your reaction to a song you like

So this just came out of the blue

As I was listening to Styx's "Come Sail Away" I got the biggest smile and nearly started tearing up a bit because I'll be honest, I absolutely LOVE that song and everytime I hear it, I always feel like I'm going to start crying because of its awesomeness

Most other songs I really like I tend to get the giggles because I mostly listen to happy hardcore music

My question to you is how do you react to a song you really like/love

Do you get all giggly or do you nearly come close to tears...

Or Are you just neutral and just say "hmm, I like this song"

Tell me all about it

I'm curious :)

I've only come close to tears like twice in my entire life... I tend to listen to a lot of videogame music because it reminds me of the good old times...and people say music helps recalling memories the best.

So yeah, I don't cry, but I get goosebumps a lot.

When I see an upload from an an artist who consistently writes good songs:

It really depends on the song - some I find to be just "okay", and others are beautifully euphoric. Some tunes are good for listening to every so often, and then there are some songs that will never get old, no matter how many times I hear them.

On the other hand, when a webpage starts automatically playing terrible music and I can't find the "off" button:

My favorite song is Good Time by Carly Rae Jepsen and owl City. When I hear it I feel to jump up and dance or bop my head in time with it..

I usually go into a dream world when i listen to anything by Coheed and Cambria. The songs have deep meaning to them not to mention that the lead singer writes comic books based on his albums(the Amory Wars).

I'll sort of just bob my head, or tap my feet. Sometimes I'll sing or hum the lyrics or something like that, but I've never been brought to tears while listening to music.

Strobe can be replaced with The Veldt, Raise Your Weapon, Bleed, Brazil (1st Edit), or HR 8938 Cephei.

With me it really depends on the genre. If it is something that I can dance to (dubstep or Jazz) I do just that, Dance. If it is another song I usually just end up bobbing my head. so i guess that is your answer.

I move.

Why is it called Common Sense if it is not that common?

Whenever I find a song I like I always get goose bumps. For example, Rainbow Dash's part in the song At The Gala, which i think almost everyone likes. Another example is in the end of Far Cry 3, I'll try not to spoil it but when the credits roll up and the song plays... it just brings out the tears :')

It sounds dull at first but trust me, it builds up and gets really good in the middle! :)

When I'm listening to "Slow Ride" by Foghat, I can't help but bobbing my head up and down, and turning the music up. I also really feel like taking a drive down a long desert highway while listening to it.

Or another good example is when I'm listening to "For those about to rock, We Salute you" by ACDC, I just want to fire some guns up in the air.  :P

I sing along. Not surprising, since I love love love to sing.

(And I am not ashamed of it, because I'm quite good at singing, if I do say so myself.)

Well, when I react to this song:

I just completely relax and slightly bob my head to the chorus :3

When I react to this song:

I just go completely hardcore and like tap my fingers to the beat and sometimes sing along :D

  • 1 year later...

When a song I love to death plays.... I sing it or I'll start dancing. It kind of sucks when I dance.. because I can't control myself.. its odd. some songs make me ball... for a good few mins because they are so sweet and just ahh

If a song I really like starts playing, I'll tap my foot and bob my head to the tune.

If I really get into the song, I'll dance to it.
