USA Today Pony article

Awesome article, great new clip there too. The news just keeps getting more and more positive throughout the months about us, and while it's not entirely neccesary, bronies being viewed in a positive light is a very good thing. :)

...Especially after what Tosh.0 did to us. Seriously, though, he basically put porn on television and called it comedy. If it were any other fandom out there, it would be the same thing, but since it's us, people seem to take it better.

What?

People used to tell me how "awesome" or "cool" this Tosh.O guy is. When I saw the clip for the very first time, my impression was that he is an egotistic narcissist. Holy Celestia, it's like he thinks he's the top of the world and the best guy. What a self-centered scumbag; also, trying to boost his popularity by trying to make all of us seem bad? That's just wrong. I can't stand that show.

That's just what I got from it, though. Everybody has different opinions.

Can't help but feel a little happier after reading that article. It's so much nicer reading something well written and positive then something that just bashes the fandom. Brohoof to Mr. Truitt.

Notice how they mentioned twilight, fluttershy, pinkie pie, and rainbow dash, in the beginning, but not rarity or apple jack?

CONSPIRACY

JK, but we might as well get that out of the way.

Awesome article. Many thanks to USA Today for not judging. And I must have that comic!

Were Rarity and Applejack even in older seasons? The part where they referenced past ones looked to me like they were speaking of ponies that came from past generations.

Well i know spike and fluttershy are the only original characters from G1

AJ and Dash are in the old gens too, but I don't know which ones.

It's sooo awesome how the Brony community has grown to a point that it has had an influence all around the world. And to think of it how some people can be very cynical and biased due to the previous generations of the show.

Applejack is still Applejack and I believe Firefly is Rainbow Dash if I remember correctly, I have recently started watching the G1 cartoon I have said I would give it a chance and I meant it. So far the villains are a lot darker than I thought they would be, it really makes me proud. Although the diabetes inducing moments are far far more frequent in G1 and the ponies all look the same to me, for what it is it is not too bad though I like the current generation better overall though.

With all the hackneyed cliched poorly written and researched articles about us being basement dwelling homosexuals or pedophiles it is nice to see something that is actually accurate for a change.

Aaaah! That picture of Trixie, Twilight and Zecora they used in the article, it's a spoiler from an upcoming episode, isn't it?

Of all the places I expected to find spoilers... -_-"

I saw it online with someone's theory, so it might by really good fanart.

I approve of this. For once it's someone not trying to analyze why it's good based on the line of thought "but it's for girls, so why men? Adult men at that!" but rather for what it is: A pop culture sensation more akin to Looney Tunes.

They aren't analyzing it, they are just showing what it is while giving a few insider views on it.

It won't take the world by storm....but MLP took the world by storm. Posted Image

This new comic interests me. I will have it!

And now both of those shows have a character named Babs.

Also, for people who keep referencing FOX NEWS as an outlet that hates/misrepresents Bronies based on one segment from Red Eye:

Okay, so that's not real, but it really does sound like something Bill 'OReilly would say in a better mood.

Watch out though, Cracked.com is an addicting site.

Basically, it can be safely said that this fandom is bashed by more than one flavor of media coverage. Howard Stern and Tosh.0 are like the opposite spectrum, sort of.

the USA Today article will be good for the community and how people view us as a sub-culture. the people who are negative towards us are the ones going for the cheap shots and easy laughs. anyone outside of the fandom will see it as foolish or childish. i just hope that more people will see it and give the show a fighting chance instead of just writing it off as a show for girls.

i gave it a chance, and fell in love with the show and its sub-culture. why cant everyone else?

Very positive article, but I really didn't like the lack of Rarity and Applejack from the Mane 6 ponies listed at the start of the article.

But it made me quite happy when they mentioned soldiers serving in Afghanistan being bronies, quite well written, well done USA Today ^.^

Wow, what a well written article!  You bronies have made it big!  and thank you to USA today for bring MLP:FiM into a positive light instead of berating the show and its fans.  What I love most about the article is the part where the he stats 'The show broke a barrier and it's no longer pink girls here and blue boys there"
