Centaurs in the MLP universe?

I was playing my favorite old game series, Shining Force, which just so happens to include a practical Gig of centaurs. They're literally the only game, or any form of media i've seen with nearly as many centaurs as humans in it. 

 

Anywho, it got me wondering. Could centaurs be viable in the mlp universe? We have a minotaur, so it doesn't seem too unlikely. But the inclusion of centaurs would ad a human element that minotaurs don't quite have. 

 

Also...any ideas what a centaurs human half would look like? We don't exactly have any idea what a human would look like in the style of Gen 4 ponies. I'm actually curious if any artists out there might like to take up the task of dreaming one of these up.

 

Also, here's a picture of Ken the centaur....for any who don't have any clue what a centaur is....though, if you don't...dang...that's surprising.

If you look around you can and will find centaur versions of your mlp charcters some people have done them (some mayb er34 just so you are aware). I think getting to close to showing even someone as half-human would hurt the show's continuity (even worse would be Equestrian Girls but THAT's a WHOLE other ball of wax) so doubt that would happen as interesting as that might be.

Well normally, a Minotaurs lover half is supposed to be human, but if you noticed on MLP it looks like a goat. I doubt Centaurs would work because they would need to change it too much.

Ken is the first centaur companion you meet in the old genesis game Shining Force. he's also in the GBA remake, which is actually I think, where that particular picture is from.

I KNEW IT!!!!

I knew is wasn't the only one who still played this game. Most of the people I have asked have never even heard of this game.

 

Anyway back to the subject of centaurs being in the MLP universe. Well I could see it happen actually.

How?

Well they can have the same design of a centaur except for one of two factors.

1)They have all the qualities that a centaur has, except their heads are still esquien like (horse-like).

 

2)They have all the qualities of a centaur, bu they arn't skin colored, but rather colored in a way that makes it hard to tell if they are humans such as coloring them blue.

 

3) Back to the head, but instead of horse-like heads they may make tweaks on the faces to make them look not human, but at the same time not making them look like monsters.

 

Out of all of them idea #1 seems the most plossible.
