Dumbledore had the breath knocked out of him, but in the end was grateful for the kick. He smoothly turned with the blow, which had landed slightly to one side, and twisted in midair, vanishing into a compressing darkness as the platform beneath them disappeared. He reappeared on another platform, above and to one side of where the previous one had been, and looked over to see River Song beginning to plummet downwards into the void that lay below. He caught his breath while he had the chance.

 

Kicking an old man. Didn't seem very ladylike.

(OOC: I edited it once I read the comment mentioning the dematerializing. She is on another platform now, not falling.)

 

Spinning and flipping along the platforms, River Song made her way over to Dumbledore. She didn't know what to do next, but she had to do something. Leaping over, she punched him in the nose, then jumped around him onto the next platform.

 

(OOC Again: Got to go, sorry! Be back tomorrow.)

Dumbledore sighed. So physical. He mended his bleeding nose with a hastily muttered spell, "Episkey," before apparating onto another platform, not giving the one he was standing on the chance to disappear again. He had a clear shot at River Song, took aim, and performing a complicated wand movement, cast the spell 'Tarantellegra_[1]' upon River Song.

 

(OOC: I don't have much longer to be here either. And Dumbledore is an old man, and while he may truthfully be agile, wishes to give an appearance otherwise, so at the moment he's relying upon magical transport.)

 

 

 

[1] Tarantellegra: The Dancing Feet Spell: When this spell takes effect, the target is forced into a wild, uncontrollable tap dance. Possibly related to the Jelly-Legs Jinx and the Leg-Locker Curse. 

• Notable Historical Use of this spell: The ancient Roman warlock Zaccaria Innocenti, in 79 A.D. used this spell improperly, conjuring 'a dance' inside of Mount Vesuvius itself, causing the eruption that destroyed the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum later that year.

I encourage you all to do the same for abilities for your specific characters. Not everyone has an intimate knowledge of every character participating in this tourney.)

Yusuke didn't flinch as the angel like Doctress charged. The closer she got, the harder it would be for her to dodge. The same concept applied to him, but he never thought that far ahead. He raised his right index finger and charged his Spirit Gun again. When he fired it, the blast was much larger than before, sending him backwards a few feet from the recoil.

Shouting unholy obscenities from heaven and hell, the Angel-of-Death-mode Doctress slammed Discordant Harmony directly into the blast, cleaving it in two, the stream flowing around her.

 

Discordant Harmony steamed lightly on the side which had split the Spirit Gun blast.

 

"Haud - unus mos audite vos scream in aula of Discordant viridis!" the Angel shouted, and the green portion of Discordant Harmony glowed.

 

"VOS INTERIO!"

 

She slashed the air, and a thick blast of acidic deadly explosive poison coursed out from nowhere in Yusuke's direction.

 

(OOC: Interestingly, Angel Doctress likes yelling in latin.)

Surrounded by a red battle aura (Demon energy), Yusuke hovered a few feet off the ground and zipped away from the explosion. If The Doctress had been able to deflect his spirit gun the first time, she would obviously try to do it again, unless she couldn't. 'So that's what I have to do,' he thought.

 

He touched down on the ground and pointed at her with his charged finger. "Block this!" He fired another enormous blast... "SPIRIT GUN..." The blast was followed by a second shot of equal size.  "...DOUBLE!"

"Oh... Making it easy for me, aren't you..." the Angel Vanguard said, shaking Discordant Harmony, and opening a gigantic portal in front of her to literally redirect the blasts.

 

"The more demonic energies you call, the stronger I become, mortal." she finished, closing the portal once the initial two blasts were inside.

 

She opened it up, and the blasts flew right back at him.

 

"Mancymancy and all the rest... No-one wins." she said, the soulblades' cosmos beginning to reignite as the Doctress fought to override the Angel persona.

Yusuke held out his arms and caught the massive energy ball in the palms of his hands (He can catch it because of his aura. I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself). He bared his feet into the ground and hurled it into the mountain that he had used for his first demonstration. The mountain was hit and crumpled to the ground hundreds of yards away.

 

Yusuke grinned. "Ya Ya Ya, nothing I could possibly do to beat you. Might as well give up now. Yata Yata Yata. I've heard it before. But you know. I'm just stupid." He lifted his fists and hopped in place a few times. "It won't take more than these two dukes too bash your face into the ground. So come on! Kick my ass!"

Meta Knight teleports away, dodging the attack, then appears in front of Sora and slashes him several times then teleports again. This time a few feet away. "Come on boy, I know you can do more than that." he taunts unaware that a Daedric swarm was heading there way.

"DIE, THEN." the Angel Doctress Vanguard Something said.

 

Ripping another fresh hole in reality, then cutting that itself out, the Doctress built the Angle Hound out of literally nothing, then folded it into an energy sign, and ripped it to shreds.

 

Each and every shred flew at the speed of light in a massive omnidirectional shotgun blast.

 

Discordant Harmony coated itself in a logic field over a relogic.

 

"Now this is the good part." the Doctress said, the Angel form fading, the soulblade cosmos ignited, and the Doctress back to her normal self.

 

"This sword is currently coated in laws of physics desgined to reduce things to the most mundane and weak state of existence ever, then kill it before it regains form outside of it, in every single swing."

 

Expending the last of the Angel Rush, she burst at him, slashing repeatedly.

 

(OOC: The Doctress is currently inches from ceasing all resistance entirely and letting the Angel go beserk with the nuclear bomb launcher spells.)

Meta Knight takes the attack and stumbles back a bit. "Ah, so you do have some fight in you." he says before unleashing his wings. "But now it's my turn." he says as he flies towards Sora, grabs him, then flies high into the air and slams Sora down as hard as he can.

Yusuke weaves backwards and rolled away from her violent swinging. "I'm telling ya, the sword thing just doesn't work for me. Nobody is as fast as Hiei with a blade"

 

'Still, she's a hell of a lot faster than Kuwabara.' He thought. 'Damn. I was hoping not to have to use this. I might have to soon.'

 

He skidded to a halt and sprinted to her side, once again only visible when he stopped running moments later. He unleashed a fury of body and head punches at a speed of several consecutive punches per second, hardly sacrificing any power for speed.

Dancing uncontrollably, River thought hard about what to do. Three seconds until the platform disappears. Two seconds . . . one. The platform beneath River was gone, and she started falling. She managed to grab the platform next to her, using her hands to maneuver across the arena.

 

"Albus, sweetie," said River nonchalantly as she swung about, legs flailing, "I believe you've won. Can you use your magic in any way to write a letter and send it to me in my universe so I can have memory of this? Once you win, I mean, if that does happen."

 

She flung herself atop the platforms and rolled towards Dumbledore with surprising speed.

As he fell, he pocketed it, and clapped his hands, disappearing in a burst of fire. He reappeared on a platform to River Song's left, a magnificent crimson-feathered bird_[4] resting on his shoulder. Both Dumbledore and the bird were gazing at River Song with intelligent eyes. "I'd offer you some tea, myself, but now seems to be a most inconvenient time for both of us."

 

 

 

[3] The Elder Wand is the single most powerful magical wand in existence, and would be likely to resist any attempts to unmake it. Wands are surely intelligent; After all, the wand chooses the wizard, and Harry's wand was self-aware enough to cast a spell Harry didn't recognise, emitting golden flames at Voldemort during the Battle Over Little Whinging at the beginning of the seventh book. The Elder Wand has before refused to obey the order it was given, killing the wielder instead of the target, which was its master. Personally, I believe it would take a physical effort to deny Dumbledore his wand permanently. I could be wrong, however. I'll edit this post if the DM decides that this makes Dumbledore OP. 

 

[4] Fawkes the Phoenix! Heck yeah! He has the ability to teleport, and take another along with him. His tears have the most powerful regenerative effects of any known substance. He is reborn from the ashes when he dies, he's superstrong for a bird his size, and his phoenixsong touches the very souls of those who hear it.

The Angel came roaring out full force, and her eyes was abyssal void. The soulblades were shining as ever, indicating the Doctress had simply forced the Angel out by not resisting at all.

 

Discordant Harmony discarded its relogic and logic field protection, and three midnight black spikes erupted from the sides of the rainbow weapon, which had turned pure white.

 

The Angel slammed a lawbook into the air: "ANGELIC DECREE". She smashed Discordant Harmony into it, causing an explosion which didn't harm her, but forcibly teleported everything surrounding her and Discordant Harmony several hundred feet away.

 

With a small whisper that sounded faintly of Fur Elise and a horn being blown off in the distance...

 

A medium-size battleship came out of nowhere and managed to crash explosively into another mountain in the distance, nowhere near where anything else was, especially where everything else near the Exploding Lawbook Teleport landed.

 

"Angel, work on your AIM already." the voice of the Doctress muttered, disembodiedly coming from somewhere in Discordant Harmony.

 

"Let me out more, then." the Angel replied.

 

Immediately, thousands of plot holes burst out of nowhere surrounding the Angel, barfing various fully fueled and functioning trains into the area, most of which proceeded to indent themselves in the ground with the force of descent, but an unusually large amount managed to continue crazily around the landscape.

 

"Do something he doesn't expect already!" the Doctress muttered.

 

"Like this?" the Angel waved Discordant Harmony, and the plot holes and most of the trains exploded into weapons, tossing everything from spears to axes to chakram to magic deathrays to hostile robots and temperamental wiring in various directions.

 

Batting away a spiky diamond-coated axe with her wings, the Angel pulled back and began spamming amulets to form a shield attack thing, as well as creating several thousand fairy attack spells to distract anyone getting close. Then gave up on originality altogether and just copied Reimu's Imperishable Night spellcard list in the wrong order.

 

(OOC: Yes, that means the Angel is pulling random bulletspam from this video until I can think of a way to attack. I assume Yusuke was moved away by the force of the Exploding Lawbook Teleport.

River stopped dancing - the spell must have been broken once the want fell into the void below. So were her toes.

 

If I kill the bird, she thought, it may not come back. I don't want the poor thing to die, but it may be my only choice. She ran towards Dumbledore with top speed, her toes protesting all the while. River leaped over him, whirled around, and grabbed the birds' tail. She was about to pommel it when she thought about what she was doing. River released the bird and hopped over to another platform.

 

"Hats off to you, Albus! Good trick! How'd you pull that off? Well, I hope to read about you again! Don't forget to write! Goodbye, Fawkes! Goodbye, Dumbledore!" She did a spectacular flip off the platform, spinning as she fell. "Weee! Oh, this is marvelous! Why haven't I tried this before? Good luck, Dumbledore! I-" She was submerged into the void.

He would have saved her if he could, but his wand was still sparking and smoking in his pocket. "Goodbye, River. It was a pleasure knowing you." He closed his eyes, and waited. Fawkes uttered a low, mournful keen from his perch upon Dumbledore's shoulder, and the two were engulfed in a white light.

As the weapons and random materials spammed around Yusuke and obscured him from vision, he screamed three words. "SHOTGUN DOUBLE BARREL!"

 

The spears and objects exploded on waves if blue shrapnel. Yusuke was now standing in the center with both of his fists steaming. "Damn," he said, stretching his right elbow. "You're pretty good at putting on a show. Not that hard to block, though." He stretched out his hands, showing sweatbands on each wrist. They were on his ankles as well. He ripped them off revealing glowing gold circles that appeared to be intangible hand cuffs. "Spirit cuffs." He explained. "Basically it's like strapping huge weights to your spirit energy. It's meant for training and it makes you a lot weaker. I figured that I could win the tournament without taking them off. In hind sight, I might have been a bit cocky."

 

He lifted his arms above his head and yelled, "AVIDAS!" The yellow cuffs disappeared and his eyes became blue. He let out a blood hurtling scream and his aura exploded to three times its normal size. A clear blue Phoenix flew out of his aura and flew around the battlefield, landing behind Yusuke before being absorbed into his body.

Skipping the gathering flares, the Angel immediately conjured a severely overloaded ICBM with multiple nuclear warheads from nanoprobes and a chunk of a nearby mountain and fired directly at Yusuke.

 

(OOC: Yes, an angel just threw a nuclear bomb at him. Boom!)

Alex continued his observations. The older man had shown to be quite resourceful. I'll have to watch out for that one. he thought. Alex suddenly wished he had taken the time to gather some of those djinn that Issac and Felix had gathered. They could have helped with this tournament. He chuckled thinking of the damage an Iris summon would do in a fight.

 

(OOC: djinn are elemental spirits that can be used in battle, then later used again with other dijinn to summon a strong creature to do ridiculous damage. As if a nuclear bomb wouldn't be enough, the Angel took the 4thwallcamera being used to record the battle and send the video to the lobby and threw it into the nuclear explosion in an effort to cause MORE damage in addition to the impact of nukes to the face.
