With a shock, he realized he was in a dome, and someone was using a microphone. Nine other ponies stood with and around him.

 

One pony seemed to be freaking out a little and screaming something at a dark-ish grey pony... Well, in terms of a average morning, this was going quite poorly. How did he get here anyway, he couldn't remember much...

From my understand, you should be hanging from the ceiling since you haven't woken up yet.

 

Since you ponies didn't reply, Demence thought it would be nice to hang them.

Whenever you say hanged, everypony would assume it's by the neck unless specified.

I don't know why he has been afk, but I think simply removing them may work better than finding a replacement. 8 characters can still make a cool story, especially with the random challenges to come. Merely a suggestion, its your call ultimately.
