I have come to the conclusion that WYR will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from now on, cool? yes.

lets get stated. On this thread, there will be a series of questions directed toward you in "would you rather format". You can pick any of the answers and you will be able to discuss the topic in the comments below.

I would so rather be a Pegasus, I have nothing against a Earth Pony or a Unicorn. But, I prefer to fly around so I don't have to take the bus to school. Plus, do a sonic rainboom. Flying rocks!

Stop time (obviously way cooler)

Poison ivy (I don't have an option since I'm a vegetarian)

Icy desert (I LOVE the cold)

Hot coal (I've done it, it's easy)

Pegasus (normally I'd say unicorn, but pegasi look so cool XD)

1. I already have spell check so I'll go with calculator.

2. I don't have a crush, but I do know most celebrities are fickle, disgusting people, so I'm going to go with the hypothetical crush.

3. It's no contest. If I could stop time, I could do pretty much whatever I want, while, if I wanted, I could always fly by getting a pilot's license anyway.

4. It doesn't say the bees are alive, so it wouldn't be that bad. Bees.

5. Icy desert for 5 months. It worked out for a while for the guy from Into the Wild, and I'm far smarter and more innovative than him.

6. I know the trick to walking over hot coals, so I'm going to go with that.

7. Unicorn, hands down. I could use magic.

1. Calculator, definitely.  It would be unbelievably convenient for everyday calculations like a shopping cart, and spelling is something that comes naturally to me already.

2. Well, I already have gone on a date-like thing with my crush-like person, so I guess I'd choose the celebrity.

3. Flying, for three reasons:  free transportation, access to out-of-reach areas, and marketable superhero potential.  And it would be fun as heck.

4. They'd both probably kill you, but I think Poison Ivy would be less painful.

5. I'd pick the tropical island.  In the desert I'd likely either die of dehydration during the day or die of hypothermia during the night.  At least on the island I'd have a chance to find sustainable food.

6. Walking on hot coals, since it'd be over soon.  I would never want to spend a whole night with the risk of rolling on my side and having sharp things dig into me.

7. Pegasus!  For reasons, see #3.

but I believe the medical response to this situation to have a better outcome than the medical response to bees stinging you in the throat as there would a much faster systemic reaction that the ivy. The ivy can take a couple days to react while a bee sting is more instant

1. Rather have a calculator in my brain. I'm pretty good at spelling words as it is.

 

2. Rather date my crush. I usually don't have crushes on celebrities.

 

3. Rather be able to fly. I honestly don't really know what I'd do with the ability to stop time.

 

4. Rather eat eat poison Ivy. There's not really an antidote for killer bee venom that I know of.

 

5. Rather be on a deserted island. I'd have a better chance at finding food than I would in an ice desert.

I've actually heard of country's that eat bee's and bugs as a delicacy, I think i've seen bear grylls do it too. Plus, I never said they had to be alive. eh? -CANADIAN

I am not mad at all I promise...but it's a bit misleading...you are offering up a definitely dangerous situation (eating poison ivy) to what we assume is comparable (eating live killer bees) but now you just changed and said...oh they can be dead...that doesn't feel comparable to me anymore 

 

I think people would assume it to be just as dangerous (hence alive and angry)

Q.1 Calculator. It would be much more convenient. And you'll be able to impress more people by computing something like 89 / 0.133 instantly than by spelling a word correctly.

Q.2 Date my crush. I don't give two shits about celebrities (except for their money maybe.. but I'd still rather date someone I actually like than date someone for their money)

Q.3 Stop time. Think of all the possibilities!

Q.4 Poison Ivy. It wouldn't be very pleasant, but at least it wouldn't kill me like the bees.

1) spellcheck. I already have a calculator in my head. Seriously, I can already do most arithmetic without a pen and paper or calculator at all. I can calculate restaurant tips in my head in a matter of seconds.

 

2) I'd have to go with the celebrity by default, since I don't ahve a crush right now.

 

3) Stopping time. Flying's fun, but stopping time is WAY more practical. Hell, you can even use it to win at Vegas, save lives, pretty much do anything you want.

4) Ivy. You said KILLER bees.

 

5) More food, more survival.

 

6) walk on coal. Firewalking's really not that hard, as shown by the Mythbusters.

 

7) Unicorn. Telekinesis is pretty damned useful.

1)I'm a writer, so I constantly use spell check to check my stories and whatnot. I don't do a whole lot of math, so having a built in calculator isn't that interesting.

2)I wouldn't really want to date a celebrity, but I would certainly date my "crush" (if I had one lol).

3)I find the concept of time to be interesting. Flying just seems too generic to me.

4)Poison Ivy definitely. I'd rather be sick then get stung by bees. I just hate the though of getting stabbed in the mouth hundreds of times.

5)I'd rather last for a few weeks and die on a tropical island than freeze to death in a tundra. Think about it; if I had no proper covering to keep me warm, then what's the point of having 5 months of food? I'll die soon anyway.

6)Succuming to burns seems less painful than having nails go through you. I hate the thought of nails. *shudders*

7)Pegasus FTW! It's my favorite type because they fly and can walk on clouds.
