Alex - I'll have to get with you for a bit of help creating a character. I'll probably go pally because it sounds the easiest from the overviews I took of the classes on that site you provided. I have a feeling my graveyard shift makes our schedules conflicted, but hopefully we can find the time and it won't be too much of a burden when it comes time to playing. I know you are juggling the other group and the three continents as is, so if need be I have no problem dropping and picking it up if possible at another date to make things easier on ya.

Hmmm I've never played a cleric before. The healer has never been my style. (Well not a strict healer, always been a Paladin.) I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's just hard for me to reconcile the Paladin's powers with Equestria since they don't fit my preferred pegasus form.

Clerics actually do have some really powerful damage spells like harm, but as I said before it's not my place to tell you how to make your character. Especially for divine magic, I can find a reason to justify your ability to use it as a pegasus if necessary.

If you're still planning on playing you need to get on Skype and add the rest of the non-humanized group as soon as possible. You also need to get a character ready; we're planning on starting tomorrow at 7:30 GMT

Well I think I will be backing out now. I just can't seem to get any time to figure this out plus mid-afternoon just does not work for me as a meeting time since I'm normally dead asleep then. Also Steel can now go pally without there being duplicates. Maybe next time.

You cut it about as close as possible in terms of being able to join. You'll have to get a skype account and add all the members of your chosen group (see my earlier posts for details) as contacts ASAP. We're playing 3.5 edition; all the content that isn't covered by copyright can be found here:http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm. Ask me if you have any questions that this website and/or my previous posts don't cover.

Well if there's still a possibility to get in on this let me know, but please include the time so I can more-or-less commit to it. The reason I just linked this in my other thread is because the pony (non-humanized) group needs more players, although you're welcome to join the humanized group instead (the humanized group is a little bit further along, though). The campaign has started only in that we've had several sessions of meeting and not accomplishing much. Things are just about to get interesting, though.

 

The time depends on whether you're doing the pony group (saturday and sunday starting around 7:00 PM GMT) or the humanized group, which theoretically meets around 10:00 PM GMT but really just meets whenever everyone happens to be available. If you don't know what GMT is, look up a time zone chart or something, I have to use it because there are players in three continents.

 

Also, the game and most discussion actually takes place on Skype, so you'll need to get an account and add everyone else in the group you choose as a contact. 

 

Finally, this is 3.5e D&D. If you don't know 3.5, check out this website and ask me if you have any questions. I can walk you through making a character if necessary.

I'm fine with the non-humanized campaign, it's what I was expecting anyway (though I don't mind doing either) and can make either of those times normally, though next saturday I'll be on a plane from slightly before when the non-humanized group starts until slightly before when the humanized group starts so unless I decide to ignore the warnings and just go ahead with my phone's 4G I probably won't make it. I will get to work on my character though, what classes or archetypes do you need? I'm fine with anything that doesn't need high charisma and doesn't primarily use prepared spells. Of course there are other details I'd need to know too... But that should be enough to get the stats at least.

 

My skype is alex.dudman, and I don't know who else is in the group so I'll need a list or for the rest to add me as well.

I also remember you posting something like this. I was going to reply, but alas, two sessions really, don't allow me to give you a full review. But, from what I can say, I'm quite enjoying my experience so far. I quite like skill challenges and role playing and such, so I'm excited to do those, but most aspects of D&D excite me really, so I'm fine with anything, really.
