What will Twilight control?

I feel like she won't really control anything as physical as the sun and stars. I feel like shell eventually become the true leader of equestria. At least shell become the figurehead.

I would say everfree forest. It has mysterious history, use to be a ruling location and probably has problem Twilight needs to solve in order to change it back to the way it was. It just make sense to me Everfree forest will be her domain.

I feel like she's going to be somewhat in control of all three: She's the most important element of harmony, which is magic and afterall, friendship is magic; so there you go

I actually think it'll be friendship, or (better to say) all of these in combination.

 

Friendship requires harmony among ponies who share it, and friendship is magic (well, at least the show suggests it to be this way). Twilight managed to put all these together through the friendships she's made with the others. That's why I believe it'll be friendship. It was friendship that even helped her fix the spell and get the status of Princess.

I think she will be ruler of magic considering of how she can use a lot of magic as a unicorn.But now that she is an alicorn she can use that magic with less effort and be able to use even stronger magic.

Hmm... This could be a rather difficult question, but I'm going to keep my part brief.

 

Both ruler of friendship and ruler of magic seem severely intrusive, friendship to all ponies, and magic to unicorns. The only logical conclusion (by my standards) would be ruler of Harmony, seeing as she's the pony who tied all of the elements together. Without that harmony, Nightmare Moon would've most likely taken over, then, later as chaos grew in Equestria, Discord would be freed, and even later after that, Chrysalis would've appeared from wherever she came from.

 

Tl;Dr If Twi hadn't harmoized with the elements, everything would've most likely gone downhill for Equestria, so she's probably going to be the ruler of harmony.

All the Princesses are far more advanced in magic than regular unicorns, and even though Magic is her Element, I think her speciality knowledge lies far more in Friendship. It was specifically the magic of friendship that got her that promotion.

So the season 4 premiere did nothing to explain what role Princess Twilight will play in Equestria. At the moment she's exactly what she was before and that is Celestia's gofer. Still, we know that the TOH is a living embodiment of her cutie mark and the Mane six need to go questing for the keys, so maybe harmony will be her thing after all. Princess ambassador perhaps?
