  1. Well color me surprised! They actually did it! Edit: Dang and on top of that the Prime Minister is resigning. That's insane.
  2. Eh, I've already seen this but I feel like critiquing the video... Oliver has surprisingly few points to make for a 15 minute video, and even less substance to back them up with: "Immigration policy may not change" "Hysteria of over regulation is a red herring" "The cost of membership is reasonable" "The economic benefits of staying out-way the costs" I think most of the controversy comes from the idea that Britain would lose out on EU markets without complying to EU demands, but I would argue that Britain would actually have more diplomatic and economic leverage outside of the EU. For example, both Norway and Switzerland are non-EU members but have virtually unlimited access to the EU market. Yes it cost some money to maintain these trade agreements with the EU, but it's a fraction of what Britain has to pay per-capita. On top of that Norway and Switzerland don't have to abide by the ridiculous business regulation EU members are subjected to. It isn't a surprise to me that both Norway and Switzerland have a gdp per-capita more than double that of Britain.
  3. So Britain will be holding a referendum tomorrow on whether to stay in the European Union or not. The polls in Britain have been neck and neck so I really can't call anything. Honestly I'm quite exhilarated but get the feeling I'm going to be disappointed in the end. Personally I believe Britain should leave; I may or may not discuss my reasons but generally I view a decentralization of power as a good thing. So what do you guys think? Would Britain be better off as an independent state? Do most people even care, lol?
  4. I can't say for sure, but I must have hit puberty been around 13. I noticed around this time that I stopped crying. Previously I'd cry like every other week over stupid things. I hear guys restrain from crying after hitting puberty. Probably true.
  5. Pink: Never really liked pink, at least that dull shade of pink. It looks better deeper or darker (not hot pink), but otherwise I find pink ugly. Red: I like red. In my opinion, it is one of the deepest and richest colors, but can look cheap at times, and start looking pink. Orange: I use to like orange, but I think it is kinda ugly. I really like a bronze-ish orange, or bronze in general if you can call it orange. Yellow: Yellow is a nice color. The only problem is half the time it's so bright it hurts my eyes, haha. Green: Yes, green is my favorite color, for no perticular reason, other than it has been my favorite for my whole life. I just think it's a pleasent color. Literally everything looks 20% more attractive in green. When I buy clothes, I only see the green shirts, and I can't judge other shirts fairly. My wardrobe is almost entirely just shades of green. As usual, especially like deep and dark shades, but I also find dull shades appealing. The only shade I stay away from is really bright shades, but they're still not hard to look at. Blue: Blue, I didn't always like blue, but that's because it was always my brothers favorite color. Now I think blue can be a very deep and rich color. Purple: I really like purple. It can look bad in certain shades, but of all the colors I think purple is the richest and deepest color. Brown: Brown? I like bronze-ish colors, as I've said before, but otherwise, I don't find brown a very "colorful" color. Gray: Gray never looked good. I don't have much to say about it. White: I love white. Looks great against any color. If I was a super hero, white would be my secondary color, regardless. Black: Looked bad against most colors, in my opinion. Maybe against really dark colors, it can look okay.
  6. Of all the elements I think honesty is most lacking in our world, and is one of the most "good" trait a person can have. How could there be any problems if everyone just told the truth. But of course, in a world full of honest people, one liar would ruin everything. Because anyone could be suckered into his lies. The second most important element would either be laughter or kindness. Just one person with kindness and compassion can affact many. Same with laughter. I'd put loyalty on the bottom. I mean, loyalty is good and all, you should be loyal to your friends, but should you stand up for them no matter what? What if you know (or at least think) they're wrong? I think you should come to a disagreement everyone once and awhile. When you express loyalty to anything, such as a country, an idea, a king, a "princess"; your assuming that these "things" aren't lying to you, which in some cases they are. If that didn't make sense the way I put it, basically, loyalty to the wrong person can be very dangerous. About generosity... I actually don't know what to say. Generosity is good, helping people is good; aren't these acts of kindness? I personally struggle with generosity. Not just that I'm greedy, but I also have trouble accepting gift from people or asking for help. So yeah, I don't feel like I have a valid opinion on generosity.
  7. Such a cute little test, and pretty accurate going by other quizzes I've done. Honestly the political alignment I was expecting to have.
  8. Once, when I was like, five or six (and I still very well remember the pain), I fractured my lower leg. And not just a little crack, but literal separation of the tibia bone, and the fibula too I think (it's been a while since anyone's told me). Anyways, I was in crutches for nearly a year. It was horrible, and I had to pretty much learn to walk all over again. And I just realized I never said how I got this terrible injury. It was on a ski hill, I fell, and some person ran over my leg. Somehow our skies got locked and my leg was twisted like 360 degrees (probably not that much, but it really couldn't of gotten worse, for my leg bone). The guy who ran me over was of course much bigger than me (me being so young), so he probably wasn't going to get hurt. No I don't know him, but gotta feel bad for him. Running over little kids like me.
  9. Not really a phobia, I just tend to keep my distance from little critters; All the amphibians, no matter how small or large (yes, frogs). Same when it comes to reptiles (yes, turtles). Most insects and arthropods; altough pests like mosquito don't frigten me. Of course they still bug me (dat pun). When it comes the mammels, only rodents I think. Oh, and birds, I stay away from all of them. More "phobias": The dark is scary, anywhere there is complete darkness (especially closets n' stuff, or at night in the forest) my mind fills in horrific images, like the boogie-man and other monsters. Now, none of these things completly shut me down, or give me a panic attack, I just mostly feel really uncomfortable around them. Which I guess what a phobia is? Edit: Lol, my fears are so typical.
  10. It's a pain when kids are given a name were the vowels are unusually replaced by "y", like in "Alyx", and "Madyson", "Madisyn", and "Madysyn". And that's not the worst part: When you spell their name wrong and they and/or their parents get all butthurt over it big time. My name is spelled wrong all the time, and I am infinitly merciful and sympathetic to people who misspell it. Now mispronunciation is completly different...
  11. Some of my favorite Plato quotes. "Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something." -Plato "One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors." -Plato "Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws." -Plato
  12. I would say Superman would win, but it depends on "which" one of him you compare. Pre-crisis Superman is OP and no one should be able to defeat him, considering he had any powers the writers could come up with and had only one weakness, kryponite. With risistance to magic unlike future generations, Celestia wouldn't really have any advantage, and Superman with all his infinite powers can papowee her. Now if your talking of later, more reasonably Superman generations, Celestia would have way more of a chance of beating him, since he lacks risistance to magic. But Superman is so fast and has so many abilities n' stuff, it would we be quite a challenge.
  13. Hot chocolate; that is all, nothing else. I'll have myself a cup every once and awhile. Drank a mug of it today actually. I really don't care for any other warm drink. I've never really liked tea, and I've honestly never had coffee before.
  14. I just though dragons aged REALLY slowly. Spike is almost as old as Twilight, and he's still a baby dragon. He has grown a little bit since he hatched from the egg, so I don't think his aging has frozen. I can't explain Spike's growth spurt in "Secret of my Excess". How many dragons grow like this? In "Dragon Quest", you see teenage and adult dragons, and I assume they're growing slowly like Spike is; or are they growing in spurts driven by greed?
  15. Rainbow Dash was my least favorite of the mane 6 when the show started out, but because her character developed so well, I've come to like her. I still wouldn't call her my favorite, but of all the mane 6 my opinion on Dash has changed the most.
  16. I've been a vegetarian my entire life, and protein has never been a shortage for me. I'd say I'm more physically fit than most people in my country, the US (which maybe isn't saying much). I'm not basing this entirely on my diet of course; I do exercise regularly. What I don't get is why some omnivorous get so offended and defensive of their diet when a vegetarian is around, as if I'm challenging their lifestyle. Maybe I am? But I do think an omnivorous diet is completely legit. Of course, since meat is mass produced the way it is in modern times, it is much lower quality than it should be.
  17. You'll hear that over and over again historically. Some person thinks they got some weapon that will change/eliminate war, and over and over again they're proven wrong.
  18. Honestly, I would like to stay in my human form. In the pony form I would be so socially awkward, and I wouldn't want to explain myself. I would rather be myself as a human if I ever visited Equestria.
  19. Green: Rich, Lively, Deep - This is what I want in a color, but I'm not quite sure how this explains myself? Killer Whale: Sleek, Intelligent, Invincible - I guess I typically have a respect for other people. I tend to overrate everyone around me, if that makes any sense. White Room: Boring, Blank, Thinking - I had to think over this for a while for some reason... No more comment. Pretty interesting this little test was.
  20. I don't think global warming is man made. Climate change has been taking place throughout the earth's lifetime, so why is it our fault this time?
  21. Humans have obvious features of carnivores/omnivores. For example, our eyes face forward like most predators'. This characteristic is very noticeable and "should" terrify herbivorous ponies. Not that a pony couldn't overide this fear with assured invulnerability, but my point is that human should instinctively scare ponies because of our generally "carnivorous" appearance.
  22. I actually have quite a bit to say about this. When I go up stairs I'm on my tiptoes. If I'm not rushing up the stairs, my feet alternate from step to step at a consistant pace. I don't skip a step and neither feet ever use the same step twice. When I'm rush up stairs, I do one of two things: If the stairs aren't very steep, I will kinda hop up the stairs, again on my tiptoes, but instead I will skip a step. On steep stairs, I rapidly jog up on tiptoes, but I take it one step at a time, meaning both my feet will be on the same step in between paces. Going downstairs I always decend fast. I drop myself on each step and catch the next step with my heel. Again, I don't skip a step or put both feet on the same step.
  23. Well, considering humans are diurnal, and I'm a human, I'd rather do things in the day time, but I do love the night time as well. It's fun to stay up late every once and awhile. Does anyone else notice they get more loopy the longer they stay up. When I say that, I mean I sometimes say stupid things, and talk more smoothly (or atleast think I am).
  24. Yes, I love kiwi; I've been eating them my whole life. When it comes to the bird, they look cute, but I honestly have a weird fear of birds. Actually, I'm honestly finicky with most animals, especially if their not mammals.
  25. I'm honestly not the traveling type of guy, but if I ever did happen to go vocation in another continent, it would be Europe; specifically Italy or maybe Greece. I am fascinated by the ancient world of the mediterranean; my favorites Greco-Roman cultures. Other than that, I really don't have any reason or disire to go overseas.
