I am pretty sure we were on the whole discussion thing.   I believe the first one was what moment was your favorite for Applejack then we jumped around a bit. Anywho.

 

 

The moment I decided or at least the beginning of the tipping point for when Applejack was best pony was in Pinkie Apple Pie when the family came together in the end. I thought "Dang. this character actually has more to her than meets the eye" this was further proved throughout Season 4. After that I went back and looked at all of Applejack and Rarity's moments to see if they had more characterization...and by god they did! After that Applejack and Rarity became my best ponies!

And you,fellow Applejack fans,what was that moment when you started to love Applejack?

For me, it was not a specific moment in the show, but in my personal path to becoming a huge pony person that made me realize that Applejack is best pony. Forgive what may seem like a tangent; I'll get to AJ, I promise. But when I first started watching the show; Pinkie Pie was totally my favorite. This started from the first episode I ever saw; "Maud Pie" (Eeyup; I'm pretty new to the herd.) I think this was because she's actually the pony who most reminds me of myself, and I was looking for something to relate to in the show. Over the course of about 2 weeks, I binge watched the entire series to that point, and was still a Pinkie gal. Then, with no new (to me) shows to watch, still loving those crazy, candy colored equines; I began rewatching episodes. The second time around I payed a bit more attention to detail since I already knew the basic plot (no pun intended.) During this time period, I slowly noticed that Applejack was just there quietly being awesome the whole time. When I put 2&2 together and realized how much she reminds me of my wife (who also has a country background and is hard working but stubborn) it was over. Her family bond is something which appealed to me greatly, the way Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle look up to her in SIsterhooves Social showed me just how awesome a sister she was, and how accepting she is of others (Pinkie Apple Pie later showed this too ). Sisterhooves Special perhaps was when she went from being my joint favourite to my one and only, confirming a decision I probably made much earlier.

I think the intro of the show was another subtle indication to me, every time an episode started and the "until you all shared its magic with me" shot came up I instantly focused on AJ. It was the same when seeing group shots of the mane 6 in episodes, I was just drawn to her more and couldn't explain why.

 

 

The same with me I liked her since the very first episode and my love for her only increased with the next episodes. I was unconsciously focusing on her more than on others and I just KNEW that she's my favorite pony.

Exactly! She's just so easy to warm to. I found it really surprising when I found out about My Little Pony/ brony fandom that AJ was so under appreciated. Its nice to see our Fan Club here seems to be going from strength to strength though .
