"Well, might as well call it here. Time to head inside." Star made a flurry of excuses not to get involved in socializing, wanting to avoid any sort of confrontation. He walked back inside and decided it would be best maybe to leave now while no pony was looking. Surely none would notice he was even gone? Seemed like a plan.

 

No, can't do that. You owe it to yourself to at least try. Even if you don't know how just give it your best shot.

Aarod realized the mare was gone after a few moments but then noticed where she had gone. Aarod your not going to follow them. He started to say to himself, but the more he told himself that, the more he wanted to meet that other pony. Fine Aarod just don't make it obvious. His mind finally said to him as he got out of the water and started to walk along the shore following Cascade and Hop but trying his best to make it look like he wasn't. He didn't want them to know he was waiting until they were done to talk to the Hop.

Star chuckled. "You remind me of a foal in a candy shop." She said, Smiling and trotting towards the snack table.

"Its funny...I have been so nervous and shy today I never really noticed how hungry I was." She grabbed one of the plates and placed a brownie and a sandwich on the plate. "Do you want anything, Rockshire ?"

Rockshire giggled a bit from Star's remark. "I can't help it. It happens when I see a new place... So you might as well get used to it.", she said while levitating a plate and grabbing two finger sandwiches.

"You sure?" Cascade asked, almost effortlessly foiling the mare's attempts to lose her. When it was obvious she would not respond, Cascade sped up, and hopped out of the water, landing, dripping, right in front of the startled pegasus. However, her tone was kind when she said, "My name's Cascade. It's my party, and if something's wrong, it's my responsibility, as hostess, to fix it. Please, what's bothering you?"

Hop jumped when the mare seemed to appear in front of her as if she was a unicorn. Seeing that trying to out run her was impossible, Hop sat down with a sigh. "Its nothing." began in a quiet voice so it wouldn't sound strained. "There's nothing wrong. I don't need any help fixing anything. Just drop it." Hops tone confirmed that she was lying but she didn't care. So she sat there a little bit to see if the mare would continue to push for info.

"Its one of the many things I like about you." She smiled and took a bite of her brownie. "Wow, I gotta compliment Cascade on these Brownies." She smiled and took another bite. "Something cool about this place...It was made by Cascade and her friend...I don't think they hired anypony to help them build." She smiled and bit into her sandwich.

Cascade peered at Hop with intelligent eyes, fully aware that something was going on. She sighed. "All right. Sorry to bother you. Go ahead, keep running away from nothing." She stepped to one side, and sat down, basically inviting Hop to go ahead past her. "Just remember, I'll be there for ya when you actually need me." She inclined her head, the landscape behind her almost beckoning, inviting. "Go on, then."

Hop wasn't sure what to do. She could just go to da different part of the castle if she wanted but she didn't move. She just looked at Cascade, almost sizing her up. *sigh* "Ok, ok. Im sorry. Im just not used to talking about my problems which is kind of ironic. And I mean its just a silly thing to be worked up over but... its just bothering me a lot. Im not sure what to do honestly." Hop said as she dipped her head shamefully.

"By herself and another?", Rockshire exclaimed as she took a bite into one of the sandwiches. "That's amazing... And to have all this architecture set up so easily with sand... I am truly astonished..."

 

She was way too deep into looking at the entire building... She needed to snap out.

Cascade fluttered her flipper-wings slightly, scattering droplets of water all around them. "Everypony has problems sometimes," she said. "It's okay to seek a friendly pair of ears." She patted Hop kindly on the back, and said, "Why don't you tell ol' Cassie what's going on?"

Peachy looked on as the raced continued "Ah think ah had enough swimming fer one day." Peachy said to Quip as she got out of the water. She then dried her self off my shaking her all body splattering tiny drops of water everywhere it was messy but it was just as effective.  "Well it's been mighty nice hangin out with ya Quip but ah'd like ta see how everypony else that's  here and get ta know them too."  she said picking up her hat and placing it back on her head.   "Maybe we can see each other later again when the fireworks start does that sound good?"

"I guess I just didn't have enough endurance. (Insert Lying Applejack face here) Come now, I do believe you have a dance with our hostess to do." Styles smiled slyly, He didn't care who started dancing, as long as someone did. Styles started swimming towards the shore at a leisurely pace, expecting Ace to follow. He was thinking about several other mares he had seen earlier, perhaps one of them would like to dance, Then again he had promised Peachy a dance.

Ace looked around. "I don't see Cascade but she probly has something better to do then dance shes a host of a party. I'm sure shes busy." Ace said flollwen Styles out of the lake. When he was out he dryed himself off by shaking his body scatering water everywhere.

Hop slightly covered her face with her hoof when Cascade shook the water off her, making Hop smile a little. "Ok... well, uh... first off my name is Little Hop. But you can just call me Hop." she pause and dug at the ground a little trying to think. "Ok so there is this stallion Ive known for a while and I like him." her face began to turn red, "The thing is... I cant you know, go out with him. Or anypony for that fact. I just don't know what to do."

Cello Opal eyed Aarod suspiciously as he tried to stealthily follow the hostess and a pony with her, and it seemed abnormally strange to be watching the situation. However, she was interested herself on where they were going, so she quickly followed, rhythmically keeping her hooves moving at the same pace as his. She had a little experience with this, as her and her fellow orchestra players always tiptoed past Conductor Screamer's office when they left a bit early, as he could be a pain when it was time to leave, and he never noticed if four ponies were gone. She started making larger steps, still in synch, before falling straight behind Aarod, she ducked to the right between a long row of large trees which made her slightly camouflaged. She whispered to Aarod quiet enough so the two ponies ahead couldn't hear, "Aarod, get in here before they see you following them!"

@, Quip nodded and got out along with her, not exactly enjoying the water shower afterwards though. "Yeah sure, i'll join ya. The guy's Cascade hired to help are going to set them off for me, should be fun watching one of my own shows for once" he said  before drying off a bit more carefully.

She jumped, and looked around, and stared at the spot the sound had come from for eight full seconds before returning her attention to Hop. "Listen... For every rule, there's an exception. Just follow your heart." She patted Hop on the back, once again, kindly. "Come on... We should head back to the castle. If you need to get away, let me know, and I'll let you upstairs. There's not much to look at up there, but nopony will bother you."

She jumped, and looked around, and stared at the spot the sound had come from for eight full seconds before returning her attention to Hop. "Listen... For every rule, there's an exception. I was going to come over but our host came over to talk to you. I am sorry if it felt like I was stalking you and would understand if you did not wish to talk now." He said, bowing his head in shame. Here he was a pony following another. I wasn't trying to listen in on there conversation, but I heard some of it. He told himself, thinking about what they had said.

Styles exited the pond and dried off. Seeing that he had been overdressed in the first place he chose to leave the coat off but he put his tie back on and placed his hat back on his head. Looking back at Ace he said "I never said when your dance had to take place, besides she seems a little preoccupied at the moment. Just make sure you do ask her for a dance. She is the hostess, she should be able to enjoy her own party."

upon entering the ballroom once more Styles noticed two mares by the refreshment table. His race had made him slightly peckish so he walked over, selecting something to eat he tipped his hat to the two mares with his wing. "And how are you two ladies enjoying the party?"

Cascade nodded solemnly. "I'm your friend now. Find me later if you need me, alright?" When Hop trotted away, Cascade dove into the water, taking a shortcut directly through the middle of the lake to get back to where Ace now stood in front of the castle (and never noticing the pair of ponies who had been following them). "Sorry, there was something I had to take care of. But I'm back! Don't I owe this fine colt a dance? Or did the other one win?" She asked, eyeing Ace with an air of curiosity. @@Marathon, @@Flying Ace,

Here he was a pony following another. I wasn't trying to listen in on there conversation, but I heard some of it. He told himself, thinking about what they had said.

Hop let out a slow breath then smiled at the stallion. "Its alright. I guess I could use some company now, if youre still wanting to talk." she said calming herself down. "My names Hop, and yours is?" she asked making her voice soft and sweet. Hop didn't mean to make him feel bad for wanting to give her company, but she still wanted to find Draco and apologize to him.

He looked up. "My name is Aarod Brachuin." He answered her question. "Again sorry for following you, but you seemed a little upset. Of course that is none of my business. Would you care to go sit down or would you rather walk and talk, I can do either or, it is up to you." He finally said. Interesting how fast her attitude changed from anger to kind. He thought to himself.

"Great ah'll be looking forward towards watching yer show." Peachy said before tipping her hat off to the stallion. "Bye." She said. as she left him. There were so many guess already interacting with each other so Peachy wasn't really sure where to go next.. "Hmm maybe ah should let somepony come to me this time....." She thought to herself before her stomach rumbled a bit. "Heh ah' guess im headed towards the place with the food." she said walking off towards her destination.
