Alex The Earth Pony 72 January 20, 2013 Share January 20, 2013 (edited) I know not many people draw with a mouse, but I was just wondering if anyone else around here did. Since I don't have a Tablet I kind of taught myself to. Here's the last thing I drew (relating to ponies). This was a request that I did for a friend on another forum. Flicker 141 January 20, 2013 Share January 20, 2013 That's pretty good! I mouse draw occaisonally, and it's not all that bad in my opinion. But for the longest time I used microsoft paint to remove the background from a photo and edit in a different photo background. I had to blend it pixel by pixel. Not fun, but it turned out pretty sweet. SCS 7,537 January 20, 2013 Share January 20, 2013 I like it, you did a good job. I can't even draw anything close to that, with a mouse or anything else really. I don't know why, but as long as I can remember about all I've been able to draw are goofy looking stick figures, let alone ponies. Maybe I'll learn how someday, though. That would be cool. Leafeon 2,702 January 20, 2013 Share January 20, 2013 Well, I rarely draw with a tablet. I use it for shading sometimes, but it's more of a nuisance then anything. And I'd like to think I'm a pretty good artist. Looks quite good, but I would suggest making the legs wider and bodies slimmer. It looks off-balanced. Zygen 6,066 January 20, 2013 Share January 20, 2013 Its pretty good for a mouse drawing, I myself draw with a mouse, I'm not the most wonderful drawer(Infact I think I suck personally) but I do draw with a mouse, I use GIMP for my drawings. I'll have to say that depending on how show acurate your trying to be I think that the nose is a bit pointy, and maybe a little long, the necks might be a bit long aswell. Everything else looks pretty good. I'm not much of a great artist though, so I'm also not very great at giving critique, sorry! Practice does help alot though, I think that after a while drawing with a mouse isn't that much of a setback really. It just have a few annoyances that regular drawing doesn't have, but otherwise its not as bad as people seem to make it, just takes some getting use to . Good luck! Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! My Oc's, Ponysona, Bella Vocal Covers Blog, MLP Covers Thread

Alex The Earth Pony 72 January 20, 2013 Author Share January 20, 2013 Thanks, yeah I guess I'm not very good at lining things up, I think it took me longer then it should have for me to just finding a good position for them to hug. This was kinda my first atempt to try and draw the ponies different from my usual style (my avatar), I do a lot better with just drawing the heads though, like my drawing of luna for an example. Sensuna 138 January 20, 2013 Share January 20, 2013 You could only draw heads the thing you're good in but you have to come out your safe zone if you want to grow if you know what I mean awesome drawing though Link to my DeviantART http://cresidia.deviantart.com/

Alex The Earth Pony 72 January 21, 2013 Author Share January 21, 2013 The Picture is PERFECT. although, in my opinion, it is 20% cooler than other pictures. I can tell you have copied and pasted RD's eye and mark, but thats alright to me. Drawing those two things are hard, so i don't blame you. I do mouse draw, as i don't have a drawing app on my Kindlefire. I love this picture and I hope you do much more! Ha yeah, I'm pretty lazy, I jdidn't have the time (didn't want to spend time on) to draw the eyes and cutie mark, Other then these being the only exceptions I usually do everything 100% me

Acoustic Cloud 2,202 January 21, 2013 Share January 21, 2013 Stay away from my Waifu! i'm kidding! nice, I say for a mouse drawing that is good. Have you considered using a paths tool? That would make your art direction so so much better. Gimp, Photoshop, inkscape and paint sai all offer this function and gimp/inkscape are free... Anyways nice drawing, keep at it. There are plenty of good tutorials, they are awkward at first, but once you get them down, they are the best thing that will ever happen to you ^^ They have many applications not only for line art, sketches, and vectors, but also rotoscoping videos. So it's not really necessary but they are very useful.

Hopefully if you get it you will learn faster then I did.
