He smiled at her, kissing her briefly, then continuing on, opening and holding all doors for her and wrapping his tail up with hers.

Diamond smiled as they trotted outside, the snow was falling in very big pieces and it sparkled from the light's of the university. "How pretty." She said, looking around at the snow.

Shade was walking through the snow and was freezing cold... Since she was part changeling, changelings get cold more easy if not full of love, so shade was freezing cold walking over to the prom she starts to slow down getting cold...

She said as fire surrounds her entirely, a burning blaze of green fire was forming a sheald around her keeping her warm and melting the snow around her.

Diamond blushed as the sound of music (Heh heh) started to fill their ears. Right now it was slow calm music as prom had not technically started. "That's weird...some of the snow has...melted." She said. *Oh wait...that would probably be Shade.* She thought, looking at a few small puddles...

He smiled at her before holding the door for her to go in.

Lite was too busy putting on clothing when Slide had knocked on the door. She was too busy looking at her prom dress, anxious for tonight... Slide's promise... Tonight's going to be good.

She snapped back to reality, looking at the door when Slide called out. She unlocked the door with her magic, giving him access. "It's unlocked!", she called back.

He walked in, and then walked up to Lite. He smiled, wrapping his tail around her. He whispered, "Are you ready for tonight?" He then paused, then added, "And I don't mean prom. I mean afterwards." He then looked up at the clock. "Oh no! Prom starts doon!" He then looked back at her. "Sorry, I need to go get ready! I'll meet.you back down here!"

 

He than ran up to his room. 'No time for a shower, just have to brush my mane real good.' He quickly brushed his mane, put on his suit, grabbed a rose for Lite and hid it inside his suit jacket. He breathed in and out, nervous, but ready. For prom, for his and Lite's "alone time," for everything. He fixed his bowtie (since bowties are coo he changed.it out,) and then ran back down to Lite's room. He walked in, knowing it was unlocked. "Are you ready, my lady?" He asked like a sir, since it was, in fact,.prom.

"I better be their early than late." Arrow said to himself as he started to walk over to where the prom is being held at and in. "Sliw music is slow." he muttered to himself and sat at an empty table and waited. Watching two other familiar ponies he met before.

Lila sat around for a while waiting for prom to start. She didnt bother to put on a dress for two reasons. 1: its really cold out and 2: she dosnt have one. When it was time she exited the dorm and headed to where prom was being held. She didnt feel the slightest bit cold on the way there thanks to her heavy jacket she was wearing. When she heard the music she recoiled slightly at how slow it was. Lila noticed everyone else was wearing something over the top and laughed at how cold they must be to herself.

but being around other ponies love just made her feel uncomfortable, she knew she probably shoudent be here, but she really wanted to be with somepony.

Rambler had to admit he was excited. Dances weren't really his thing, but he'd never been to one with Cascade before, and everything was infinitely better if he had her with him. He got dressed and headed across the hall to her dorm.

((I apologise for my incredible inactivity as of late. I was just about to start my paragraph, funnily enough. Also, I don't know what colour font I want Cassie to have. And it's okay for Rambler to call her Cassie. She doesn't let many ponies call her that, for personal reasons. But they've probably been together for a few months at least now, so he'd be fine to.))

 

 It was mere moments before Cascade burst out of the door to answer Rambler's summons. Immediately evident was the effort she had put into preparing herself for this dance. Her mane was rather wavier than it was normally, and smoothly ran with her dress to give the impression of the ripples of a clear lake on a beautiful sunny day. Indeed, when she moved, it seemed as if her gown was actually a flowing creekbed rather than just a pretty dress. Her eyes locked on to Rambler's.

 

"Sorry I took so long," she said. "We're going to be late! How long have you been waiting for me, dear?"  She gave him a brief hug before they set off at a brisk pace.

Rambler's jaw dropped when Cascade walked out.

 

"And here I was thinking you couldn't get any more beautiful. You look... amazing."

 

As they walked, Rambler intertwined his tail with hers.

 

"Anyway, I wasn't waiting too long, and even if I was, I'd wait for you forever. Oh, and I have something special I want to give you tonight. It was supposed to be a hearts and hooves day gift, but I never got a chance to give it to you. But maybe I should wait until after the dance. We don't want to be late, after all. Of course, I guess it's up to you. I don't mind if we're a little late."

Well, it's safe to say that Star was obviously not very lucky when it came to parties. Like the time when he accidentally spiked the punch with love potion, the time he kissed another mare by accident, told everyone he was gay and went a bit overboard. Infact he was quite useless when it came to parties.

 

What could possibly go wrong this evening? Well, many things could in fact, but Star prayed to Celestia that this wouldn't go badly. It was quite hard to achieve when you've fallen in love with your mates mare.

 

Yeah I said it. Star accepted that fact about a month ago. It was wrong and he knew he shouldn't be having these feelings, but something just kept pulling him back in further. Now he was relatively infatuated with her. Well, what could possibly go wrong?

 

Putting on his usual formal attire, consisting of a black suit coupled with a white scarf, Star made his way towards the intended venue. Tonight he was finally going to do it, he was going to come out. There was little chance of success but the weight on his chest was unbearable. Maybe for once in his life he may just get lucky.

Arcane had gotten properly ready surprisingly fast. He looked at the clock on the wall, noting it would be a bit early to go right now... but maybe Lila was ready as well, and she was already there? And if she wasn't, she could just meet him there... 

 

Arcane had no idea how these things were supposed to go, so he left to where the prom was being held, and hoped Lila was already there.

Cascade smiled faintly and rolled her eyes, as if saying 'Oh, you'. At times, Rambler's constant stream of compliments could be wearing, but she didn't really mind on this occasion. Their tails wove together , and they began to trot casually towards the site of the Prom, which was not far, thankfully. She paused, thoughtfully, at the idea of his gift. "Well, I don't see why I should keep you waiting." She put on a roguish smile, though, and looked him straight in the eye. "It would have been far more romantic to surprise me with ... whatever it is at the end of a slow dance number tonight, you know."

He lead her off to the side of the road a little so they had something resembling privacy, and took out a box.

 

"Where I come from, there's a traditional ring you give to ponies who are very close to you. It's a symbol of the bond you have and the things it represents."

 

He took it out of the box.

 

"It's called a claddagh ring, and it represents loyalty, friendship, and love."

 

He slipped it onto her right foreleg before leaning in close and whispering into her ear.

 

"Is breá liom tú. I love you Cassie."

Then, she noticed a few older ponies standing in the corner of the room, giving her and Nightfall weird looks. She grinned and placed her punch on the table. "Hey Nightfall...kiss me." She said, moving a little closer to him.

Slide quickly ran over and helped her get the zipper up. "Wow....I know you' re not a fsn of clothes, but your dress....you, look amazing ." He then looked up at the time. "We should probably get going, if you have everything. We wouldn't want to be the last ponies to arrive." He said.

Coco brushed her mane and tail. She made a small swirly braid on both. It was the first time she's styled her mane&tail since she came to the university. She got her dress and boots on.

She took several deep breaths and entered the gym - with a constant blush on her cheeks and a constant ill redness on her nose. Obviously, It had already started. First thing that she percieved was the sound of the song filling the room. It wasn't a song she would expect on a prom.

She looked around. She didn't feel well standing by the entrance. She saw no crowd to hide in, so she just ran to the corner and took a seat there.

Cascade's initial reaction was utter shock. Being unfamiliar with Neighlic customs and traditions, she had initially thought he was proposing to her. Even after he explained, she was not entirely sure she understood the custom, but accepted the ring nonetheless. She'd have to hunt down a professor or student of cultural studies later... She didn't want to insult Rambler by not understanding... Smiling faintly, she leaned in and kissed him lightly, before mumbling a slightly embarrassed "I love you too, Rambler," and blushing slightly as a group of ponies passed on the sidewalk near them.
