Rose smiled softly. It was true, they all had different opinions of beauty. She admired the simpler things, true beauty as nature presented it. It wasn't her place to tell Spark that his since of beauty was wrong, since it wasn't. He just valued different things.

 

"There is something you need to know, though..." Rose's smile was fading away slowly. "I can't choose. I haven't been able to choose." After an inquisitive look, she elaborated. "Between you and Stacy. When I get home, I'm not going to leave my garden for a week. That'll give me a chance to think, a chance to choose without me being swayed by anypony here. My heart can't decide." She looked truly sorry.

Stacy hear Star squealing about something. She looked and saw the fish. "Star put it back! Were herbivores remember, we dont eat meat." She had praticaly yelled that, but not intentionally. By the time she finished Spark had already used his magic to get rid of the fish. Stacy put away her ocarina and layed on the raft with an annoyed and frustrated sigh, which was a little louder than he wanted. The stress was finally getting to her and she could feel it.

A wave of relief rushed over Scamps as Airy came close to her. "It's okay. We're safe...and together now. You didn't give up on me....even when it looked like the worse had come. I can't think of any pony who could be a better husband one day," she said as she wrapped her hooves around him. Tears streaked her face as she collapsed into Airy's arms out of exhaustation.

 

"I love you," She whispered in his ear.

Bright Spark had feared that if this time had come, he wouldn't understand. But oddly, he did. He also accepted this desision. "no, it's alright. I can see why you would want to take a break, from us crazy ponies. But i think you should tell me where you live. BEcause when we get home, im going to visit old memories."

"Guys...GUYS. WE DONT HAVE FOOD. First Rule Of Survival On The Ocean Is FOOD. That Could Have Been Our Only Chance. We May Be Herbivores But I think I Want To Live Rather Than Starve To Death." She said angrily. Then she sat down next to Somber and crossed her arms. *Not that I would enjoy eating it...In fact its killing another animal to save my life but...I am sure a snake doesn't think that when it eats a mouse.* She thought.

Scamps immeaditlu broke away from Airy as she heard Star's cried. She sat up a sbest as shecould and called, "Guys, relax, there should be some supplies in these two lifeboats. The food is crap, but it is food. And if push comes to shove....well, we'll do what's necessary." She said.

 

She then looked down at Airy. She remembered the last time they were in a lifeboat together. They ha dbeen able to manage okay, besides losing his wheelchair. 'We'll be okay...' Scamps thought.

Now extremely annoyed Stacy got up and went to the suitcase she had packed full of food and other supplies. Grabbing a random can and can opener she went and took it to Star. She slammed the can next to her and threw down the can opener next to it. "Here! Now stop whinning!" She said her voice stern and rude. Stacy went back to her corner and layed down covering her ears.

Rose smiled at Spark. She was so very happy he understood her desire for peaceful thinking. 

 

"If you follow the main road out of Ponyville towards the Everfree Forest... Right before you reach the forest, there's an enormous garden. My house is in the very center of it." She glanced towards Stacy, who was gazing at her ocarina sullenly. "I might... need to go talk to her..."

Bright Spark sighed, and turned to rose. "i think somethings happened, again. I think you should go see if stacy's alright. She looks like she could be cheered up, which you do for her best." He got up, and went over to the ores, where moonbema(?) was sitting. "go on, ill take over from here."

Star stared at Stacy, Rather appalled. *What's her problem.* She thought, throwing the can back towards the suitcase. "Stacy... I was just trying to help. And making a point... Its not whining." She said, In a rather annoyed tone.

He reeled the rope in the raft, closer to Moonbeam. She was taking a break from rowing the ores after Spark relieved her for a while. "Do you know if anybody goes around these areas we currently are right now? If not, I hope we get to an area as soon as there is one so we can be rescued..."

(OOC: well stacy did go back to the landing and collect cans of food into the suitcase. Incase you missed that)

Stacy didnt bother to argue with Star. She was to tired to even try. At this point she wanted to be left alone, but at the same time she longed for somepony to be at her side. To comfort her. She didnt care who, but if no one did she decided she was going to stay in the spot where she was and never move. And let herself starve to death. It wasnt quick, but it she assumed it would be painless. *Stacy. Stacy can you hear me?* a voice rang through her mind. It was awfully familiar. *Hop? Is that you?* she asked hopping she wasnt going crazy and just talking to herself. The voice replyed, *Yeah its me. Listen ive got your brother here doing his mind talk spell.*

Another voice came through. *You kow its not easy doing a three way converstaion. Hey, stace. We just wanted to check up on you. We got the letter. Its good to hear youre laying off the liquor. So how have ya been?*

Stacy paused a second. *Im fine.* she lied. *I have to go, were kind of busy. You know ball room dancing and what not. I'll talk later.* she then cut off the spell. Her brother had done it on her so many times it was easy. Its been years since she had seen him. He had moved to Canterlot years before now. It hurt to shut him out like that but she wasnt in the mood to talk to him. Or Hop for that matter. So she continued to lay on the raft watching the water as it calmly rolled past the it.

Rose looked amusedly at Stacy, whose ears were flicking. She was hearing somepony talk, just like Rose always did with the trees. She gave Stacy a moment, then when her ears stopped flicking, Rose joined her. "Who were you talking to?" she asked, fully aware Stacy would probably try to push her away.

Stacy didnt look at Rose. She didnt want her to see the hate in her eyes. Stacys brother had some guts to try and talk to her after what he did. Stacy put her concentration back to Rose as her brother tried to reach her again. "...It was my brother and Hop. They were just checkin up on me." Stacy looked up at Rose as she shivered. It was starting to get cold and the sun was getting pretty low. "Do mind laying next to me?" She asked, the stress fighting its way into her voice.

Stacy didnt look at Rose. She didnt want her to see the hate in her eyes. Stacys brother had some guts to try and talk to her after what he did. Stacy put her concentration back to Rose as her brother tried to reach her again. "...It was my brother and Hop. They were just checkin up on me." Stacy looked up at Rose as she shivered. It was starting to get cold and the sun was getting pretty low. "Do mind laying next to me?" She asked, the stress fighting its way into her voice.

"Well, that's sweet of them," Rose said, as she lay down next to Stacy. Stacy's voice was worryingly strained. Rose could tell something was wrong, but hesitated to ask what she had on her mind. She satisfied herself by asking, "So... I just realised I never actually asked you to come and see my garden... Would you like to sometime?"

"EVERYONE, BRACE YOURSELVES!", Somber cried out to the group, as he held Star very close to him. He was only praying to Celestia that this was just a false alarm, and that it would be literally smooth sailing.

Stacy smiled as Rose laid next to her. She could feel the warmth of her body radiating off her. Firecracker then Yelled something about a giant wave. Stacy felt the raft lift up and then back down splashing water onto her. But she didnt mind. "Yeah well, im not to happy about it." She replied to rose.

(ooc: dinner time!)

"As for coming to see your garden, id love to. Right now im just a little stressed out with the whole volcano thing and having to tend to everyone else whos hurt and what not. You...you did the largest strain on me. Not on purpose but still. You scared me when you were...you know." Stacy paused to block off her brother again. "I just want you to know, no matter what ill be by your side." She shivered again as the cold wind cut down to her bones, and she curled up to keep warm.

Rose couldn't help smiling. "I was just as scared, you know. Probably even more. But..." She hesitated, not wanting to further contribute to Stacy's stress levels, then plowed on; "There is something you need to know. I chose you on the advice of the Forest, which was young and reckless. It was a rash decision. I'm not unchoosing you, no, don't get me wrong. I'm just going to need about a week, when we get back, to think. To decide if it was the right decision or not. I'm sorry..." She trailed off, afraid Stacy was going to be angry or upset.

 

A large wave rocked the raft again, drenching both of them.

"There's a ship on the horizon, Firecracker!" announced Moonbeam, finally being able to confirm what she had seen. "It seems to be getting closer, but its pretty far away. We still have to last a couple of hours."

 

Despite the situation, Moonbeam looked at Firecracker lovingly. The trip may have gone badly, but she had him, and that was enough for her. She reached across the gap between the raft and the lifeboat to hold his hoof in hers. She smiled.

Firecracker had immediately noticed that Moonbeam was holding his hoof. "Well I think we are going to live after all." he said smiling. He then looked at her, "She is beautiful, great personality, I don't regret anything at all, I might have to technically thank the duo for abducting me on that ship, even If the ship went down..." he thought. Then he noticed the sun was going down, along with that, Firecracker saw the same dolphins that Moonbeam and Firecracker saw when they were on the ship. they were a couple of miles away from the rafts, but they were visible enough to admire them.

Stacy replied to Rose with a blank stare. She didnt know what to think. Stacy sighed, "Alright, whatever." Her brother tried again. She decided it was impossible to get him to stop. *What?* she asked.

*Finally! Stace, whats wrong?*

Still facing rose, Stacy rolled her eyes. *Look im busy alright! Just leave me alone.*

There was a pause. *Ok, fine. Can you atleast talk to hop?*

Stacy got up and paced around. *Yeah just make it quick.*

*Stacy? Hun talk to me. Youre acting weird i can hear it in your voice. Is the trip going well?*

Stacy had it. "No the trip isnt going well." She said out loud as if speaking through her mind wasnt enough. Even though the others would hear, Hop needed to know just how bad things were. "The bucking boat sank, i tried to kill myself again! We got stranded on an island with zebras who tried to kill a few of us. Then the island turned out to be a volcano and it erupted. And now were on a makeshift raft where almost everyone here is hurt or dying! Yes the bucking trip is going fine!" Stacy caught her breath as there was a long silence and she felt like everyone was looking at her.

*Stacy...i didn....* stacy cut her off.

"No you didnt, did you. Now leave me alone so i can continue to try and live. Ive got bigger problems then having to talk to you. Good bye Hop." With that Stacy blanked out her mind to close off the spell. She stared out into the ocean now more worked up than she needed to be.

Stacy hadn't responded the way Rose had been afraid she would. No, Stacy's response of disappointed indifference was worse. And, ears flicking, now she was talking out loud, ranting about how awful her trip had been. Rose's eyes started to well up. It was all her fault, she was making Stacy miserable. She got up from where she lied beside Stacy dejectedly, and made her way over to sit, alone, where she could look at the lava-covered island.

Star held onto Somber for the couple waves that went by. Then when Moonbeam pointed out the ship Star smiled. "Somber...We're going home." She hugged him and looked off at the ship on the horizon.

After a few minutes Stacy calmed down she looked around the boat. Everyone seemed to be doing their own thing. She then noticed Rose by herself crying, probably because of her action. Stacy went up to her cautiously and laid next to her, pulled her close and began to brush her mane. "Its ok. Its not your fault. Im sorry you had to hear that...im..im just really stressed right now. Calm down alright." She said her voice loving and tender. Stacy regreted doing what she had done. It wasnt healthy for her and she also hurt Rose. She hopped Rose would alow her to stay by her side even after what she had done.
