If a girl tries to "fix" you or your hobbies, that's a really bad sign. I wouldn't want to enter into a relationship with someone like that. If she loved you, she wouldn't give you ultimatums.

 

And this is not just about the ponies. This is a bad harbinger for things to come in general.

I would stay a brony because:

1. My dream girlfriend would be a brony too (or at least accept the fact that I like MLP).
2. There is more to me than liking ponies.
3. It would seem like she's trying to manipulate me. I wouldn't want to have a girlfriend like that.
4. I made more friends through this fandom than anywhere else. Why should you have to choose between your friends and your spouse? (This reminds me of Twilight's Kingdom by the way.)
5. Seriously, if she treats MLP like it's alcohol or drugs, that's a huge red flag.

With that said, that would be quite a silly ultimatum for someone to make. It wouldn't be true love to me if I was forced to give up something that was a part of me. Thankfully, this sort of thing hasn't happened to me with MLP or my other interests/hobbies.
