BUCK (Brony UK Convention) 2013 News/Discussion

£55 for the BUCK ticket and ~£61 for the train ticket w/ Virgin which takes 2-3hours total. I'm only going there on Saturday as I don't plan to spend the night over there. I prolly will next year if I like it enough however. Hopefully it will take place on bank holiday weekend next year as well. But I'm leaving from London REALLY early because I expect to have to stand in line for about 2 hours anyways

 

Hopefully I can gather people to go as a group next year, it's always more fun traveling with company.

 

Though... I'm also planning on going to Annecy Festival again next year, so I guess I'll have to see which one pans out.

Yup, I'm going. I've got myself in for the Summer Sun Celebration on the Friday, a 20% Cooler ticket for the weekend and I've even managed to get hold of an Afterparty ticket. I live pretty close to Manchester, so the opportunity was too good to pass up.

 

I'm ridiculously lucky to the point of unfairness, I know.

 

That said, I'm on my own with regard to planned company. Like a lot of others, I'm looking to team up with some lovely people from this site if that's possible. If anyone else is going, let me know!

I only found out about it this year, and I so desperately wanted to go - so did my cousin and my sister. But we decided to save up for next year instead. So hopefully we can! Sad that we're missing Eileen Montgomery there, but I hope she's there next year!

I'm contemplating buying tickets for the summer sun celebration just for The Living Tombstone but I can't bring myself to do it yet. I'd kill to perform myself, I'll try auditioning for 2014 <3

I'm there! Got my mitts on a 20% Cooler ticket during the first wave, along with an SSC ticket. I'm so looking forward to it. I'm with the Hatters group from UK of Equestria and plan to go wild. We should all form an MLPForums tribe.

Oh yeah, Michelle Creber! AND she does the singing voice of both Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. Can't wait for her panel and singing (I just hope everyone will shush during her performance!)

 

The pony pub quiz should be a laugh. And the dramatic fan fiction readings... it's almost as if there won't be enough time to see all the different awesome stuff. SSC is going to be huge; two thousand people is going to make a massive clamour! It's a shame that me being 17 means no Fab After Party, but hey... I'll need my rest by then

I just checked the buck website and pressed buy tickets or whatever it's called and it said "Summer Sun Celebration Wave 1 Sold out"Yet it says available on the page before it.

That's strange. I get the same - customer service for tickets is at registration@buckcon.org, see if you can get in touch with them to fix it. It'd be a shame for your friend to miss out on the SSC.

I've sent them a message so let's hope they sort it out as soon as.Because I've realised the first train home on Friday is at 6:21AM that means 6 hours of walking around Manchester (probs gonna get mugged)

Haha, that's the main misconception about Manchester. Stay in the crowded centre and don't trail off to dodgy places like Salford and you're pretty much safe. It'll be easy to recognise groups of Bronies doing the same, so you can always join them and have a chat.

 

The megabus group I'm with are planning to all go to a certain café (undecided which yet) to chill/chat before the SSC starts. You should come along to that

The Salford estates would eat a brony alive.I've been to Manchester a few times and it has that criminal feel to it which I have only noticed in Glasgow,Hull,London and Middlesborough.
