funny thing was... i happened to be browsing his youtube list and noticed that the title didn't seem familiar.... and it was also uploaded in February..... last year.... but i decided to see what he'd done lately... when i happened past this song.... it just seemed to me like it fit the episode a little too well.... sure it wasn't exactly a difficult video as its more or less places scene by scene... just little quicker then the actual show..... all i had to do was make lots of cuts and time it i guess to the beat... but to me starting off sounding emotionally sad and then becoming uplifting just inspired me to make this in less then 2 days...

 

He's not even a brony but he seemed quite pleased with the final result... i just hope it gets little more popular... more so to get hm more attention as well for his awesome music...  i tried passing this one to EQD but i haven't heard back from them for this or the happy birthday video... which in turn... if they don't think its good enough to post then i kinda almost think to myself that maybe my stuff really isn't all that good.... i have had them post a few... but lately... not so much... anyways sure i love new comments/subscribers on youtube.for myself .. but if he gets some out of it as well, then even better!

That's interesting. I'm glad he liked the final result even though he isn't a brony.

 

You shouldn't feel like your stuff isn't good if it doesn't get accepted to EqD. EqD is extremely popular, and they might get so many music video submissions they wouldn't be able to feature all of them.

Part of it also might be that they don't want to clog up their compilations with one creator, especially since you already have a good sized following and they feel that you don't need the help. They also might be going through a lot of videos at once and overlook things. 

 

Anyways, at first, I was concerned about how many Magical Mystery Cure clips there were, but it seems like the video is intended to be a recontextualization of the episode, so that is not an issue. Within the clips, you do an excellent job of timing the music with the video. When the drums boom, the movement follows accordingly. Very nice. I was particularly impressed by the "A True True Friend" sequence.

 

However, sometimes the transitions between clips were... awkward. For example, the transition from 0:29 to 0:31 included one of the clips (I'm not sure which) fading out while cutting to the next one, which looked a little sloppy. An instance of strange timing came between 0:51 and 0:52, where it starts to zoom out from Pinkie, and then BAM, cut. Some of these I think could be improved with a simple crossfade, which would make both feel less abrupt. 

 

But overall, nice job! And be sure to tell your friend that they are an amazing composer. That's the kind of music I love to listen to all the time.
