gaming Is infamous a good game?

I've been thinking about a game called InFamous. And I have heard from friends that is really awesome. Is it A really good game and worth my money for me to buy and play this?

Idk I don't have a PS3 so I've never personally played it, but I've seen some gameplay from others of it and it looks really awesome.

 

I'd say if you have a PS3 it would make sense to get it. Its an exclusive for the system, and a pretty popular one, I hear from people who have PS3's that its a must play game.

 

So i'd say yeah, but I've never actually played it. Looks pretty darn fun and good though. It would be a reason for me to get a PS3 for sure.

Yes. I've beaten it twice already, and I can personally tell you it was a blast all the way through. Great story, great characters, and great endings.

Yes, it and its sequel are wonderful games. I've beaten both a countless amount of times, and they never get old. I highly recommend them.

Infamous was an increadibly enjoyable sandbox action adventure game with simple controls interesting characters and story plus you as Cole shoot lightning from your hand, I mean come one that alone is good enough.

Yes indeed it is. I played through both of the games twice. It has a really great story and the gameplay is tons of fun with all the different unlockable powers. And there are always side missions after you beat the game.

I really like both games in the Infamous series.  I like the second game better though.  You get a weapon that is very helpful in combat, cooler clothes, and new powers.  Both games are good though.  The trailers for both the first and second games are in the spoiler below.

I Platinum'd both games and they're both fantastic.  They lend themselves to multiple playthroughs with the good/evil thing giving each alignment different unlockable powers and very different endings.  If you have save files for the first game, you can use those to get instant karma based on the imported save file and some more power capacity, I think.  It's definitely worth it, if you're planning on playing both games, to play the original first.

 

Regarding my personal preference, I can't get enough of Cole's gravelly voice in the original.  His voice in 2 took some getting used to.  Cutscenes look a lot better in 2, but gameplay looks and feels about the same in both.  The vanilla ranged attack sort of downgrades in 2 as an incentive to use the other toys they give you and as an excuse to make it upgrade-able, which is cool I guess.  2 also takes the karma system to an extreme with exclusive (I think?) fire and ice powers for evil and good respectively.  2 also has a sort of LittleBigPlanet-style mission builder where you can play missions that other people made, but I rarely used it.  I guess 2 is my favorite if I had to choose, but they're both awesome and you should play them both if you get the chance.

 

Just throwing this out there, but I've heard that inFamous 2 physically cannot be ported to a DVD (therefore a 360-compatible disc) because it is too large.  It makes really good use of all that space it takes up on the Blu-Ray.
