Well, She got it... and I am not going to stop her. This is a large mistake and she is risking Yavolins Trust." Star said, sitting down next to the fire pit.

[Marathon 562]

After a while of running Stacy stoped. She was sure Star had stoped folowing her. Sitting down she caught her breath and then once again laying down and opening the book. As she read she found pages about hateing some pony, the one she saw earlier this morning. It then slowly turned into him writing about how he loved her. Stacy was horrifyed by what she read. Her eyes began to tear up, she couldnt believe that the last page was writen only a couple of days ago. She slowly began to realize that he still might love her and that she might not mean as much to him. She closed the book and began to cry softly. After a few minutes she got up and headed back to camp.

 

After a while of walking Stacy finally made it back to camp. By that time she was past crying. She wanted to but couldnt. She walked past the campfire where she saw Star sitting. She ignored her and went to her tent. As she went in she threw the book into a corner of the tent and zipped up the flap. She then layed down and thought about what she had just read a while ago.

 

After a what seened like a while, Stacy began to want Yavolin to come and hold her even if he might still love some pony else. She didnt care anymore. She loves him and thats what matters, atleast thats what she tryed to reassure herself of. She wasnt sure if she believed it, but she wanted to. She wanted to so badly.

Moonbeam watched all of this play out looking nervous. She had no idea what was going on. She had been planning a special surprise for Stacy, yet now Stacy was crying her eyes out. She wanted to help remedy the situation as best she could, but she still was confused as to what was wrong.

 

"Star, could you please tell me what's going on," she asked politely.

[Miss Light Diamond 2,802]

"Ok...Well, Yavolin came to me asking if I could burn a book and Stacy overheard us talking and wanted to know what was in the book. I have no idea what was in the book but I told them to trust each other and then Stacy stole the book from you and read it in the woods... I told her it was a bad idea but I am not anypony's mother." She said, Quickly.

"Star," Moonbeam said nervously, realizing what just had happened, "that was Yavolin's journal. We have to get it back! We have to find Yavolin!" she exclaimed. "You should get the book, and I'll get Yavolin."

 

Moonbeam dashed off without waiting for a response swerving side to side a little, still disoriented from being hit with the book before. She found him wandering the woods, looking for Stacy. "Yavolin! Quick! You have to come with me!" she exclaimed.

Yavolin couldn't find stacy anywere but he saw moonbeam,"Why whats wrong"?He looked really worried he wanted to know whats happening but he could feel that it had to do with Stacy who he waned to talk to so she wouldn't read the book. But he could feel in his heart that something was wrong with Stacy.

Star stared at Moonbeam as she run off. "Um...Ok." She said, standing up and trotting towards Stacy's tent. "Um Stacy... You alright Sweety ?" She asked, trotting inside the tent. "You want to talk about it ?" She sat down next to Stacy. "If you want to be alone than... Its ok."

"It's Stacy! She read your journal!" she yelled. "After you hit me in the head," she thought, feeling a little irritated still, but she put that at the back of her mind. "She's crying in her tent as we speak! You have to come talk to her!" Moonbeam exclaimed quickly with panic in her voice. She led him back to the campsite with great haste. Marisa heard crying and Star talking to somepony in a tent behind her, "I'll be right back Sky." She got up and walked over to the tent and looked inside, "Uh, hey, what's going on here? Why is she crying?" She hadn't met everypony that came on the trip yet, but it didn't really matter to her at the moment, she was hoping to get back to Sky as soon as possible.

Stacy starting hear a comosion outside her tent. Some pony opened her tent. Stacy looked and saw the mare from this morning. "S-sorry, its me. Is something wrong?" She asked politly. She then realzied she didnt know the mares name. "I-im Stacy. Sorry i didnt say hi this morning." She said wanting to get to know the mare.

Marisa climbed inside and sat down next to Star, who was opposite side of Stacy. "Its fine, I always have time to meet somepony new. I'm Marisa, tell me why you are crying, I might be able to help, knowing that Yavolin had something to do with it, you seem to spend a lot of time with him." she said, trying to be as gentle as possible, she knew trying to force her in telling wouldn't help.

Yavolin made a face."Take me to her"! Yavolin didn't wait on moonbeam but instead he made a mad dash towards her tent he wanted to be there for Stacy durning this hard time. Yavolin felt horrible for hiding this from her and having her find out like this.

Upon hearing Marisa's name Stacy was filled with rage and hate but hid it and gave her the best fake smile she could conjure up. "Hi..yeah. We spend a lot of time together, he's a nice pony to be around. I like him a lot, its just that there might be another mare he is interested in." She had a hard time from trying to not break and yell at marisa.

Star sat awkwardly not saying anything. "Should I leave ?" She then noticed Stacy's look. "Oh dear... the book was about Marisa and Yavolin... I think i'll stay." She searched for something to say. "Um... I uh... Never mind." She said, glancing out of the tent at the fire pit.
