Time, geography and historical background

200 years ago, Ponyville. The village is a home of a famous family of tinkers, inventors and mechanists, the Tinkerswitch family.

On the other hand, their work is being taken out of harmony by other famous family... more like infamous. The clan of winged thieves, the Swiftspring kin.

Although these two families were in the times of the land's endangerment able to join their forces, the cold war between these two families has been always there. And probably will always be.

And this cold was is changing itself into an active war...

 

Background story

Doreen, the daughter of Tinkerswitch house, was a very special but unlucky young mare. Growing up in a workshop couldn't give her what she wanted - the path of music. It was no surprise that she fell in love with a sound of a flute, and with a colt who was the maker of this sound. Unfortunately, the part of colt's name was "Swiftspring", and with this name he carried the hatred for Tinkerswitch house. Desperate Doreen made up her own world, where she could get everything she'd ever wished for. The addiction of this world made her mad. She got obsessed with construction of music box. She stopped eating, sleeping.. she kept on the music box making day and night.

One day, she disappeared completely. No one knows where she is or if she's alive, no one has ever seen her again. The Music Box disappeared too. But...

IIt has been stolen by one of the winged thieves.

Roleplay happening, roleplay system, the goal

The story background doesn't give you any information, does it?

Okay, I'll explain what it's all about.

Brief description of the happening: You'll find this music box. You'll try to play the music with it. And then.. the fun begins.

 

IMPORTANT INFO

a) You have to find the music box. It's up to you. You can find it anywhere.. in a shop, in your own house.. Just be creative

b ) You'll be set to some kind of "other world".

c) Try to find the way out.

d) ???

e) Get out of the music box.

 

Some "system" rules & information:

°The relationships will be "premade" as soon as I have the list of players. I need some of you to be enemies, some of you to be love interests, some of you to be friends, some of you to know each other just briefly..  Don't panic. It will be all about the agreement.

°The relationships are up to you, but keep in mind that they could change during the songs (to complete the song).

°"Inside of the box" is similar to a dream, so don't make your characters too shocked by some happening inside. Remember, in dreams, the weirdest things seem natural.

°Don't worry - no 10 minutes songs.. maybe.

°As soon as the song path is finished, I will post the song so everyone can enjoy what you've just lived.

°You will be probably alone at first, but soon, you will somehow get together, I promise.

What is this all about?

Today, I got an idea. What would the world be like if it was made according to the song? And.. so it began.

The music box will set you to the world made up according to the lyrics of the song. You have to "finish the song" = to do everything that the song, or more like lyrics, contains. I'll try my best to lead you to the right path. After you do what you have to do, you'll continue in your journey.

And the main point: I'm writing a book and I will 100% use the theme of music box in it. I want to use this RP mainly as an inspiration. And of course, fun.

 

What will you get from this?

Inspiration, fun, writing practice, creativity practice, brain training, awesome songs.

...And maybe some art gifts when I have enough of time&I feel like you deserve it.

Roleplay Rules

 

1) Try to make neat posts. I don't want you to write bunch of text, but try to give me as much information as you can - feelings, expressions...

2) Try to be creative. You don't have to ram some crazy stuff everywhere.. you can use some original metaphors, you can anything.

3) If you recognise the song, please, don't start typing like: "Ok so I do this and this and this and this. It'll all, am I right?" no. Just no. Follow it step by step, add some of your stuff..

4) You don't have to post daily, but give me a quality response.

5) BUT! If you won't post a reply for a longer time without an excuse, I will make your OC die.

6) Try to use proper grammar. Noone's perfect, my english is far from being perfect, but try..

7) NSFW is allowed, but... only if necessary (like part of a song)... And put it under the spoiler... OK, no NSFW for us. Sorry. We'll skip that, pretending it happened.. ;D

8) Alicorns are allowed, but.. the less, the better. It's 200 years ago, I bet there wasn't many alicorns.

9) Light God modding is allowed. Remember, it's like a land of dreams. Sometimes, you'll have no chance without it. But again, DON'T OVERUSE IT! Or I will make you rewrite it or kick your ass.

10) Grimdark is also allowed. Again - sometimes, part of a song... But don't kill everything you see, ffs.

11) I was kind to you until now, but no Mary Sues. In fact, I don't think the Mary Sue character would help you either.

12) Enjoy the rp, have fun.

3) I'll give you enough of time to make a reply (I know, time difference problems and such..)

4) I'll try to help you as much as possible

 

 

P.S.: I live in a zone with Central European Time (= + 01:00) so please, don't panic if you won't get a reply in night hours.

light form. But I think I'll just give you a lot of supernatural

opportunities and it will be just up to you what you will do with them.
