I personally really love Days Gone By, and I consider it the best Applejack sung song. It was one of the few MLP related things that made cry (The Perfect Pear was sad, yes, but it didn't quite push me to the waterworks) the other being fan-made. Such a shame it wasn't in the actual show, it's beautiful.

I never actually heard that song until now. It really is a nice musical piece. It is truly beautiful song!
