He noticed her slight movement and sat there in silence for a moment, almost ashamed that he had put her in this position. Her comment was a bit awkward, and he flushed a slight red, making the coat on his face a bit purple. After a pause, he decided to talk.

"So who did send out the invites if it wasn't you..?"

 

Eve sighed, and responded in a rather controlled tone, "That would be my neighbors, Ragtag. They seem to have the most annoying habit of making me go to social functions. Seem to think it's good for me. But this is the first time they've actually brought one to me." Her slight, laughing smile contradicted her next statement. "Oh, I could just strangle the pair of them," she said fondly.

Silver felt his tear and looked at him. She was surprised, she hadn't expected him to react this way. " Thank you, you're the first pony I've trusted ever since I was found... I used to have lots of friends, I wasn't shy..or afraid.. But then.." Silver stopped talking and leaned into Leaf hoping for comfort.. " you're the only friend that I have, I know that sounds weird.. I usually just go to my books for comfort, but then I met you"

She walked with Somber to the pond, seeing that their wwre no ponies around who could hear thwm. "Somber...if what happenned to me happenned to you, do you think a special somepony would help you get over it?" She asked. "Because that's really my main problem with this. I have to talk to you because....Goldseek doesn't know yet. But....I've never felt the need to tell him. But, the point is, I'm not sure if having a cotfriend will make things better or worse. I don't qant to hurt Goldseek, and I don't want to hurt you again. And to top it all off, I don't see how any colt would want me....." she said, looking down at the ground cautiously.

He stood there slightly bemused, unsure of what impact if any his words had just had. Dusk felt slightly numb now - I can't believe I just did that...I feel like such a fool - he thought to himself sadly, the look of embarrassment and sadness creeping onto his face.

 

He didn't say anything, he just looked down at the floor with his ears plastered to his head and nodded slowly. 

(OOC: Oh, ok! XD To be honest, I was kind of face palming myself when I read that!)

 

"You aren't alone. I embarrassed myself as well like that," Star Rain reassured Dusk, about to pull out a fillyhood memory of her's. "There was one time I was giving out a speech in front of the whole school. It was supposed to be about environmental issues around all of Equestria." She looked down in embarrassment. "It turned out I really reading a poem about pizza..."

Leaf slightly blushed from the kiss Silver gave on his cheek. "Don't leave without me!" he said, getting up from the bench and catching up towards her, laughing. They then walked past the Circle and through the eastern road that would lead them to the banquet.

Silver laughed at nuzzled his shoulder when he reached her. She felt like she was young again, before that happened, when she was playing with her friends. " Thank you" she said " For being there, for walking up to me and saying hello. I'm so glad you did or else I'd probably still be at that pond watching the fish swim around"

Something Star said struck him odd..."Embarrassed myself as well" he mulled the words over in his head again and again. 

Was he embarrassed at what he said? Or was he embarrassed because he meant it? Where they empty words in her ears? The way she spoke sounded reassuring, but the words she spoke where conflicting in his ears. He wasn't really sure what to do, should he move on and pretend nothing happened? He turned away from Star, feeling empty inside - he knew this wasn't going to end well, his eye twitched, and his head jerked a little in that telltale way - "oh no" he said quietly.

 

He quickly tried to slam a lid on what he knew was coming - not really sure what to say, he tried anything to quickly change his emotional state - "Well if Pizza is an environment issue, i'm sure I can help with that" he joked. Or at least he tried.

Star Rain took Dusk jerking his head as a sign of something she couldn't describe, but she had a bad feeling it wasn't good. Is it something I said? I just figured he was embarrassed at what he said. I don't even remember the last time somepony complimented me like that and acted like they meant it. Heck, I can't even find a single trace of deception! She then heard Dusk's joke and laughed out loud. Despite all the laughter though, she was very concerned.

Diamond stood up. *I came here to have fun...Not to just sit here and do nothing...I'm going to go make a fool of myself dancing.* She thought, Walking over to the dance floor. She walked over to the DJ (Who I assume is Descant) and asked. "Wanna play something fast and electronic ? I am going to get everypony dancing." She grinned.

The DJ (Who I hope I can control just slightly) Nodded and flicked a few buttons.

After he felt like he had hold of the situation, he turned around again (I swear this guy is getting dizzy by now) his right ear twitched down, then naturally lifted back up and twitched down again. He put a hoof over it and smiled unsurely at Star "Heh...sorry about that, i've...never really said anything like that to anypony before, I just felt kinda...hmm...kinda like I shouldn't have said it, I guess." Dusk lied, and rather poorly too. 

 

"I'm getting used to the scenery here actually, but my stomach is torturing me for not getting food, and I still need to apologise to Eve for freaking out - you must be getting sick of me not being able to sit still for 2 minutes and im not even giving you a decent conversation...im not normally this awkward, honestly" He had no idea where that came from, he wasn't even thinking about saying anything, it just came out.

Eve shrugged, not realising that he was just taking an opportunity to complement her at first, saying, "Well, I may have been exaggerating..." She trailed away, as she heard him say,

She didn't know what to think. She blushed furiously, and hid her face for a moment to think. He had complimented her. He had actually complimented her! Clearly, he had never seen her angry, but... He was so sweet. She unburied herself and simply looked at him. The rose in her hair had perked up, and looked completely radiant, as did all the other plants in the general vicinity.

As the music started to pick up, Diamond smiled and walked out into the middle of the deserted dance floor. *Let's do this.* She thought, As she began do dance.

She wasn't that bad at dancing but she looked a little silly being the only pony on the dance floor (Wink Wink.)

"It's actually the nicest thing I ever heard in my life," Star Rain said, really meaning it and not being blunt like she was a moment ago. "About you not being able to stay still for long, I'm used to it. My father can never sit still for long either." She sensed something was still bothering Dusk. "Is it something I said that bothered you? If so, sorry for being blunt about it," she continued on, sounding apologetic. And we should probaly get out of here before we starve to death...  With that being said, some of the flowers around them opened up to reveal luminous petals and feathery seeds that glowed like fireflies. Was it the truth that opened them up?

Wait. Did Somber even had a burden? All he was was just scared most of the time, that's it... And quiet. Other than that, there was nothing. Would that even count as a burden?

 

"Scamps... I have none... But, I want to help with yours... You like to doubt yourself so much... It's unhealthy, you know.", he said with a sheepish smile.
