Helpful advice with a Brony club

Well today i feel pretty good since i finally managed to get the courage to ask about possibly creating a Brony club in my community college. After a little running around i found out i would need to get a Professor to basically supervise and have 3 meetings with at least 10 people(Myself included) in order to be official called a club. I talked to one of my professor's that seems to be really cool and laid-back and asked her about being the clubs Advisor, she said we could talk after class Thursday but the thing is she doesn't know what a Brony is! So i was wondering on how best to tell her about the Brony Fandom.

 

So far i really don't have the specifics about what we'll do in the club but i have a few ideas.

 

1.)Review episodes- watch  1 or 2 episodes and then talk about them(what you liked,disliked,episodes message,ETC)

 

2.)  Share Fan-art and fan-fic ideas. But the club will mostly focus on any popular Fan-Art, Fan-Fics, or Brony musicians they thought were interesting and listen and discuss them.

 

3.) Try to spread the message of Love and tolerate- By this i don't mean throw MLP in everyone's face but just helping to raise money for charitable causes and also having a club where all diffrent kinds of people can talk and be understanding with one another

 

4.)Have a monthly or Bi-Monthly raffle or trivia challenge Club Exclusive where the winner can win some MLP Merch such as A Hot Topic gift card, MLP T-shirt, or other related objects

 

And that's all i have so far. So since This is a Brony club who better to ask then fellow Bronies If you could give me advice about how to explain the Brony fandom and MLP to my professor and also any other ideas i might could add to my club such as making sure it doesn't become full of so-called "Preacher Bronies" I'm really eager to hear any advice that you have.

Everything you have so far seems pretty good.

Since i'm assuming that's what most Brony groups probably do (Not sure since i'm not in one).

Anyway as for explaining to your professor, with all those minidocs that have been made perhaps showing her just one of those might be the easiest route?
