Past Friendship or CelestiaXDiscord Hinting?

I saw that the episode "Keep Calm and Flutter On" today shined a light upon the topic of Celestia and Discord's past with each other. Fluttershy sees how Discord has clearly forgotten the meaning of true friendship, as well as Twilight quoting near the end:

 

"by treating Discord as a friend, she got him to realize that friendship was actually important to him, and something that once he had; he didn't want to lose"

 

Saying how he probably went insane after something happened with his friendships, and that he didn't want them gone so he fought trying to get them back (although failed, seeing as to how he was trapped in stone).

 

We've seen this in the two earlier episodes when Discord first appeared, and he says "Did you miss me Celestia? I missed you". Though this is just my headcanon, since Discord probably has had SOME history with her.

There are always coincidences in worlds. And Discord x Celestia is one of those things, i hate the most and do not approve.

 

"Did you miss me" - You're not giving this quote other possible scenarios. Let's say, why do you think it has to do with the meaning of them being friends before? Maybe he's reffering to the times when he was defeated?

 

By the way, Discord's ugly, so no.

The episode made it seem like he never had any real relationships before. Really got a "forever alone" vibe from him. Which kind is what makes the episode realistic in the form of his reformation.

I think it was perfectly obvious he's never had a single friend in his life before this. At all. Which is why Fluttershys attempts at friendship ended up meaning so much to him.
