I've always liked kart racing games like Mario Kart etc. but this one just takes the concept to whole new level of awesomeness!

This is a fan game developped by a team of bronies from across the internet who wanted to make a MLP game. It is looking EXTREMELY promising so far! It is clear that the developers are putting a lot of effort into this game and it looks stunning.

 

The music is just awesome too! You can check out some of the tunes and other stuff on their official website.

First it was Fighting is Magic, then Equestria Online, now THIS? Dear Celestia, you bronies are just amazing at being amazing. As for the game, I'm almost as pumped for this as I am for Fighting is Magic. This doesn't look like some cheap 3D racing game that was slapped together with a few textures and sketchy Visual Basic code (personal vendetta, don't mind it).

Item Ideas: Zap apple jam: Zap's enemies like the lightning bolt item in mario kart

Apple: gives u a boost of speed like a mushroom in mario kart

Parasprites: Swarm around other player's screens making it hard for them to see.

Poison joke: causes different negative affects on other drivers.

I am not sure how, but i found a link to download it, i did it, had to find a program to decompress a tar.gz, i did that, and now that it is finally decompressed, i dont have an executable, how am i supposed to play this?

They also say that they're working on adding AI opponents, items, better visuals, and multiplayer eventually.

multiplayer might not come, keep that in mind, it is the last thing they plan to worry about, so if it ever comes, it wont be for a while (we will get many more tracks and players first)

well, it is hard to find, i only found it cus the guy gave me a link and i went to town on it, let me find/ post it, then i will see if i can make instructions for people *but i warn you, you will not be able to open it without various 3rd party programs, and if you can open it, there is no exe. so it is unplayable from what i can tell* http://sourceforge.n...jects/ponykart/ this link gets you to the page, here are instructions for downloaded: on that page there is a big button that says "browse code" click on that then at the bottom of the list of folders on this page, it says "download GNU tarball" once you have done that, you have a tar.gz file, i decompressed it with "7zip" takes 2 decompressions to work, but there is no exe to run it, i am still working on getting that. *no idea why it was so hard the first time... so easy now* I will post again when i figure out the rest, for people who want to play it asap (soonest i will update is 5 p.m. zulu *which is gmt or british time*

 

I have it figured out: i do not know what i am doing! the guy says i need to... compile it, which is some fancy programing thing that i dont understand. I am seeking help from friends that know this stuff, and when they figure it out, i will take notes (yes, i am going to take notes) and post whatever i understand on here so that other people can play this game!
