Sorry, maybe I got carried away. I was just excited to see an ancient Roman rp up. I would sign up, but I don't trust my own dedication to hold. Oh well, I'll get out of the way now.

Well, they did, so the question of why is kind of irrelevant. They didn't like the greeks either, in fact they hated each other, but you were at least as likely to hear greek spoken on the streets of rome as latin.

I didn't make this one. I had the responsibility of DMing thrust upon me because Brook suddenly lost all interest in RPing. Hence "Rebooted before it even began".

 

You're accepted. I'd suggest maybe making her a senator or something like that. With the empire unstable, the emperor's power is waning, and the senate has an opportunity to reclaim more power, and potentially even restore the republic. But it's up to you of course.

The only person who has specified what sort of role they have (I think) is Darklord, who's the emperor, ask him I guess. Gladius wouldn't want servants even though he comes from a prestigious family and certainly could have them.

Yeah, alright. Gladius is one of the guards too, just so you know. Well, he sort of is. He's in the military and he's also a gladiator.

Gladiators often came from elite families and sometimes even politicians would fight in the games. So yes, you can do both.

Glory could work as a prophet type who the ponies look to for guidance in times of trouble and instability (like now, in the aftermath of the changeling invasion). Perhaps she could even be someone who the citizens rally around should there be some sort of uprising. Were that the case, I would have no problem allowing her as a pseudo-alicorn (and yes, I did read your explanation of how she's not really an alicorn).

 

Diego is fine, but if he's a gladiator I need to know more about his background. Gladiators were mainly slaves, but occasional they were among the elite and joined by choice for a chance at fame and glory. So I need to know which one he is.

 

Anyway, you're free to use either or both, but if I had to pick one, I'd rather have Glory, I guess.

You can have Unholy be an Oracle too if you really want. You could either be some sort of apprentice of Glory (or Glory could be your apprentice I suppose) or you could be sort of like a rival or something.

I have one... Godfather Glory or You get it XD since they called their prophets with prophet then their names or just their name if they were higher ranks but most called prophet so the name Glory would not be used much.
