The Haunted Woods

Introduction

As ponies lived peacfully outside of the Everfree Forest, the monsters within it have been planning on taking over all of Equestria. Nopony was aware of it until one day a pony came running out of the forest with scars all over his body and a trail of blood behind him.

 

Storyline

So here's how it's going to go down. We'll agree to help the ponies in Ponyville to investigate and deal with the monsters within the Everfree Forest, after a few days of camping within the forest, we'll realize that it's been haunted. We'll then continue going deeper as we try to find out what's happening.

 

The rest of the story will be up to everypony that joins that roleplay, so you won't feel as if you're being forced to follow a story.

 

How To Join

Just hit me up with a link to your OC and a paragraph of roleplaying to see if your grammar is good enough.

 

If I don't think your OC is appropriate for the roleplay, I'll tell you.

Maybe I'll choose Featherstone so that you can have a chance to play as him. Though at the end it's still up to you to choose which pony you'd like to play as.

Goldseek had heard the rumors. And he definitely didn't doubt them. That forest was evil, and he knew it. He was there once. He was just a colt. He had killed a pony in there. His first murder. He had always hated that memory. When he was betrayed by who he thought to be a friend. And now, somepony runs out of the forest, wounded and bleeding. The creatures in there were finally moving. Planning to take Equestria, undoubtedly. He packed up his things. It was time to take action.

" Pinoak peeks out from behind the curtain, taking a sweeping glance at the murmuring crowd of expectant, patient ponies.

"It's time." With a glow of his horn, spotlights appear on the closed curtains, hushing the crowd. A voice coming from nowhere starts talking in an eerie voice.

 

"Once upon a time, the dark woods you know as the Everfree," The curtains open up to a painted background of dark scary woods. "used to be a place of peace and serenity." The scary woods fade transform into a picturesque scene of calm woods. "Ponies would walk through these woods to think, foals would use the vines as swings," Pony marionettes drop down from the proscenium arch, little foal marionettes are swing on vines, while two mares, a unicorn and an earth pony are walking past them. "It was truly a happy time. That is, until they came" The stage goes to black, and two faint spotlights light upon the walking mares. As the two marionettes look frantically around them, two evil eyes appear over their heads, glowing a sickly, neon green. "

 

This sounds like it could be a lot of fun to roleplay. It seems like it has a lot of potential.

Don't you think they will feel left out? Maybe they won't feel like joining if we start. But maybe you're right..

This looks really neat. I've been looking for a new RP to join. I think I'll join in with my character, Honey Seed.

 

Honey Seed's back ached from the weight of her bags. It was barely morning in Ponyville and her eyes were heavy from all the sleep she didn't get on the train ride here. She's heard all sorts of rumors about the Everfree Forest and she couldn't wait to find out if even half of them were true. There were animals that acted like plants and plants that acted like animals, and she couldn't wait to see if she could find the latter. She just wished she didn't bring so much. Thinking it over, there wasn't a single thing that she didn't need. After all, a botany expedition to the Everfree Forest required more than the usual tools, but she just wished she could afford an assistant to help carry some of this stuff.

Breakdown was just taking a little walk then he saw a poster. "An investigation about some scream in the middle of the night? I officially want in." He continued to read to find out where this meeting was. He thought to himself, "Finally something to do in Ponyville." He then started his walk to the meeting place

Well, you could think about why your character would be interested in investigating the Everfree Forest. What's in it for him if he joins the party? Morbid curiosity? Is someone making him? These are just suggestions of course, since you know your character better than I do. Just figure out the why would your character be in this story and that should give you an idea of what you're character can do.
