It works so well without them and it would be taking the whole thing in an entirely different direction. I don't think it could possibly add any value to the show, it would just turn off a huge number of people, me included. 4 I can't make signatures. Steel Accord 6,660 February 4, 2012 Share February 4, 2012 (edited) In the episode "Baby Cakes", there's a scene of the little fillies' bedroom where on the wall you can see drawings of a humanoid shaped being and some other thing (forgot what the other thing was). Do you guys think that a human appearance is possible next season? If so, I personally think the episode would deal with something darker like war between races and other forms of social issues. What do you guys think? I think humans are mythological in Equestria the same way a good deal of the population is mythological in our world. Hence, babies are entertained by cute images of unicorns and the like here. Invert the idea there. I was thinking more along the lines of a nuclear conflict in which humans eventually all got wiped out. And thus thousands of years later, Equestria was made. Why do we always have to assume Nuclear Holocaust is man's final fate? Hasn't this community taught anypony faith in the good of people? I've gone on record saying how human the ponies are. Not physically anthropomorphisized, but with both flaws and virtues that are very human. Ponies are the equivalent of humans in their world. In my theory, instead of apes evolving into a sentient species, it happened to horses/non-sentient ponies. And apes are still apes/monkeys in the pony world. So still basically animal. The ponies don't consider themselves animals, because they are like humans, who also don't consider themselves animals. So no, I don't think humans will appear because ponies already fill their place. And if they do, they definitely won't with such dark themes. Again, it astounds me that a fandom that has inspired such hope and idealism. Always assumes adding elements of their own species or world is the equivalent of opening the gates of Hell! Guys! I never said anything negative about humans and did not make my theory out of a dislike/distrust of man that many pony fans seem to harbor. I just believe that humans don't fit into FiM's world. Not because they're horrible, but because it seems implied that ponies are their replacement. I do not think they fit in because ponies are the dominant, sentient species, not because I think negatively of people. A human character, even a minor one at that, would completely throw off the feel of the show, you know? I'm aware of the human characters from previous MLP cartoons, but I do believe that humans do not have a place in the "ponyverse". 3 If you wanna see, go on and tear it outta me!
