books Unofficial Bionicle Topic.

So, I saw that there wasn't a Bionicle topic in sight, so I decided to change that and make one.

Basically, for those Bionicle fans who followed it to the end such as myself, just heard of it, or fell out of it years ago, I bid you welcome.

You're free to discuss anything from the Mata Nui saga to the Red Star Revelations.

Whats this "Bionicle" Thing you  talk about? Do you mean, MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD?

Sorry, I got you pumped there. My anti-book child self back then cursed me, so I did not read any of the books. I was obsessed with the toys, since they were like cyborgs. I never knew the story behind any of them, I just watched the movies and got the toys. At the least, I bought about two or three books that I can't remember the names of. I might try to rummage through my garage in search of those things one day. I know I bought them, and I still want to read more about them.

Also, It really pissed me off that they took something so great and replaced it with something that looks EXACTLY the same, but is much, much worse. Curse you, "Hero Factory"

The extent of my interest is in things that don't exist.

Or, at least, things that aren't in the basic man's senses

I have five boxes full of bionicle sets. (Five huge cardboard boxes of them). I used to create original designed characters. Recently I made a dragon from Skyrim because I decided to dig some out so I could display them.

Oh man, Bionicle was one of the greatest things lego has ever put out.

I think I still have all the original toa, the bohrok, the bohrok kal, and two of my greatest childhood achievements, cahdok and gahdok, the rulers of the bohrok swarm. I saved up after a month and a half of dishwashing, a dollars a day from my parents to get this. I saw it at a farmers market and I slowly worked by way to getting enough money to buy them.

I wanted to buy them after seeing them in the comic series, as nerdy as that sounds. They were powerful, impressive and a genuine challenge to build with over 600 pieces. I was so proud when I finished building them. How could anyone deny the inherent coolness of that set?

Ahem, but anyway. I was really big into the series. I visited the website, I played through that awesome... shockwave? game that they had, I watched the bionicle movie and I just thoroughly enjoyed it. I kind of just left the series around Metru Nui when I felt that things were kind of slowing down, sort of an observed shark jumping point.
