I didn't know if anyone created a Spongebob Squarepants topic on here,

So I decided to make one for all those fans of the show here.

I am a huuuuuge fan of Spongebob. Seen a great deal of the episodes (wanna get all the seasons though I have most of seasons 1-3 on random discs as well as owning season 2 anyway) and the first movie. Also have season 6 (part 2 anyway) and have seen parts of season 4 and 5.

 

I can see myself in Squidward all the time. Only difference is I'm not super bitter (I'm actually a really nice person) but I see a lot of the same qualities and interests.

You know, as an Adult, I'm noticeing things in Spongebob that I never noticed as a child. There is a lot of ADULT humor in the show as well that goes RIGHT Over you're head at a young ahe. I think that's great because I can CONTINUE enjoying it and feel an ENTIRE new set of jokes!

The older episodes, as with most series, were the best. They contained a lot of humor that only older, more mature viewers would get. They also had better-built storylines.

I was a fan of Spongebob Squarepants until the movie came out and then the show declined a lot in quality it seems like now they are redoing the same plots over and over.

I used to like Spongebob, especially the adult humour dotted here and there, but the new series' are no where near as good as they used to be.

 

Plus Spongebob is my 6 year old sisters favourite show, and when you have seen the same episodes of the same show over and over again every single day for the past 3 years, it not only gets old,

A cartoon that really put Nick on the map. I thought of Spongebob when I started watching it as a kid.

 

But now, I think the new episodes are like recycled plots. I still watch it from time to time.

Spongebob is a great show. The newer episodes are kind of bad in my opinion, but the older ones are fantastic! I still watch it a lot on netflix. And this is one of many favorite parts, Enjoy (:

Poor Spongebob, it was really a witty show. I don’t know what happened to it as it went on. I’ve seen it from time to time and every time I watch I just cringe, the show used to be genuinely funny, but now it feels as though the writers aren’t even trying anymore.

I’ll still have the memories from the show I suppose though, The Bubble Bowl was of the funniest episodes I’ve ever seen from any cartoon.

Is it on some kind of hiatus? Recently, the creative president of Nickelodeon came to speak at my college. He confirmed that SpongeBob is likely never going to end, and he meant that genuinely.

 

I did watch SpongeBob a lot when I was younger. But the season following the movie wasn't very good story-wise, so I stopped watching. (The animation is a lot better now, though.) I think a big mistake they made with the series is that they never bothered expanding on the cast. The usual cast of characters is still the same as it has been since season one. Other long-running shows tend to add more characters as the show goes on. However, I am interested in the second movie that is supposed to come out next year. I hope they can do something really good.

I used to enjoy spongebob, back in the days of the hash slinging slasher. Though, in my honest opinion, I think the series should of ended with the movie. As for the newer episodes, I really only find Patrick funny.

Oh, Spongebob. I used to watch this all the time on Nick back in the day. After the third season was done airing, I noticed that the fourth season and beyond was very different from the previous ones. So yeah, everything before season 4 was great.

Yeah, I was a big fan of the first three seasons.  My favorite episode was Idiot Box and favorite character was Patrick.  It was real funny back in the day.
