"Oh Quip!" Peachy once again squeed as she leaned in to kiss Quip on his muzzle affectionately. Any thoughts doubting Quip truly loved were now shattered as he agreed to be her special somepony. The fireworks colored the sky multiple colors making their romantic scene  even more effective.  Their kiss  lasted for like a full minute before she pulled away "Ah knew you'd say that!" "Now lets enjoy the rest of these here fire works and then maybe sometime later ah'll bake one of mah signature peach pies just for you."

Hop was about to ask her question when she heard a different stallion speak. She looked behind her and saw the red stallion from before. Her face instantly turned a bright red her mind began to panic. "I- uh, uhhh..." she looked over at Aarod with a panicked expression then back at the stallion. "I- I don't know..." she squeaked as she folded in her wings and curled up to make herself smaller. She didn't even know this ponies name and he was asking her out, which freaked her out quite a bit. It also restarted her whole fear of being left or abandoned.

 

Aarod wrapped a hoof around her and hugged her. "There, there Hop. It's okay." He said, looking up at the stallion. It was a little weird, laying down, hugging the mare that he had just asked out, but he knew he had to comfort Hop, even if she didn't want it.

Star instantly regretted speaking his mind, watching as ghosts of the past continued to haunt Cascade even to this day. He stood gob smacked for more than a few seconds, feeling horrible for what was happening. He closed his eyes and nuzzled her affectionately. He spoke softly and assuringly, a smooth tone to his words.

 

"You are beautiful. You are truly beautiful." He laid down next to her, keeping her as close as he could manage. "I don't care what others may have said or still say, none of them matter. I'm not asking you to simply forget, but I am asking you to ignore all of it. Please just remember that despite all that there is still somepony who thinks that you are wonderful.Your gift is what makes you brilliant, it's why I love you. Never has anypony shown me such kindness when we first met. And I am sorry if I brought up the past, but at least now we can bury it for good where it belongs."

Hop pulled away from Aarod and back away a little from the two stallions feeling cornered. She flattened her ears and looked back and forth between the two stallions one of which was still on the ground. She didnt know wether or not the new stallion even knew her or not but she had a feeling that when she noticed him he took that as a "come talk to me". The whole situation was her a little uncomfortable.

She heard it all, as if from miles away. His words rang in her ears, echoing and echoing their refrain... The body that shuddered euphorically as it felt a kiss upon its brow surely could not have been hers... It would be too wonderful to be true. Star Keeper, wonderful as he was, was giving her something she had never known, had only ever read about, had doubted she would ever feel...

 

Cascade emerged from where she hid in her hooves, her eyes red and puffy, her face streaked with tears; contradicting these was the small smile she wore as she looked at Star Keeper. 

 

"You said... love... Did you truly mean... love?" She asked diminutively, her voice full of hope, yet fragile, as her eyes, shining vulnerably, met his.

Quip was left gasping for breath, but it didn't last very long. "Mmm. peach pie, or 'Peach' pie?" he said as he turned his head back towards the fireworks. "You know... knowing that the fireworks are mine, make it all the better. I guess its because i'm proud to be bringing happiness to other ponies, and to see all my hard work pay off..." he said before moving closer to Peachy so they could cuddle.

Cascade, after taking a moment to allow her brain to register what had happened, responded quite enthusiastically. It was just all... so... incredibly... perfect, the lighting from the fireworks, the smells of the freshwater breeze, the taste of his lips, melding with hers... She barely noticed that her tongue was trying to wriggle its way into his mouth... It just felt so natural...

Chaser Wing, being a very observant pony, quickly noticed the uncomfortable look in her eyes and her body language. He simply backed away and turned his view over to the fireworks and the starry skies, which reminded him of Night Song. Then he started to ponder his actions. Maybe I was too quick. I should slow down. Darn, I've done this before, but it feels so foreign he thought with frustration. He still didn't notice the stallion.

He couldn't tell if the new stallion just didn't see him, or was ignoring his presence, which frustrated him a little bit. Why must everything go wrong, I meet her, things are going good, then wham another pony comes up. I solve once, then we come out here and I had plans to ask her out, and another pony beats me to it. He thought to himself, watching her. He then noticed she was nervous, again.

She looked over at Aarod with a puzzled but still frightened expression; taking a few step towards him. "I- Its ok." was all she said before she cautiously made her way over to the other stallion, almost turning back about half way. "Ummm, excuse me..." was all that she was able to force out with her ears plastered to her head again.

Oh, I am so, so, so, so, SO late... I hope Cascade won't get mad. Sweet Love ran at full canter until the castle was in sight, then slowed her pace. Reaching a pegasus, she flashed her invitation and walked in. Looking around, she was blown away with the detail of the castle. Looking around, she decided to wait a minute or two in the Entrance Hall, to see if somepony was going to come through soon.

That was when the real show began. Purple, red, yellow, green and all sorts of other colors shot into the sky, illuminating their faces as well as anypony else who was watching. "It doesn't seem like many others are here, I hope they won't miss it. At least it'll be a while before they finally stop, I heard they're completely full with fireworks!"

"Aye the fireworks are like a story. A sad one at that. It shows how short life can be sometimes you know," Draco said as he looked at the nice explosions. "You know I'm curious why stallions like exploions I know I am one but I'm curious about it," Draco muttered slightly.

Bluenote walked into the main room, and noticed that there wasn't as many ponies as she thought there would be. She did see a couple still in here, but she decided that she would explore before trying to converse with anypony else; in the main room or not. Besides, she was more of a quiet type anyways.
