Should all of the Mane Six become alicorns?

i think i might get some hate comments for this, but frankly i don't care. i just been thinkin since twilie's an alicorn that the others should become alicorns, too. let's say, like twilight, they do something that deems them worthy of becoming alicorns. each one by one with different seasons.

In the absolute end of the series, yes. Either that or they should all stay the three races they are (depending on where they take Twilight).

I'm all for equality between the Mane Six, but no. There isn't really any point or buildup to it, it would diminish the importance of Alicorns, the rest of the Mane Six probably don't particularly WANT to become Alicorns (then again I wasn't sure if Twilight would want to be one either) and I think that they are more interesting the way they are.

I wouldn't approve of it. We already have enough alicorns, so why make EVEN MORE? It'll ruin the point of the insanely rare alicorn breed. Basically, what I'm trying to say is..

Okay, who's read Captain Underpants? The fourth book in that series is about a villain with a humiliating name, so he hatches an evil plot to rename everyone else on the planet with a humiliating name... instead of just changing his own.

 

Same applies here. It would only be issues with fairness that all of the Mane 6 would become alicorns, and if that were the actual issue it would make much more sense to just bring Twilight back to normal again - alicorns are pretty much all-in-one types of pony, it would nullify everypony's special talents. (I wonder whether they're called alicorns because it works like "all"-icorns.)

Plot/story-wise? Not the best way. As mentioned, it would make an 'okay' ending, though not a very fun one given that it just turned into a praise-fest for the Mane 6.

 

OMG LOVEY DOVER-wise? Sure, why not.

 

Personally? Considering that it doesn't seem to take ANYTHING to turn somepony into an Alicorn(except magic from another Alicorn?), the whole point of an Alicorn feels a bit dull since they have no downsides to being one as opposed to all other ponies.

(I get they're Princesses and all, but jeebz, there should be some heavy cost other than being responsible for ruling Equestria, cuz clearly they're not gonna die anytime soon.)

Okay, maybe that won't happen, but still. I like Pinkie as an Earth Pony. I know AJ certainly wouldn't want to be changed. RD seems happy with just wings, and I don't think Fluttershy or Rarity care about either a horn or wings.

I mean the concept of an Alicorn is already starting to go down.

Celestia's and Luna were ment to be (besides Twilight's transformation, as it was Laurne's plan from the beginning) the only Alicorns. Princess Cadance wasn't ment to be an Alicorn at first, but they turned her into one.

The point is Alicrons where suppose to be special.

If we put up anymore alicorns we may as well make some random lost Alicorn nation.

No no no :/... I can understand twilight becoming a Alicorn now that I have seen the season finale but idk that just does not sound right at all. I wouldn't want them to all change of course not! Each one of them is unique and to their own race. By making them all Alicorns what point would there be in have unique characters that we have now? There are only 4 current alicorns (if I have to name them...seriously?) anyway: I can understand the 2 solar sisters, and an alicorn of love works for me. and ill be ok with alicorn twilight, but the rest: its just unnecessary

This show has been centered around Twilight from the beginning and shown how she is the apprentice to Celestia, the smartest person in ponyville, and perhaps the best wizard of her age. Whether you see she that became an alicorn princess because of inventing new magic, because she has royal connections, or because she's been fufilling one LONG 3 season destiny it's clear than none of the others are in that same league. Sorry to burst your bubble OP but none of the others are deserving of that. The mane 6 don't all get raises just because Twi got promoted.

No. What have they done to deserve royalty? Twilight is related to royalty, was taught by royalty, was taken care of by royalty, and even taught royalty herself the magic of friendship. She is the bearer of the most recent discovered Element of Harmony, and has many magical powers. Plus, she's smart. The others barely even know the princesses.

I think Twilight should be the only one to be an alicorn, the others haven't done as much "memorable" things as she had. And frankly it would ruin the show (just my opinion). The mane 6 have their own character and story and it wouldn't be a good change to them if they were to become MORE alicorns.

I totally agree with this. Also, it was Twilight's destiny to become an alicorn, the other 5 have different ones. Of course they've achieved great things too, after all they're the Elements of Harmony, but Twilight just seems to be a little more 'special'.

Sorry about that, anyway if they were all alicorns. It would be called My Little Unicorn: Friendship is Wings. If they were all alicorns, there would be no purpose and plus the alicorn tradition wouldn't be disgraced but it wouldn't have meaning anymore.
