Why do I get this weird feeling hearing Twilight say Miss America's name? It just seems so.. Out of place. But yeah it doesn't really make sense. What I couldn't stand was how fake her "bubbly" acting was the entire time; gosh, she was a train wreck when it came to her lines, they were just way too consistently perky. I mean, yeah, she's not acting with the characters themselves, so it can't be easy, but still, she sounded way too perky, and somehow simultaneously sounded like she was reading her lines! Miss America in MLP There was a My Little Pony Coronation Concert at the Children's Hospital Los Angles as a live musical event and Miss America, Mallory Hagan hosted the event. I got so upset when i saw miss america with the ponies. I said WHY ARE PONIES PLAYING WITH A HUMAN. I proceeded to load my nerf gun and shoot my TV. Cant believe I stayed up late for this. Nerf gun? I hope Hasbro doesn't keep doing this,but I highly doubt that it will since it probably brought them more money to have a celebrity host MLP. We all need to get away from old stereotypes and gender roles but that doesn't mean that women can't still become that. Being a pageant contestant would be a decent goal to work for. Pretty sure it's not just about how good you look either and there's probably more work to it than others might think. It's one thing to have a person like this hosting to shove girls into thinking it's what women do but it's entirely another thing to do it because they know the audience. Little girls will watch the show and they do it because they would possibly recognize what Miss America is even if they don't know the woman herself. Marketers usually know what they're doing. Would you find it better if they used Charlie Sheen? Slash? Seriously, I have no idea who the current Miss America is, and I'm an adult who pays attention to the news fairly well. My female friends never paid attention to that stuff either. Would a child really know who she was? I don't think so. If I were the person who chose the host, I could have come up with many better hosts that the audience would actually recognize.
