Mal followed Radio down, arriving at her lab it seemed rather desolate, he noticed the scrap on the work table.

'Well this is rather desolate. She must use the scrap to make different things and tools like earlier.'

"Well Radio, I have a few questions. First, I just want to ask, where are you really from?" He asked Radio.

She rolled her eyes, "I didn't lie. Junktown," her horn magically assembled a screen, bigger than before, and she uploaded the microchip. A series of images appeared, documenting a town that had been blown up. Ponies lay, dying in the streets, and the sights all looked depressing. Ponies could barely get by, and could only do that by helping each other. "Like I said, not a great place to visit, even if you could."

she smiled at sky and took another sip of her raspberry vodka

she moved close to sky until her muzzle was next to his ear and whispered

"...you're kinda cute"

Mal stood there staring at the screen.

"W-where is this? We need to help those ponies! How come Celestia or anypony hasn't done anything to help them?!" Mal said to Radio in a shocked tone. Mal's face was a mix of both shock and horror.

'That can't be real. It just can't....'

"This is... About 300 years in the future. About 50 years after we officially discover how to explosively split an atom. Celestia and Luna are over thrown by Discord and a contender you wouldn't know, who then forces Discord into subservience. He rules with an iron hoove, taking what he wants and throwing us the scraps. I have become quite good with scraps," she sighed, "Let's hope we can get a new future, ehh?"

Mal turned to Radio, a look of awe shown in his face.

"You're from the future.... Amazing! How did you get here?" He asked her, curiously.

'Wait, the future, that can't happen..... Is it possible to change it?'

"Is it possible to change the future?" Mal said with a more serious look.

"I do not know whether or not it's possible to change the future. I was thrown through a portal and brought here. It short circuited my headset, making it useless. I keep forgetting to make a new one. Heh, a magic nerd and a mare from the future walk into a bar..."

"Yeah, I'm probably one of the only ones interested in making these. If you ask me, they're so good, and I can just whip one up if I'm thirsty and my bag is near me. It isn't always with me though, that thing is devilish to carry everywhere." Setting a second cherry on top of the flurry, as she always thought one was too much of a cultural norm nowadays, she pushed it across to the pony. "I'm done for today in a few hours, suppose I can look for you later on?"

Aarod took the drink and took a small sip. "Dang this is great." He said, sipping even more of it. "How about I just stand here with you until you leave, don't really feel like talking to any of these other ponies?" he asked her, eating one of the cherries. He continued to sip it, but went to fast, and found out what a brain freeze was. "Oh gosh." He said, setting it down fast.

Vinyl thought about the offer for a moment. "Patrolling isn't really my thing, but I guess it'll be fine if I'm with you. When do you need to go? I can have Scratch take over if you need to leave before the party's over."

Sky smiled at Hunter. "Well you are pretty hot yourself." Sky replied as he took another sip of his drink. Sky's heart was beating rather fast. "Do you want to go for a walk then?" Sky asked Hunter as he drank the rest of his drink. Sky was now beginning to feel something for the mare infront of him.

"Sure I'm fine with that." She gathered the rest of her flavors from the bottom of her bag. For some strange reason, all her friend's thought the bag originally belonged to Pony Poppins, but Cloud Flurry didn't believe stories as such, and just took things from the bag like it was normal, and it was, to her, at least. Aarod rapidly set the cup down and seemed to gasp, but it was a common reaction to new ponies she met. "Don't worry about it, it should be over in a minute or so. It is quite distracting though, and painful too, if you try to think about something." Nopony else seemed want a drink, so she took out a notepad and began to write. Each working day, she came up with a completely random flurry, of course, as you'd expect, called 'The Flurry of the Day'. She always began with picking a flavor. Closing her eyes, she flung her hand at one of the cans and picked it up. It read, 'Cake Batter', one of the cookie lovers favorites, and set it down, delighted. She scooped a spoonful into the blender, and wrote it on the pad. Cake Batter. Next, the topping. Today, she felt lucky, so she selected two, sprinkled them in, and wrote down, Mini Moon Bars, which she created in honor of the returning Princess Luna, and Sliced Bananas. Finally, she topped it with Licorice flavored Whipped Cream, as well as Raspberry Syrup, and finally closed the lid and let it spin. A few quick moments later, she stopped it and poured herself a cup. She always sampled her new flavors. Giving it a sip, she experimentally rolled the thick mixture around in her mouth before swallowing. "Not an ounce to much of licorice. Perfect!"

Red couldn't find anypony that he knew, he took to the bar and sat down. He normally didn't drink, but he felt the need to this time, "One cider when you get the chance, please." he told the bar tender, who was currently talking with Sky. Red had met Sky once before, but he didn't know him that well, so he didn't say anything to him. He just sat there....alone....again......

Aarod soon overcame his brain freeze and watched as Cloud Flurry began to do something. She seemed to be making even more flavours and it looked to be rather interesting. So many different things that most ponies would never believe would go together were getting mixed together while she wrote it all down. He took a few more sips of his. "You must be really good at making these." He said, "because they are pretty amazing. I have never tasted something so delicious in all of my years."

She raised her eyebrows, taking a second sip, the cool flavors filling her mouth. "I gotta say, there's gotta be something you've had better than this. I mean, flurries are barely known in Equestria at the current time. If more ponies cared to try it, it might gain such status," she said, almost sadly, but with happy expressions, a confusing sensation all together.

"I never really had time for anything good when I was growing up the last few years of my childhood to teenage years." He said, a frown showing from the memories. He didn't want to tell her how he ran away when he was younger and lived on the streets of Manehatten. "Trust me, of everything sweet and amazing I have tasted, this has got to be the best." He returned to smiling.

Mal chuckled at Radio's statement. "Well maybe we should make a new headset for you? Is that possible?" Mal asked Radio.

'I wonder what the headset does... Also, will it take a lot of scrap to make? Hmm....'

"Also, what exactly is the function of your headset? What do you use it for?" Mal asked Radio curiously.

"Don't worry, I don't have to go on patrol till later. I can stay till the party is over." Sapphire replied to Vinyl.

((OOC: Ok, so, my OC's existence has been ignored twice now. Please read my posts, guys.))

 

After leaving the flurry making mare who clearly thought him to be invisible, Whirl Wake decided to scope out the place and search for someone who might actually talk to him. He flew near the the rather high ceiling and sat on a bar in an enormous, triangular truss beam that didn't quite reach the top. He was surprised that other pegasi didn't fly up here, because it was a nice place to chill. Whirl Wake hoped that he was allowed to be up there, because Vinyl Blade was at the bar right under him.

Radio looked at him sharply, saying, "You certainly have a lot of questions... Let me tell you something else about the future. Ponies may be under subjection, but every day we grew stronger. I'd just finished the necessary equipment to free ourselves. We could survive the radiation, too," she added, mumbling. "My headset helps me focus, it stores information, highlights certain chemical clusters, stuff like that. If you want to help, well... There is something you can do..." She turned away from him and started picking threw scraps, separating it out into piles.

'I wonder what she has in mind.'

"So, what do you need me to do, Radio?" Mal said as he walked next to Radio examining the scraps. He examined the scraps, they seemed to be just regular junk and trash.

'How does she turn those scraps into something useful..... Must be the magic she can do.'

He sees it as scrap, I see it in his eyes. I see aluminum, iron, lithium, silicon... so many elements, so little time. Who knows how long I can stay here? Oxygen in the air, plus silicon... Before Mal's eyes, the scrap seemed to melt, and reform until it was something resembling a high-tech looking eyepiece with a small microphone attached to it. It had a bar that looked like it hooped around the ear, all though Radio's mane looked like it would do a good job at hiding that. She turned back to him, and said, "This is where you come in. Inside the earpeice," she tapped a part of the headset, "Is a magic-battery. It's not our normal energy source in such things, because in the future, magic is weaker. Radiation interferes with our horns, less educated people think Unicorns are cursed. The only reason I can do normal magic, well... it's a long story," she shook her head, and turned back to the scrap pile. In two seconds, there was another headset. She seemed to be looking at you while she made it, and when it formed, she shook her head, "Alright, just look through the headsets until you find a pocket. Remember, a little magic goes a long way in these things, don't put to much into it. Ready?"

Mal took the headset and looked at it, he found the slot Radio was talking about.

'Here goes nothing.' He thought as he put a bit of his magic into the circuitry of the headset.

Mal did the same thing with the other headset. "How's that?" He asked Radio after charging both headsets.

She frowned and put a bit more into his, then magically put it on his face. "It'll take bit to get used to, especially if you play with the zoom function, but otherwise it should be fine. I think it was last described as fun. That pony caught a rather bad dose of radiation... He thought an old nuke was fun. Anyways, it should be on. Go ahead and go through the tutorial." She put hers on and immediately seemed more comfortable.

Mal grabbed the second headset, he put it on and it suddenly started up the tutorial program.

'Interesting.'

Mal took several minutes to read through the tutorial. When he finished he turned to Radio. "Well this sure is one amazing device." He told her with a smile on his face.
