poniesforfun 716 February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 (edited) Like Trixie and Discord. There are other characters that could make a reappearance like Flim and Flam, Iron Will, and Chrysalis. I've always had this idea of how Chrysalis would make a reappearance. Celestia is stricken with an illness and she has to send the six mane to retrieve the ingredients to cure her. A key ingredient would be in Chrysalis' kingdom in Badlands called royal jelly. Her kingdom would be like that of a bee hive. When Twilight and gang meets with Chrysalis they tell her what they want and what she would like in exchange. Chrysalis knowing Spike would be a full grown dragon would be a reliable ally ask to trade the jelly for Spike so she can raise him. Twilight would be in a great dilemma, would she keep Spike or save Celestia? She would have to choose between two of the most important people she cherishes. I don't know how this would conclude but it would be for an interesting plot. Edited February 5, 2013 by poniesforfun
NeverAgain653289he32 285 February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 (edited) It would be interesting, but we have had our share of Trixie and Discord this season. So Chrysalis would be the next logical character to come back for another episode. I don't know how they would present her, but it would have to be pretty interesting to catch my attention. Maybe it could happen later in the season, but for now I doubt it. Edited February 5, 2013 by Rainbow Dash The Fourth
Akemi Homura 7,680 February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 It's been my reasoning that the writers try to run a similar route in regards to using characters much like the same way the Pokemon anime does. There are new characters in just about every episode and rarely are they ever recycled unless they're highly touted.

Veylon 255 February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 I think sometimes we forget that the show is about the Mane Six. (And maybe writers too...) Maybe we should ask what the purpose of bringing a character back is, vis-a-vis the Mane Six. While it'd be nice to see X again, you can't really base an episode around "It's nice to see X again". For the most part, the "villains" of the series weren't really villains at all and casting them in that role seems kind of unnecessary. I was kind of surprised they brought back Trixie with the idea of being Twilight's arch-nemesis. Its seemed to kind of miss the entire point of Trixie. She (or any of the antagonists really) could be awkward difficult-to-work-with allies in different circumstances. That'd be far more interesting to see than another confrontation. There wasn't a huge clamor to bring back Babs seed, and yet they did. I for one like the idea of bringing back Chrysalis in the way that was suggested in the OP. She was just such a deliciously evil villain, and I'd love to see some of the Changeling homeworld/kingdom. Sig by Thunderstorm Check out my Rarity fansite! pinkieshyrose 58 February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 (edited) Id love Chrysalis back but instead maybe her deciding to invade ponyvilie(ponyvilleis filled with love or somthing) with her changling army and change into the mane six the mane six would have to notice if thats the real twilight or the real pinkie e.c.t i dont know how it would end through Edited February 5, 2013 by pinkieshyrose Pinkie Pie : "And that's how Equestria was made!" Akemi Homura 7,680 February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 Not necessarily. There wasn't a huge clamor to bring back Babs seed, and yet they did. That's an unfair comparison. The writers introduced her as a major character and they have legitimate plans for her. She was featured in two episodes during the same season and even touted as the newest CMC member so it's a clear indication that she's already more than a one-timer. I brought up this: Characters like Gilda and the Flim-Flam brothers don't nearly have as much value as the major villains that the original post highlighted. They're good for one-shots and fanfics but fanservice aside, they don't offer much in the way of anything besides something similar to what you could expect from a Pokemon episode - a character is introduced to interact with Ash and afterwards, go on their separate ways but of course, not before experiencing something nice. Phoenix237 353 February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 Well there are ways to bring back some characters, but some will be harder then others. In any case I would like to see Iron will again. Another is Queen Crysalist.

Maybe, Trixie could join with the Mane 6 but not as the new leader. Maybe to have fun together. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 I want Gilda and/or Lightning Dust to comeback to patch things up with Rainbow Dash. I also want to see the Flim Flam brothers screw up again. And Iron Will being awesome I feel Lightning Dust is just a bit too recent to return, would love to see Gilda return though. Favourite would be her revealing that she always had a crush on Dash (not gonna happen though), or her swooping in to save Dash from a monster/rock ect., resulting in a "Of course I still got your back, dweeb." kinda exchange. Maybe have her apologize to the rest of the Mane Six too. Sombra returning would be nice; he could use some fleshing out. And my number one villain return, and I realize I've brought this up half a dozen times before, would be the Crysalis' (and Shining Armor's) daughter coming to Canterlot to negotiate a peace treaty. I don't know how this would conclude but it would be for an interesting plot. That's actually I really interesting plot idea. I find Spike to be very much overlooked in terms of his importance. His role as Twilights assistant and really her oldest friend (besides Twilights family) makes Spike have a very important role in terms of how Twilight handles situations. He is always there help bring her back to reality when she needs to be brought back, and also gives her advice or asks questions Twilight perhaps didn't consider. It's a sort of surrogate mother relationship between them, and one of the most important in the show, so seeing Twilight have to make a choice between him and Celestia would be one of the most dramatic sequences in the shows history. I also like the idea of Spike's potential of becoming a full dragon used as a weapon as an interesting concept. Many villains seem to overlook him as well when he could potentially be a weapon (perhaps that's why Celestia made Twilight look after Spike in the first place), but I doubt Chrysalis would succeed in using him knowing Spike's loyalty. Perhaps we could see Spike grow bigger but learn to control it to still be in control of his actions despite being a fully grown dragon. Certainly an interesting idea I would love to see implemented somehow. Perhaps not just with Chrysalis though (Spike was at the wedding and Chrysalis paid no attention to him), as perhaps a new villain whom had been observing spike for years could make for a more interesting villain. Or if we are going for re-appearing characters, perhaps even Sombra, still bitter after Spike saved the Crystal Empire. An awesome idea all around though
pinkiefan1287 610 February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 (edited) Well I would like to see Queen Chrysalis make a come back. It works well in the comic book. As for the other one shot characters, it would depend on the episode. If it's for them to come back and just be villains like Trixie than maybe not. Most of the characters just don't have an villain traits or they don't have a grudge against the mane 6. True, the Flim Flam brothers tried to take Sweet apple acres, but they mad bad cider and know could not sell in that town and just left. It was not AJ fault so their is no meaning for them to get back at them. Iron Will is kinda the same way as the Flim Flam brothers. No real meaning for him to be evil or anything. I would like to see Lighting Dust and Gilda come back. Mostly just to see what happened to LD. So that's kinda what I think. If just does not focus on them being villains than thats fine. It would be cool for one shot characters to come back. Edited February 6, 2013 by pinkiefan1287 Made by Gone ϟ Airbourne

Pripyat Pony 2,608 February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 I'd like to see Gilda return, personally. Maybe she could be in trouble and come to ask Rainbow Dash for help, cuz it's something that only another flyer can deal with. Like a crisis in the griffin country. I get the idea that the griffin country is in the mountains, and unseen from below cuz of clouds. I'd love an episode to focus on it. ^^ Signature and avatar by Pucksterv.
